So I never have had to use a moving company before. I was in middle of major life changes ( losing my husband) and a friend (Ex co-worker ) of theirs was trying to help me out . Move from Margate to Pittsburgh. The set up was completely fine on his end and even prior to actually arriving for my belongings for the move. They reached out , confirmed everything, were on time, gave me estimated time of arrival in PA. However after they arrived their to unload their was two gentleman started by saying would be additional fee's for feet they had to cross street, which I was informed prior they wouldn't charge. They were well aware of my situation being a brand new widow & me fighting cancer while all this was going on.
So while unloading I could hear them banging my stuff in hallway on the way into my apartment. They broke my entertainment center - which was fairly new . The guy did repair the legs to it but I was super upset. Then while unloading my desk, it completely broke into apart ( not fixable) . They then break my ceiling fan blade off my hitting it with the front door entering. . It's my first day there. Now having major anxiety, they finish unloading. The guy said I could file a claim in regards to damages. I still Tip them and they leave.
Over the next few weeks while I'm setting up and unpacking, I notice multiple other issues/damages.
1: My microwave cart I notice has tape on the wheel , so I go to pull it off and the wheel is broke apart. Then looking more I notice knobs missing off as well as the cutting board that insert's in is gone. ( must have fell and broke) .
They say nothing, which obviously well aware cause they tapped it together.
2: Book shelf - cracked /chipped on side-bottom and back panels.
3: Vacuum - Clip and attachments - Broke off & missing.
So now on top of the entertainment center and desk that I was aware of I find all this. I reach out vis email , get claim form submit along with photos of everything, descriptions, etc. I get a email back apologizing the experience and that it can take up to 120 days to process. This is end of ( Jan. 2022)
Here it is over 120 days later, I have sent emails- Got one reply from initial email that would look into it and get back to me by end of the week. This was almost a month ago. I since have sent 3 more emails to find out what's going on and No reply. I also have tried calling , you get a recording with prompts- nothing for claims . So hit customer service and rings then disconnects.
This is by far the Worst experience ever. All I asked was for was to show compassion with my belongings. That I was having a hard time, struggling while having to change my life . Paid Thousands of Dollars , Not much to ask then just get my stuff there safely.
Do Not Use their service, untrustworthy ,waste of time and $$$$$.
Will be seeking legal action in regards. read more
