Good course staff great nice range for practice , putting green in good shape. They keep the fairways cut, a lot of wildlife.

Love the course, I live near by so my husband and I come often. staff is friendly. And drinks and food menu are are great and affordable

What a drag...this used to be such fun little course to come and play or practice or get a sandwich. Not anymore. It's gone sooo downhill. They got this ancient ball machine(smh) that makes you go inside & pay for the most expensive practice balls in valley. Then you get hit off dirt & sand, or the trac man that NEVER works right. This review is for the driving range only. I've recently gotten back into golf after like 10 years and have been to this driving range a few times in the past few months. Its a bit disappointing. I've swung by (no pun intended) after work and am disappointed that the pro shop doesn't stay open later. I usually have what I need but I went with someone who needed to rent clubs so we had to cut our date short because he had to return the clubs. The part of the driving range with the tracking machines is nicer but still could use a little TLC. The other part of the range could really use some TLC. They move the line up and back where you t off and but it seems they wait too long to do it because it was really tore up. I've been to a handful of driving ranges in Sacramento and they are all much nicer than this place. I guess I got spoiled. But it gets the job done I guess. read more

So I've rarely paid more than $50 for a round of golf (w/cart). You can usually play 18 for under that. But I have noticed that rates are up at all courses so don't hold me to this. Overall, this course is very playable and worth what you pay. In comparison to high dollar courses, yes, there's much that could be prepped better or upgraded. But don't take to mean it's in bad shape...because it is not. It is a little confusing when transitioning from hole to hole in places. This is where the score card map becomes helpful. But overall. I don't feel this is a bad course. read more

This is my go-to public course! Everything is well kept. I've played private courses that weren't as nice. I accidentally left my Bluetooth cart speaker on the cart and came back an hour later (not hopeful but had to try). It could have easily been stolen but it was turned in by staff and I have it back! This place has Country Club vibes without the cost and pretentiousness!! One of the grounds keepers saw us hunting a lost ball (by my rookie buddy/I would never lose a ball... never ever) in some rough, found it, and delivered to him 2 holes later!! read more

Traveling through Lodi we decided to spend the day and golf. Micke Grove is right off the 99 fwy. Easy access. Really pretty 18 hole course. We played 9 holes and had so much fun. Beautiful course with nice ponds and geese flying over. Surrounded by grape vineyards and fruit trees. Very friendly and helpful staff. We even got lucky and hit a 50% off sale in the store and bought a couple of shirts. Great golf, beautiful environment, nice carts. Made our travel stop awesome. read more

What a joke! Started 8:30, 15 minutes late and it just got worse. Had to wait 5-10 minutes every hole. 6 hr round! Saw multiple 5 and 6 man groups and double groups on multiple holes. Beautiful golf course. New golfer here and we always try a new course. So far, this is my favorite. Loved the full bar, the smell, and taste from the brick oven pizza. The only complaint is the selection of womens golf attire in their shop. Just a couple shirts, and a large variety for men. read more

$18 for a bucket of balls is a rip off just to practice. Just practice else where. They used to be way cheaper.

$20 per person to get a cart. Don't book online if you have a junior player, they're significantly cheaper and they will not fix your price point after you've paid. Terrible pace of play, stood at each tee for a good 15-20 minutes each - no Marshall anywhere.... Rude in the golf shop. All this for a mini that charges almost $70 a round? Used to love playing here but since they brought in new management (believe his name is Eric) this course has gone down hill... The course is still in great shape but expect a 5 hour and 52 minute round of golf teeing off at 815 on a Sunday morning.. There were groups of 6, 7, 8 and 12 all throughout the course in front of us. It's pretty clear that the new management only cares about one thing and that's making a profit which means stacking tee times on one another. It's sad to see because this is such a fun course to play. The new management is also talking about getting rid of the cart girl too... supposedly there's no need for it.. but what the heck are we supposed to do with no cart girl on a 6 hour round?!? Really really disappointed with the new management here. Smh. read more

The course is better than in recent years! But, my experience is just not about golf but the total experience of the facility. The restroom on the back nine was one of the most disgusting I've ever seen. It looked like it belonged in a third world country, it was horrible. Seriously, filthy, unsanitary and shouldn't be used. Management and facilities people should be embarrassed. Never have I seen such a mess!!!! Shame on who ever is responsible, should be fired !!! read more

