I can not stand but for about 30 seconds at a time, for I have a spine injury. This was not taken into consideration as I was being x-rayed. I was in considerable pain by the time I left x-ray and was taken to a room. Where I was seen by a PA-C Physician Assistant who proceeded to move my knee and leg to the point of tears. When the PA-C was finished, he left the room. A few minutes later a doctor : whose name I do not know, for he never introduced himself - came into the room to tell me that he seen no arthritis in my hip and since I won't do physical therapy theres nothing he can do for me and was out the door before I could say anything. The PA-C came back into the room a little time after that, to tell me he was going to give me a cortisone, which if my knee is a muscle problem the medicine would help, if it does not help that would be useful to tell the next specialist I was going to see. A young male nurse came in with a tablet for me to sign, I would not sign without reading what I was signing -which seemed to irrate the nurse. As I was reading the PA-C started jabbing the tip of the shot into the very painful spot on the side of my knee. As I was signing the tablet, the nurse whiched over and checked another box on the tablet and then took the tablet from me. I was then sprayed with a liquid that was running down onto my foot and before the nurse could wipe any of it up, the PA-C gave me the shot. Both then left. I had no time to ask about why the cortisone box was not checked on the tablet and what medicine was that the two boxes were checked. By this time I was in complete agony and in no way could deal with the rude front office. I was taken home and right away my husband called to have a copy of what I had signed on the tablet sent to me. After over a dozen calls, he finally received a link for me to sign up to see my records there. Of course the copy of what we wanted was no where to be found in my records. I also feel that they took what I said and formed it into their words, changing the meaning of what was said. If you are referred here, I highly recommend that you do a lot of research on the place before going there.

He didn't show up for scheduled follow-up appts, never saw or called me in the hospital. Nor did he send a replacement. Weeks later, I underwent a second, emergency replacement of Schultz's replacement. Five weeks after the surgery, I suffered two separate dislocations and screaming ambulance trips because he left me so damaged. I even required ADDITIONAL surgery and extremely difficult repairs a few years after the second replacement. I'm now seriously and permanently disabled. And his online photo is at least 25 years old. Just one more lie. James Moravek didn't listen to me for a YEAR while I told him I was in pain after a shoulder replacement. When he finally took images, there were fractures in my scapula from the screws. He told me he would repair and replace it again. Instead I woke up with half of the original replacement. I now have NO shoulder. JAMES TELFER called me a "problem child" when the shoulder surgery he performed didn't work. A surgeon in another practice fixed it. MASINI massively underestimated the care I'd need after my fourth hip surgery. The last time I saw him, he told me to call him in a few weeks to get more information about a question I had. My messages to him went ignored for months. When I repeatedly inquired, I finally got a message to call for an appointment with him. I immediately did, but was told he had retired. I had no notice of that, and telling me to call for an appointment with HIM was obviously a lie. He was gone. They just wanted me to stay with the practice. They offered me SCHULTZ. (see above.) Then they suggested I see Masini's PA, MATT. I'd already told the practice I never wanted to see Matt again. I've never met a more dismissive pat-her-on-the-shoulder-and-get-rid-of-her man in my life. And I've met plenty. This place is a nightmare.

Being naive about back surgeries we thought my husband was getting the best care he could. After the 2nd surgery failed miserably a friend suggested that we see Dr. Nicholas Shroeder at OSOC. Within minutes of meeting with us he explained clearly why the first two surgeries had failed. By this point my husband is in constant pain and can no longer stand up straight. Dr. Shroeder explained what he felt the best course of action was going to be for Tom's situation. Dr. Shroeder had the new pieces needed for Tom's back made specifically for him in France. The previous neurosurgeon had just grabbed any rods and screws within reach. That was what kept Tom from standing upright. The picture on the right shows the neurosurgeon placed straight rods in his back. Losing the natural curve is what kept him from ever standing straight and in excruciating pain. The picture on the left is what was needed to give Tom the ability to walk and have a good quality of life again. This shows the difference between an excellent surgeon and one who should never be allowed to practice medicine again. The day of the surgery was a very long one. Dr Shroeder performed the 14 hour surgery to correct the neurosurgeon's mess. He actually had to rebuild Tom's back vertebrae by vertebrae. There were a few appointments before the surgery and a few during the next year. It is a 3 hour drive each way for appointments/surgery. Both my husband and I feel that the drive back and forth saved his life. I do not say that lightly. It's been 6 years since his surgery at OSOC and we are so grateful to Dr. Shroeder and his wonderful staff, especially Liz. Their knowledge, patience, compassion and kindness is so appreciated.

She had to be taken to the ER, which was a horrible experience. They basically told her to splint her leg and ice it. Couldn't say anything else. So we made an appointment here soon afterwards. Within the first few minutes of having her in one of the rooms, Jessica figured out that she has an MCL tear, and possibly a meniscus tear or ACL tear (pending MRI confirmation). We got an MRI at another facility that they made an appointment for, and now we are just waiting to hear the results of that. Update: We got the MRI results and her ACL is torn! So she needs surgery. The Core Institute is also helping us out with this, as well as helping fit my wife for a better brace to be used post-surgery.

At the same time he broke his ankle so severely that his foot laid completely off to one side and his bone was sticking out where his foot should have been. That night in the emergency room they told me that my husband would most likely lose the leg. Thank goodness they had Dr Borden on call. Surprisingly the knee was the most complicated fix. Eight or nine surgeries on that and three on the ankle later, despite a shredded tendon and a massive infection that developed, Brian managed to not only save my husband's leg, it is entirely functional and he only walks with a slight limp. He is simply a genius and I am so grateful to him. One of the things I like best about Dr Borden is his bedside manner. He is direct and strraightforward. He does not sugarcoat anything but he does not take away hope either. He is innovative and does everything he can to treat the injury in a manner that will result best for the patient. He made sure to keep us both fully informed and I really trusted him because of it. Recently when my mom dealt with a bad shoulder that did not respond to treatment she did not hesitate and went straight to Dr Borden He got better x rays done and gave her a clear and more accurate diagnosis, discovering her shoulder was not impingement or a rotator cuff problem at all but rather a frozen shoulder. I recommend him to everyone I know.
