She was really friendly and talked to us about the different beers they brew and the styles and flavors to expect. It is cool how each beer and label pays tribute to the land and history around them. I had the Barracks Black and I can't recall the beer my wife got but I think it was an amber ale of sorts. Both were good. I really enjoyed the black and we ended up buying some to take home with us. It was really nice that the staff let us hang out for a bit and enjoy the beer even though it was after closing.

I ordered the mushroom version with vegetarian gravy on the side due to many food allergies, and the flavor was so rich and complex that it was not at all missed when I decided I needed to go without. I ate every bite. Mom petit amie ordered the regular, straight up not vegetarian- and also claimed it to be the best he ever had - and is still thinking about it 24 hours later. He also ordered the Saison Farmhouse ale and though I'm not much of a beer drinker I went back for seconds. The quality and fresh ingredients came through and I loved the tiny fizzy bubbles compared to your average beer. The olive plate was a lot more than I had expected with a nice variety of olives. The nachos were layered really well, almost every chip had cheese or something on it. Beyond that, the space had a very old-fashioned look. Really nice wooden fixtures and a very warm, welcoming vibe.
