Watching how everyone works together and fills in the gaps for their teammates, you are guaranteed to be in good company and great care. My PT is Kellie and she is a real gem. She is the definition of the best!!! She took her time to explain what we were doing, why we are doing it and the desired outcomes of each. She is patient and kind and makes every effort to make sure you are good, before, during and after you PT. The exercises she has me doing at home are realistic and do not require anything fancy. The facility stays busy and is always clean. Each table is sanitized as soon as the patient is finished, which is a plus! If you are unable to come during normal business hours, they also have a location in the lower level of the building that stays open a little later that then location upstairs. VPT does accept insurance as well so it is worth the task to see if they take your insurance, The front desk staff is great as well. They quickly, yet efficiently get you checked in and lined up for your therapy session. The village is in full force here at VPT!

When I contacted them, they had not even run the bill through my insurance company they verified on the phone that they had on file, some of the appointments that they were trying to bill me for I did not even make. They are just trying to take your money. They have (had) good therapists, but the billing department is dishonest and will wait years to bill you for stuff you can barely remember. Be careful with them, do not trust them, and track everything you do with them so you don't end up with crappy collection letters and call years after the fact.

Doing a month of exercises to strengthen my core and to strengthen some of the muscles that had atrophied because of limping made my rehabilitation from total hip replacement a breeze! I can't possibly say enough good things about Jackson clinics in Lorton! I started there because of a groin tear which revealed a more serious hip problem which my doctor did not catch, but Andrew did. I ended up needing a total hip replacement and so all in all, I was part of the Jackson clinic "family" for about a year and a half. Everyone there has been kind, helpful, attentive and professional above and beyond anything I could've ever hoped for. When I wanted them to really push me so that I could heal faster they did exactly as I requested. But they balanced it all with good sense and would hold me back when I might have done more damage by pushing myself beyond the proper limits. They have been absolutely perfect!

(I'm sorry....all I wanted to do was lay down, take meds and go to sleep. Do they want a video consultation of that? Then she said I have enough money on my account because I overpaid from the change of insurance. (something I have no idea what she is talking about) I have been going to Lorton Jackson Clinics for 9 months straight and have only missed 1 time after calling. (I was out of town and couldn't make it back) You would also think a person representing a Physical Therapy Health Complex would have some sort of COMPASSION when talking to patients. I was sick! And I did not want to get everyone else sick by showing up. I do not feel like she believed me nor do I have trust in the front office after this. She cared nothing about the patient.

The initial therapists were very helpful in my progression, however, following a racial incident…read morethat caused me to be late and cost me $40, it seemed like they stopped giving a crap about professional professionalism after that. The front desk staff were very short and dismissive. To top it off, I bring in my service animal, not only a certified service animal through his previous handler but also I have my own service paperwork from my own doctors I got in April so he's 100000% a service animal. Always has been always will be. I bring him in once he does OK. the second time, I make a PUBLIC observation about how I see his behavior helping my physical therapy recovery, and--I acknowledge with both myself and out loud to the therapist--that I am not interested in having him be there while I'm there because I saw it as a distraction to myself. Additionally, before the session even started, the therapist had previously asked if he was a service animal and I had said he's absolutely a service animal. Following that observation, as I left that appointment, I also said in agreement one more time--"this is the last time that you guys will be seeing him. I think that this is my time for myself." So then a day or two later, my tooth is gone. I'm at the dentist office in the middle of an emergency dental surgery and this inane manager calls me and once again reiterates-- not only what you had already instructed the therapist to tell me at the beginning of the session that happened the days before, but also to reiterate, that he's not a service animal and that he should not be at the facility. & at this point it's flown past like a potential misunderstanding and it's just professionalism. You're an unprofessional institution. You are very aware of the communication that you have with your clients and you also are aware of what age you and I both are. I'm not a child and you are not my parent. if we have already agreed to something it is just that. So for you to call me in the middle of an emergency, and reiterate a point as though I'm a petulant child...you're unprofessional and just not a safe space for people to recover safely. I think that people who are in the business of physical recovery should be interested in promoting a safe space of uplifting energy, and frankly vulnerability and hope, and you're not safe. You don't feel safe. You don't feel like a place of anything other than judgment and like dismissiveness. To top it off as I'm ending my relationship with this location and trying to transfer to another location, the manager starts asking me questions regarding information that I've only ever told my therapist! It's insanely invasive and it's insanely disrespectful because you've now thrown back the information that I've said in safety to the person that's helping me in recover as a way to start a conversation aka trying to backtrack and mend the relationship. Ha! we're past that now. I have no interest in recommending this facility to anybody. I honestly think that you should do your due diligence and research before coming to this institution, particularly this location. I think that this should be a lesson to their facility as a whole in professionalism. Professionalism is not a choice. It is the business that you are in and you are in a very specific spot where vulnerability is non negotiable. You have power over people that are in their lowest moments and depending on you for safety, so you should probably think about that the next time this location is advertises that it is professional and supportive, because you're not.

Then, I was told that I would be charged $40 if I didn't cancel the day before. I recently lost my job and had to change insurance. I had to call and cancel my appointment a couple of weeks ago because I was in between insurance. I called the day before and I was told that the appointment would be cancelled without an issue. Then I got hit with a $40 fee. I called to ask why I was charged when I cancelled the day before. I was told that I had called just a few minutes less than 24 hours, so I was charged. When I told them that I was not told that was the case when I called to cancel and the person pretended like it was fine, I was told that there's nothing they can do about it. So, I cancelled all my appointments with them and stopped going. I'm going to go with a much better PT place in town and there are a lot of them. As customers, we have choices. I do not recommend this place at all.

My first time visiting this practice was three years ago and I was VERY impressed. The receptionist…read morethat checked me in was very friendly and happily answered my questions. I met with Dr. Brian Lee and I was extremely pleased that he took the time to listen to me and understand my chronic pain. I loved that he didn't just jump to having needles being stuck into my spine but rather focused on less invasive methods before doing that. He took the time to explain any possible future procedures and gave me literature to read up on so that I would be fully informed. Overall, I am SO happy that I found this practice to help relieve my chronic pain.
