I wanted to love it, after a stressful quarter at work and a day off to relax, I thought this would be just the thing. It started out well. Low lights, quiet music, then a cell phone went off, not silent. It was the woman's phone who was doing my treatment. Ok, I'm thinking, maybe an emergency, you never know, let's give the benefit of the doubt. She answers the phone and walks out of the room. She comes back we get back to the treatment, another phone call, then a third. She takes the calls each time and walks out of the room. A man comes into an adjacent space next to ours and his phone is dinging as well. Now, that is not the salon's problem, but after the fifth interruption to what is supposed to be calm and relaxing, it's anything but calm and relaxing. The package is supposed to come with a shoulder and arm massage. I didn't get that. All in all, not what I expected or paid for.

Suddenly in January my hair started coming out in handfuls day and night. This continued for 6 weeks. I have maybe 1/4 of my hair left. What's left looks damaged and so brittle and you can see right through it. My scalp is good so I've been able to mask my hairloss by putting it up in a very very small clip. I went to see Kristina on Friday just based on her microscope findings there were 2 things going on that were causing my hairloss and 1 of those things was because my internal system was out of balance. Today I went back for follicle testing and learned so much about my body and why I feel like crap. She shared with me all the other things going on inside my body that finally showed up on the outside of me through my hairloss. I have a plan specifically for me now to a journey of treating my whole body AND my hairloss! I highly recommend Kristina and the Well Rooted Hair and Scalp clinic. I saw my Dr and then he referred me to my dermatologist and she just wanted me to start a topical medication. Both my Dr and Dermatologist didn't even do any kind of testing to figure out what the cause was. If you want answers and not just a bandaid see Kristina!!!

When she finally called, they admitted it had never been ordered, offering multiple conflicting excuses. They rushed to get a topper in within days--but it was not what she ordered. Still, they insisted it was correct and pressured her to take it, claiming there wasn't time to get another. That makes no sense, considering how fast the one they claimed to have ordered for her had arrived. It felt like they were just trying to push old inventory on her to get rid of her. The topper was clearly wrong. I called about returning it and was told they would accept it back with a $200 fee, which was upsetting considering the circumstances, but my mom is ill and didn't want to fight them. When I showed up in person to do the return, the owner suddenly changed her story--no return allowed, only an exchange, still with a whopping $200 penalty. This was manipulative and completely unethical. Preying on vulnerable seniors is disgusting. Avoid this place at all costs. *In response to owner: I should not have had to accompany my mother to protect her from being pressured into taking something home that didn't work. She was given two bad options and tried to pick from that because she was told they couldn't get anything else and they refused to do any kind of return (even though it was unused and unworn and had just come in). Helena is welcome to contact me if she would like to resolve this, I have tried multiple times at this point to solve this amicably.

When i said that i requested dreads and not twists she became angry and told me that she had blocked 6 hours of clients for my appt and that twists were exactly the same as dreadlocs. I disagreed and we rescheduled. At second appt she showed me actual dreadloc ext and i was thrilled. About 30 min in i asked for a mirror. When i looked at my right side which she said was "done" there were only 5 dreads. Each ext was coming out of a hexagon with 3" sides ! It looked ridiculous ! I found out that she had only ordered 40 ext even though she told me at consult that the $650 price was due to the fact that my hair was so thick it would require 100. She only ordered 40. I asked her to take them out. She never offered to do it again after ordering more dreads. She never offered to combine the dreads with something else. As i was leaving she said she would issue a refund the next day. The following day i received a zelle payment of $150 ! Both appt fails we through no fault of my own ! Both appt fails were the direct result of her actions. She kept $500 of my payment without even discussing it with ne and now refuses to answer my calls or text messages. Very unprofessional. Borderline criminal actions that cost a single mother of a special needs child $500. I strongly do not recommend.
