Magnolia Medical & Aesthetics made me feel so comfortable, safe, and secure from the very first call! When I got in Natalie talked me through what we could do and we also discussed the random bump that decided to appear on my forehead a few years ago, which I decided when in Rome might as well fix it too! I wasn't prepared for the results! I have been so insecure about my nose. I do not even have a scar. It healed incredibly fast! I only missed filming a single podcast episode!!! Maybe 5 days of downtime (by downtime I mean time with a little bandaid on my face) and even then it was probably more like 3/4 days. My forehead looks great. If it's not so great... well, that was kind of a waste of money. I cannot tell you how many times I have wasted money on crummy spa services. :/ But let me reassure you, this place is a *win*!!! This was, hands down, the best facial I have had in years. Dawn Marie is incredibly good at what she does, and to top it off, she is very friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. She started by asking me if I had any problem skin areas (which surprisingly, they neglect to do at some of these other places... seriously, how can you give me a proper facial if you don't know going into it what kind of skin you're working on?!?) and then left me to get changed. One thing that I appreciated was that she had everything already prepared: the table was ready, there was a robe ready, and throughout the facial, she had everything she needed right nearby; so many other "estheticians" (if you can call them that!) have wasted time fumbling around behind me mid-facial trying to get their you-know-what together haha. On that note, Dawn Marie has been fully licensed in Texas for over 18 years; tons of knowledge and experience under her belt! The facial can only be described as blissful. Over the 50 minutes, she did some extractions, and worked a number of different fragrant exfoliants and cleansers into my skin, which ended with a pomegranate mask, another quick clean, and an eye cream/moisturizer with SPF so I was set for the day. Che Bella is located inside the Mediterranean Day Spa, which is directly off Nakoma. The location a tiny building located amongst all of these warehouses, so not exactly the setting you would expect for a day spa. I had to walk through it (that is not really saying much: the day spa is tiny, basically a room up front for nails/pedicures, a hallway, and another room off to the side) to get to the back room, which is where Che Bella is... I thought that Che Bella was nicely decorated, with curtains over all of the windows to filter the light, a nice sturdy table, with quality sheets/blanket (nothing worse that spa treatments on cheap, itchy sheets!), nice music playing and expensive looking equipment like the towel warmers and a bunch of other contraptions that I didn't get to examine haha. Between the noise from outside and from people in the spa getting their nails done, there was some noise....I didn't even really notice it until towards the end of my facial when I was laying there with the mask on. While she was actively working on my skin, I was so relaxed that I was actually able to tune it out. I debated on whether to give 5 stars just because of the location/noise, but I didn't think taking a full star away was fair since the service was so great... should really be at a 4.5 though. Che Bella offers a lot more services than I realized, so I am excited to go back and get some more pampering from Dawn Marie soon. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants quality procedures/services performed by a competent and very nice technician.