This place truly stinks. PLEASE DONT PLAY HERE. THEY DONT DESERVE YOUR MONEY! I've been twice since this review and BOTH times had separate, ridiculous experiences! 1. I went with a couple of friends and we were told while it was beyond far from sunset, I think it was like 6pm in the summer, we have to leave because of "they're paving the parking lot". Okay I guess, but you can't schedule this a little more according? I mean you have one product "golf experience" and you can't even focus on that? Maybe push the paving company to work later to priories your clientele? I mean it's one this you have to worry about, again, "golf experience". We were on the 13th hole and this lady comes driving up to tell us this. She was nice I guess. But if you're paving a parking lot (multiple hours of work) what's the difference between paving at 6pm (with lots of daylight left) and 8pm (dark/sunset) where you allow your golfers to actually get what they paid for (separate issue, it's the most expense public course in the area). My guess is you need someone on premise to close the gates and make sure everything is locked up, so they scheduled them early/wanted to leave early. This isn't my problem, I get on a human level you want to leave early and get home but again, you're providing an experience, maintain that. Or they just don't care about the golfer, which is the worst scenario. 2. I played a few weeks ago thinking "okay I always have a bad time at this place due to staff, can't happen again right?" Nope. Was we left the 18th tee, we're driving to our cars and the two cart attends, younger thinner gentlemen, one with dark hair, one with lighter brown hair, tell us to LEAVE OUR CART BY THE CART AREA! This is separate from the parking lot and we were parked out by the front of the property which is like a 2min walk if that, it's like a 200 stale parking lot, a normal supermarket type size of parking lot. And we were floored like what?! I've never been to a place, public or private where they tell you to leave your carts and take your bags to your car??? It wasn't even dark by the way, very light outside. So, one of my friends, I think reasonably so, makes a comment like no dude what? And they immediately get aggressive with the darker haired gentlemen CUSSING at us! He dropped and F-bomb and walked towards our cart and I was like "wow bro language, act a little professional" and he sort of calmed down. But THIS IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU COME HERE! Ridiculous ridiculous behavior. I implore anyone, please don't come here, they don't deserve the business. They're making great strides in providing nice facilities, the driving range is nice, the outside is nice, but they have a systemic problem and they've recently changed ownership I believe, and it just has a corporate/money hungry vibe that does not prioritize an experience. They want your to pay $60 on average regardless of time, will only give 1 cart for a double which I think is ridiculous, we want to play fast and two carts even if it's two people helps the round go faster but they only want to put as many people on the course as possible! THATS ANOTHER ISSUE IS IS SLOW AS ****!!! YOU WILL NOT FINISH A ROUND IN 4 HOURS! Which is wild and it's because they won't let (or buy more carts) to allow faster play. If it's just two people, it's one cart and I'm paying $60 for an okay conditioned public course. But as I said previously, they have a systemic problem which I think is coming from the top. I think they have a gross person at running the show and it trickles down to all staff members. It's the only way to rationalize how bad every single employee seems to act or feel entitled to act. DO NOT COME HERE! Go to elkhorn or Spanos or Bartley or haggin or dry creek or Manteca GC if you want public golf. read more

Love golf here! I go every Friday with my in-laws! I was going when they were in the transition of being bought out and WHAT A CHANGE! New management have change everything but in a excellent way! This course has come a long long way in the last few years. I am glad to see Sierra Golf is finally putting money into the course. I do have a few issues that should be addressed. Please please please put in mats on the driving range for people to use on the weekdays. The range gets way to much use day in an day out to keep it nice. It is basically a giant sand trap with one light grass on top. Second, stop sending school kids out that have no idea how to golf, how to keep pace, or have zero supervision. They are constantly jumping holes and taking 30+ minutes to play a hole. read more

This course is awesome the new ownership has truly put money into the course and made it an extremely fun course to play. Wow, course conditions are better than average for municipal course. Tee time are 8 minutes apart and it took 3.5 hours for 9 holes. They put anybody out there walking or riding and the marshall is useless. Smokes cigars and will not move players along. Restaurant is great. Pro shop has older hispanic guy with "no clue" about customer service. Range is cool, carts run fine but who has 7 hours for 18 holes? read more

We booked a tee time for Sunday (10/4) for 4 golfers (2 couples). Walked in to pay and caught us by surprise that we have to pay separately for our carts ($18 per person not per cart, and each couple rode in one cart) on top of green fees of $36 per golfer. These fees were not disclosed when we booked the tee time with a live person over the phone. We never had to pay separately for carts. We played golf here for years! Not to mention that we were charged 3% for using our debit cards for payment. COVID times and they prefer cash? They may not care because social distancing was not being observed. Masks inside the pro shop was not worn by everyone both workers and guests sitting on tables inside the shop not eating but just hanging around without masks. Have they forgotten that San Joaquin county had high incidence of COVID infections? Come to find out that the golf course is under new management- Sierra Golf Management and therefore new fees, charges. Might not be so bad if it was disclosed in some form such as email (which I am on their email list since I receive newsletters and a letter from the previous manager who retired) or over the phone when one books a tee time. Premier fees for a so not premier golf course. At least other golf courses are up front and transparent with their fees. Losing us as customers and friends who were customers. read more

I love this place! The golf, food and drinks are all amazing with such a friendly staff! The only unfortunate thing is that it looks like they cut their staff back on weekend nights when they stay open late the wait time for things are a little long, and tough on the customer and staff! First time I played here. Course was in great shape compared to the dozen or so courses I regularly play. The fairways were well cut, rough was reasonable, greens well manicured and relatively fast, bunker sand was groomed. $29 fee special included cart. Putting green and driving range were good although I only warmed up on the putting green. Bathrooms on course were clean. Variety of seating choices to enjoy beverages and food. Beer was cold! Course was a little tougher than I expected but overall I enjoyed playing this course. Would play it again. read more

Went to Micke Grove yesterday for a nice midweek 18. When I made my tee time the day before, I asked how the course was playing. Was told great and $30 for 18 with cart. I get there and see that the greens had, just within the last few days, been punched and sanded. I questioned the tee time guy about how this can be considered playing great and why don't they advise people about the greens. All I got was a blank look. Then I asked about the $30 for a golf course with unplayable greens. Lowered the price to $20. Well, they got my $20 yesterday, but they will never get anymore of my money. Very underhanded and a very bad business practice. Play at your own risk. read more

My husband made a tee time for Sunday, January 10th at 9:28. He called on Thursday January 7th to make the tee time. When we showed up for our tee time on Sunday they told us that they had no reservation for us and had a tournament going on so there was no way we could play. Now, I'm not a golfer. For golfers, this review should have virtually no credibility. You see I have recently spent about 30 bucks to purchase to complete used sets. This is something I'm just picking up. I spent 6 bucks for a bucket of 70 balls for the driving range. Do you know how long seventy balls lasts? 6. Bucks! Hardly anything for the time 70 golf balls afforded me and my fiance. I cant wait to go back. Hopefully next time I'll hit the ball :) read more
