Their hope is that people will be tired from the process and just pay it. Little do they know this dishonest scam will likely put them out of business.

CROSSROADS SCAMS CUSTOMERS BY FORCING CUSTOMERS TO PAY $800 FOR AN AFTERMARKET ACCESSORY THAT IS…read moreTECHNICALLY ILLEGAL. They install an accessory that makes the rear window brake light flash when you are braking. You can buy parts for $50 or less that will make your rear window brake light do this. The install can easily be done in less than an hour. Other dealers pull this scam on customers and make a few hundred easy bucks by charging an average of $300 - $500. Crossroads charges $795!!! Ridiculous! On top of that, accessories that make the rear window brake light flash ARE ILLEGAL! Crossroads will try to argue that this is not true, but you can easily read about it online. Just use AI and ask about the legality of this. I've included some info from Google AI to give you a glimpse into the fact that this accessory is a rip-off and it's not even legal. My Question posed to Google AI: Some car dealers add an accessory that makes the rear window brake light flash and then charge the buyer hundreds of dollars for it. Is that a good deal for the customer? Google AI Answer: No, it is generally considered a poor deal for the customer. While the feature is marketed as a "safety essential," the price charged by dealerships rarely aligns with the actual value of the product or the effort required to install it. Financial Value: You are paying a 2,000%+ markup. The hardware is a simple pulse module worth about $15, yet dealers charge $300 to $500. Installation Effort: It is a 10-minute job that involves clipping a single wire. Most shops would charge a fraction of the dealer's price for the same labor. Insurance Myths: Dealers sometimes claim it will lower your insurance premiums. In reality, most insurance companies do not offer a specific discount for pulsing third brake lights. Resale Value: This accessory adds zero value to your car's trade-in or resale price in the future. If a dealer insists on charging for it, it is often a "shell game" used to increase their profit margin on the vehicle. My Question posed to Google AI: Is it illegal to have an accessory on your car that makes the rear window brake light flash when you are braking? Google AI Answer: In the United States and Canada, adding an accessory that makes your rear window brake light (CHMSL) flash is technically illegal under federal regulations. Key Findings: Steady-Burning Requirement: Under FMVSS No. 108, all stop lamps, including the CHMSL, must be steady-burning when in use. Prohibition on Flashing: NHTSA has consistently maintained that pulsating or flashing brake lights do not comply with FMVSS 108, citing potential confusion and distraction for other drivers. Manufacturer/Dealer Prohibition: Manufacturers, distributors, and dealers are forbidden from installing devices that cause the third brake light to flash. Exceptions: The only exception to the steady-burning rule is for turn signals or emergency flashers. Liability: In the event of a rear-end collision, an opposing attorney could argue that your non-standard, illegal lighting confused the other driver, potentially shifting civil liability to you.

He is awesome. Friendly and pressure free. I know a few of the other sales team as well. Just great fellas. The financing is usually very accommodating, straight forward and easy to understand. The service department is wonderful. Jim and Dottie know their stuff! Yes sometimes you have to book an appointment but it's worth the wait. I had let my oil change run critically past due by not understanding the new display on my vehicle. Jim got me right in, unscheduled. My wait was very reasonable considering they were lined up out the door when I arrived. He even had them complete some recall work on my audio that I had forgotten about. It's a very clean dealer ship. The waiting room has great leather chairs, tv, and free doughnuts, candy, juice, coffee and wifi. There is even a children's area. This dealership has earned my loyalty and respect. Thank you Castrucci Chevrolet Sales & Service in Milford for being utterly phenomenal.

In 2020 (Covid) we bought a 93000$ Explorer 4x4 conversion van from Mike Castrucci Chevrolet/Conversionvanland. When we were doing the sale online the salesman insisted for us to purchase the seven year Allstate extended warranty, with the explanation that it was a conversion and some of the factory warranty would not cover. Turns out we are now facing a drive train repair which was converted because of the 4x4 and Allstate is refusing the claim. Allstate told us the contract should have never been sold to us. Since this dealer claims to be the largest conversion van dealer in the country, they should have known that this was fraudulent and incorrect to begin with, yet they acted as the agent sold this expensive contract to us anyway. We are now stuck with this expensive repair and no recourse to recover any money on top of the thousands we had already spent on this fraudulent contract. We have now filed a formal complaint with the board of insurance, and the state. We are also hiring legal representation to seal action against Allstate and the dealer. We will update as progress unfolds
