She sent me the information on the job descriptions and I did a marathon preparation. The next day I went for interview #1 at 10am and I knew immediately I wanted to work there. I connected so well with the hiring manager that I felt like I had always known him. Even before 2nd interview, Megan called me to tell me that #1 is very interested to proceed to 2nd interview. In the meantime I had been interviewing with another employer and and right after these interviews I got a job offer. I however wanted to go to 2nd interview with job #1 so I told Megan about the offer. I went to 2nd interview the following Tuesday and again I connected amazingly well with the two people I met with. As I expected, I got a 2nd job offer from them on the same day and now I had a major decision to make. Megan helped me get my dream job. She negotiated the salary and although I felt slightly pressured to make a decision, I'm eternally grateful she steered me in the right direction. Basically Megan helped me get my dream job in less than a week. I had met with a couple other staffing companies but they didn't really have anything to offer me.

I have exposure to this search firm and worked with them successfully only time in a decade. Though…read morethe people there are very nice, they absolutely are not responsive and have a tendency to only call when they have you in mind specifically for a job that is especially difficult to fill and open for awhile. Instead of allowing candidates to consider multiple opportunities and discuss with the recruiter what would be a good fit for them and their goals, they have a tendency to act as though they are "using you" similar to a bad relationship. My last exposure to this company was with Teresa and it was positive at first, and the company I interviewed with actually wanted to hire me, but I knew it wasn't a fit. So then when I kept looking and reaching out, and Teresa ignored my emails because clearly I didn't take the job she needed to fill. That was unprofessional. P.S. I really dislike seeing companies try to give themselves a series of 5-star reviews, which the Yelp algorithm picks up as fake (because they are), and sieves them out to the "Not recommended reviews" tab at the bottom of the Yelp page.

My previous resume was acceptable, or so I thought. It was a basic format that wasn't all that eye-catching. Likewise for my cover letter. I was job searching and not getting any bites. I was a bit frantic when I called Job Search Divas, but she was quick to provide very comforting words. After consulting with Elizabeth during an initial introduction call, I knew I met the right person to help ignite my job search. I knew she'd take my resume and cover letter to the next level. She worked with me to really highlight my skills and the great work I have done in the past. She was very patient and incorporated everything I requested in my cover letter and resume. Elizabeth also gave me great advice about LinkedIn and how it would be helpful in my job search. If you are considering a resume and cover letter service, I highly recommend Job Search Divas. I really enjoyed my experience and think Elizabeth is fabulous.

I've just finished up week 4 at my new job…read more Life circumstances had brought me to taking a professional leave for 3 years. Coming out of that leave, ready to get back to the working world, I was looking at a resume that really hadn't been updated for... a while. My resume needed an overhaul, as did my confidence. I didn't realize that I would get both from a Yelp search. I 'interviewed' a couple of career/job search professionals. Elizabeth just seemed like a smart, insightful, professional, but very approachable, good human. In a fairly painless process, she gleaned the facts as well as the nuances of what I bring to the table professionally (as well as the dishes that I had brought to previous 'pot lucks'.) And she made them sound really good - enough so that it took a while for me to embrace that the end result wasn't full of half-true embellishments, but a more confident way to represent my real skills and temperament.. I would hire me! As I hadn't had to 'really' interview for a new job in (ahem) decades, I had so many concerns and questions. In addition to overhauling my resume and making my LinkedIn profile look like I'm an adult, Elizabeth took the time to answer all of the concerns that I shared with her, even throughout my interviewing process. She was a touchstone of my navigation of the whole 'adventure', a cheerleader, a support, a reality check. I made a really good decision in hiring her.

But I went to where ever PSR sent me. I worked in small offices, medium sized offices and huge operations. The same offices which would never consider me to work one day after looking at my resume, were asking me to stay on for 3 months, six months, eleven months, from 2-3 day appointments. PSR also has great clients. I was treated extremely well, and when I had anything resembling a problem , I always checked with "the PSR office". From 2006-2012, I've had so many going away parties because I got along with my PSR clients. My big heart breaker was when my term was up for a child Care Center. The staff gave me a going away party. The teacher's and the 3-5 year olds gave me a send-off, with hand drawn pictures, a fist full of sparkles, and other handmade lump-in-the-throat sentiments. I eventually settled in a job which asked me to stay as a permanent employee. PSR wasn't sweating me or the client about money or contracts, instead, they were very supportive which made it extremely hard to leave them, but the had my best interest in mind and I couldn't say that happens with many jobs. I truly miss working for PSR. I am constantly referring any students I think are trustworthy ( i WOULDN'T SEND ANYBODY TO WASTE THEIR TIME). I've been a permanent employee at a prestigious College for 4 years.

Certainly has made a difference for me.
