EDIT 2: The creep found me on Facebook and started commenting on my photos, now saying he wants to charge me more for things he did for me as "favors" ... which makes no sense Do not bring your computer here for a diagnostic. It took MONTHS to get my computer back, and it didn't work. Larry told me the tech quit, but my ticket wasn't reassigned, so my PC sat untouched for most of that time. They replaced the power supply, but the graphics card was dead too. I brought it back in, they said they could send it to "a buddy's company that repairs graphics cards." I should have said no. They had the graphics card for 4 months and did not fix it, did not send it out. No updates. I finally picked it back up today, broken. Meanwhile I had to purchase another graphics card because who can be without their computer that long? I have made maybe 50 calls over 6 months, no exaggeration. They always promise to look into it and call me back later that day, but they never, ever call or text back. So I had to keep calling. I really wanted to support a local business, but this became a super frustrating time sink.

They were very calming and reassuring on the phone. Realizing that I was about to lose my life's work, which was saved on my hard drive (don't ask me about backing up) they told me that they felt sure they could help me. Two technicians came out to my house, but to no avail. My computer was infected with a deadly virus. With a lump in my throat I watched my computer carried out the door on the shoulder of aforementioned technician. They promised to let me know something as soon as they had the problem pegged. Not two hours passes before they called me with a diagnosis. The good news is that these people know what they are doing. Not only did they make my computer well, for a reasonable fee they installed the latest software and an excellent firewall. No more viruses for me. If you do a lot of work on your computer, or just enjoy emailing and playing around on The Net, then you know the horrors that can come with computers. For those of us not so tech savvy, Computer Renaissance is a breath of fresh air. They reinstalled my computer, and I was up and running, all in two days. They even called me and checked to make sure everything was as it should be the next day. For my sake, I hope I don't need their services again.
