Dan is the man. Dan and crew were patient and understanding with my needs. I started my point to recovery following a car accident last June. I was making progress until a tear in my meniscus was discovered due to a MRI scan in September. I explained my circumstances to Dan because I was concerned with where we go from there. He stated that | should continue the therapy leading up to surgery because it would strengthen my knee and make for a faster recovery following the surgery which made perfect sense. Had my first visit here today. I really had a good visit. The initial exam was thorough and I felt genuinely listened to. The provider was knowledgeable and completed a initial visit. The exercises in house were good and focused on my right knee issues among other things like my hips and balance. The ice and stim treatments were also a nice close for the visit. The therapist took time out to tape my knee after the visit. That was an added bonus star for me. The assistant were also nice and overall the staff is kind and friendly. Dr. Charlie Mill and his staff are wonderful. I had a pretty bad calf sprain that left me unable to walk. After a few sessions, I finally ditched my crutches. The initial session is a throughout examination of the injury. You'll follow a program of exercises and stretches that you'll do in the office and at home. 5 stars. I have been a physical therapy patient at Mid-County Therapy a few times now over the past 3 years and they are the best practice I have ever experienced. I feel obligated to share with others how much they have helped me in my recovery. The environment is very friendly and everyone is very laid-back and welcoming. They have a good time at work and you can tell they are into what they're doing, which translates to much better treatment of all of us. I also appreciate that they seem to take their time, they are not rushing to get you through and the next one in, instead they make sure you get what you need. I'm a 44 year-old man, who is 5'11", 220 lbs. and suffer from frequent lower back pain with bouts of my back going completely out a few times per year. The regiment of exercise they will get you on which is designed specifically for you does wonders by itself, but it's the treatment on top of that which puts them over the top. Their treatments vary as they use their expertise to decide what you need on any particular day. Over the past 8 weeks of therapy for myself they have used massage therapy, cupping therapy, and advanced partner stretching. And on top of that, every time I received Electrical Stimulation Therapy with a cold or hot press, which also does wonders... The exercise regiment combined with Electrical Stimulation Therapy and Custom Therapy to include massage, cupping, etc. is what you get on every single visit. They have helped me tremendously and unfortunately I'll be back, because my back will go out again and again... Fortunately though, I know I can count on them to get me back to stability. read more

My need for post-op PT, after a full knee replacement, brought me to Mid County PT. The front desk staff is very efficient, polite, and pleasant. These are important qualities when clients arrive not knowing what to expect and are in pain. The technicians are experienced and ensure clients understand the exercise to be done. Like the therapists, the techs monitor for technique during the exercise and help with corrections, as needed. The physical therapists are encouraging, thorough, attentive, and flexible according to the need and ability of the client. There is no one size fits all approach. Each client is reviewed and the therapist's treatment plan is developed so the client will be as close as possible to the best he or she can be when the prescribed sessions are completed. Great place to get some healing done! They're always thinking about their patients and treat you like family. They listen to you and don't just trudge along if you say something isn't working. I'm updating a previous review for this facility. This is my third therapy session here at this location and it was 100% turn around from my first time. Everyone is very nice. They disinfect the machines and the places where you need to seat or lay down. The receptionist lady very nice as well. Charles Mills, the best therapist. I am posting this review strictly about their billing practices. I received a letter in the mail stating I had a bill due that was late (a bill in which I was unaware of). It also said that I would have 10 days to contact them prior to them sending the bill to collections. They also did not provide information in this letter as to how to pay this "bill". It was just a nonsense break down of charges and insurance payments that made no sense to me. So I called and left messages with the front desk since apparently the only person who could assist was not there (within this random 10 day deadline I was provided) and they never bothered to call me back. It has now been another week, and no one bothered to call. So now I have no idea what the status is, and whether or not I should still attempt to pay whatever it is a supposedly owe. As much as I enjoyed most of the techs and PTs, I will never go back here because I find their billing practices to be shady, and whoever they have in charge of their billing to be unprofessional and lacking any customer service since they couldn't bother to return my calls despite the fact that I called within her 10 day allotted time frame saying she would assist. This might be a miscommunication, but the lack of response is enough for me to take my business elsewhere. read more

