I love coming here but I do hate how when I say I'm going wait for pinky the daughter and lady in the last chair always look at me weird or annoyed and start talking in their language. What they dont know is I was a loyal customer to my last eyebrow lady (7 years)and she butchered my eyebrows then after I went too 3 different ladies and the last lady made my brows so thin which traumatized me until my cousin said to try pinky which I've been going to the past almost 2 years every 2 weeks faithfully. I have also sent 5 different new loyals to them. I feel like everyone has a favorite eyebrow go to so they shouldn't act annoyed because it happens and I'm sure I'm not the only one with a "traumatizing" experience who prefer one better then the other only from past experiences. Yes I've went to the daughter but overall I just feel comfortable with the mom which is no disrespect to them cause as I put I have sent FIVE new people to them one being my sister. Update. Do not leave an honest review and then come bk here because they will retaliate. As I came the daughter right away started talking in their language and mentioned "review" like 5 times all while they were staring at me and giving me dirty looks which NEVER has happened prior to my review. During my service the mom who I did like going to got my nose then ended up messing my eyebrows up and left them so uneven ! I went to Simer's Threading & Henna Tattos for the first time the other day and I LOVED IT! Where have they been all my life!? I have desperately been seeking a salon that is safely doing eyebrow threading during the pandemic and BOY am I luckily I finally found Simer's place! I had never noticed this threading shop until they posted the signs in the Walmart parking lot and I saw the Chinese folding screen for privacy outside. So, I thought I would give them a chance since almost all the salons are closed right now and I have no idea when I would be able to get my eyebrows threaded next. I am extremely satisfied with how my eyebrows turned out BUT I was more excited to see the amount of safety measures they were taking because of COVID-19. They had an eyebrow station set up outside in the shade under the breezeway with gatorade and everything for the customers! They were also allowing one customer inside at a time as well and both participants had to wear a face mask. When I got my eyebrows threaded with Simer, it wasn't NEARLY as painful as the other places (Shapes Bar in the Visalia Mall) and she talked me through her process on achieving my desired shape. I.e. If I wasn't able to get the shape today she explained I could over time achieve my goal eyebrow shape within a couple visits! DO NOT GET SERVICE HERE AT SIMER'S THREADING'S‼‼ I came to this establishment hearing MANY great reviews but EVERY experience I have received with this business was DISAPPOINTING!! I always wanted to make it work because one eyebrow was very thick and way bolder than the other which gave me hope because my left eyebrow always came out pretty decent I thought it was normal because my arch was more defined on my left eyebrow and looked okay but they always tended to thin my right eyebrow MAJORLY over the left !! I received the worst results EVER from todays afternoon, I voiced my concerns about one of my eyebrows previously being way thicker to the owner with a photograph of my eyebrows of the last visit before she started threading hoping for an improvement, she THINNED my left fuller eyebrow TREMENDOUSLY and I brought it to her attention and she told me that my eyebrows were just very light and that makeup would fix it and showed me where I needed to fill in my eyebrows in with makeup! she totally took a huge chunck off the bottom I am most certainly never returning to this place again, I am soooo unhappy and upset with my results today I have my first day of school in TWO days and have one of my eyebrows looking terribly different than the other, also looks WORSE in person rather than a photo but you can see that she thinned them quite ALOT. I walked in on Saturday night and there was only one employee and she was talking on the phone. She pointed at the chair so I could sit down. I expected her to get off of the phone so she could thread my brows but she kept talking the entire time I was there. It seemed like she was more focused on her phone call than my eyebrows because my eyebrows are missing pieces here and there. First and last time she will do my brows. This is a nice little threading salon located in the same parking lot as the Walmart Supercenter on South Mooney. It is neat as a pin and simply decorated with cream colored walls, white tile floors with small black accent tiles sprinkled throughout. There are several deep red comfortable couches in which to wait and two padded chairs that look like hair salon chairs where the magic happens. If you're not familiar with threading, it is a form of facial hair removal that originated in ancient times in the Eastern world. White cotton thread is twisted and used to pull hair out right from the follicle. For those of us with luscious raven locks (thick dark hair) regular facial hair maintenance is critical. For years my only option was waxing which hurt, was messy (I sometimes found bits of leftover wax on my face), and left my skin bright pink and puffy for at least an hour. Since I discovered waxing a little over a year ago I've never gone back. Threading is gentler on my skin (no aftereffects of hot wax to deal with) and other than making my eyes water a little it doesn't hurt as much as waxing did. I can go in with makeup on and still look presentable when I leave. The lady who did my threading was very friendly and worked quickly to clean up my eyebrows. She charged less than I've ever seen at other threading salons, too. I was very happy with the end result. My eyebrows and upper lip were free and clear of hair and I was good to go. I am thoroughly impressed with Simer's threading skills. I was on the hunt for months for an eyebrow place that did wax or threading. I was so happy when I finally came across a place that I LOVED and could keep going back to again. Simer does an excellent job and from the first time I went she understood exactly what I wanted. I couldn't stop looking at my brows after my first visit lol. The cost is great only 10 bucks. You definitely can't beat that with the amount of care and expertise that goes into maintaining your brows. The fact that I drive 30 min all the way from Lemoore should speak volumes. She ended up taking off over half of my eyebrow and she knew she messed up. She had to go back and make the other one thinner after already doing it.