Mid-County Physical Therapy is the only place I will go for physical therapy. I have had to go myself as well as other members of my family. The therapists are well trained and take the time to talk with you about the plan to get you back to where you need to be. All of the staff is amazing and I have never had a problem with scheduling. Charlie Mill's hold his staff to a high standard and they all excel. I have had a knee replacement and just went back for am issue with my hand. It was like I was seeing old friends. Been going here for about 2 months, started twice a week, then tapered down to once a week, for a shoulder issue. Omaid has been the therapist that's worked with me, along with most of the assistants there (Nate, Robert, Elsbeth, Jenn, Ashleigh....forgive me if I left anyone out or spelled a name wrong). I've spoken with Charlie, the owner, a couple of times. Real nice guy, friendly, seems pretty knowledgeable. The front desk staff has been friendly and welcoming each time I go in. Overall my experience here has been very positive, and educational. I've learned several things from the staff about what I should be doing to strengthen and correctly exercise my shoulders to prevent injury. All of the Mid-County staff have an unfailingly casual, friendly but organized manner. Moira and Colleen at the front desk are always ready with help and a smile. Even when there were more patients than physical therapy techs at hand, Tanner, Aaron--and, early on, Christian--maintained their air of cheerful competence. No matter how busy they got, I never heard one of them betray impatience with a patient or fail to explain an exercise, even for the umpteenth time. Best of, supervisory staff always had the day's protocol ready for each patient and took some time each visit to work with each person individually. PTA Jen and physical therapist Holly never seemed to stop moving. Holly's humorous but practical approach was especially valuable, since I began with serious issues with pain and swelling after a total knee replacement. Within a week or so, she had me back on track and reconstructing my walk so I could move smoothly, without pain. I arrived at the practice at the beginning of the covid-19 shutdown, before anyone was prepared, so she even made sturdy cloth face masks that my husband and I are using to this day. In sum, I have only the best to say about the hard-working staff and its results. Three and a half months out from surgery, I can walk miles, go up and down stairs easily and am even beginning to hit a little tennis again. Absolutely the best in the area! This is my 2Thisnd round with them, one for my shoulder and now for my knee. I live in Alex so, I tried places that were closer. My surgeon recommended these guys back in 2008 and I love them. Personable, professional, sense of humor, patience, polite without going overboard. They move you along thru the equipment but there is never a rush. And the last stop where you see the professional therapy person (?) I don't know the appropriate term, they are the best. it amazing. I was a little hesitant about returning to this facility after a not so good experience there years ago, but my primary care insisted that it had changed. I'm glad I took her advice, it is an all new staff there & they're awesome. I have twice gone through physical therapy regimens with Mid-County, and it is no accident that I was, and would again be, a repeat customer. First and foremost in importance is of course the level of care provided. It is tops. Their personnel are well-trained, motivated, and personable. They are on their game all the time, and take pride in their work. From the moment that you come under Mid-County's care, you will be expertly evaluated. When I first went there, I had an injury that would require surgery. They did all that they could, and in time made that recommendation. I obtained an orthopedic opinion which corroborated the Mid-County one, and eventually had the surgery. My post-operational evaluation and subsequent care were a professional thing of beauty. As an added boon, the receptionists are exceptional, and the office manager runs the ship with an even keel and sunny disposition. Billing was entirely smooth. I have just completed a course of physical therapy for a knee replacement. Did the other knee last year and went to Mid - County at that time as well. I really love the place, this time we had the added challenge of COVID-19, the techs were scrupulous in their cleaning efforts, so you always felt there was no concern, everything was sanitized as soon as it was free. Let's face it, none of us like to do the exercises, but with these great techs, especially Aaron and Tanner, you always had a smile on your face, even if you couldn't see it because of our masks. Then the two physical therapists, Holly and Jenn were the best. They both made the experience something that I actually looked forward to. Today I graduated and have to admit it was with mixed emotions...I will miss seeing all the staff, the girls at the desk with temperature duty always were cheerful and courteous. No star review is the review: Mid County Physical Therapy (MCPT) is not a professional organization especially their administrative department. Their receptionist, Jackie, is both cold and disingenuous. Their billing department cannot accurately invoice for services provided in as much MCPT will send the patient the invoice to pay - out of pocket - and have the patient resolve the billing with their insurance provider. The owner, Charles, appears to be both professional and caring yet the same is not for those who represent his best interest. All-in-all, MCPT receives zero stars for their services provided and their overall lack of personal care (perhaps a suggestion: required reading Dale Carnegie, How to Win friends and Influence People). There are other providers who 'care' about their current and future patients. read more

The best PT practice I have been to or heard about from others. I went for pain in my hip and leg almost a year ago. Fantastic evaluation and treatment. After a few weeks, my pain went away and I've used the homework exercises a few times when my "blind male ego" made me try to do more than my 70 year body could handle. My wife has also gone and was thrilled will her treatment. Our goal was to avoid meds and surgery. Mid-County Physical Therapy is a great facility with caring professionals. I have been going for an injured shoulder and have noticed great improvement with each visit. They are so pleasant and caring about helping me heal. They guide me through the exercises each time and print out diagrams for me to take home. The physical therapists also use hands on manipulation techniques that I can't do myself at home or get elsewhere. They rotate therapists which is nice so you can receive slightly different techniques each time. All of the PTs are wonderful. Then I conclude my sessions with a great ice wrap treatment. I'm thankful to have found a PT office that has such nice, caring, and competent professionals. The office itself is light and uplifting with all of its windows that overlook Prince William Parkway and Hoadly Road. Plus they have tvs on for entertainment.
