After lunch we were craving something sweet and happened to walk upon this storefront, and if you know Kilwin's, you know you cannot keep walking once you get a whiff of the delicious, sweet maple smells coming from inside. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go the ice cream, fudge, or candy route, but ended up going the ice cream route once I tried the "Georgia Peach" which comes with "delicate fresh peach flavored ice cream with sweetened peaches." It was absolutely delectable!! I only got one scoop in a cup (which ended up being fairly big), and I didn't think I was going to finish it at first sight, but once I dipped my spoon in - I was hooked. I cleaned that bowl with ease! I definitely have to come back before this flavor disappears. If you're not an ice cream person, Kilwin's has a really nice variety of gourmet chocolates, fudge, pretzel sticks, marzipan, etc.

Parking can get pretty hectic if you're not there well before 7. Also, it can get a little pricey sampling several food trucks, but sharing is caring so take a friend or two. Apparently their strawberry flavor is nationally recognized, so I had to try that one. I'm not sure if they were charging normal prices at the festival, but I felt that it was a fair amount of ice cream for what I paid. At first, the strawberry tasted as it should - I wasn't amazed, but I did really appreciate the strawberry swirls. I finished the ice cream thinking that it was definitely a solid strawberry flavor! I then tried another ice cream vendor at the festival who was also selling strawberry, and that's when I could really taste the difference. Juke N Jive's strawberry was far better, as it carried a strawberry flavor through and through, while the other vendor's flavor was lacking. Will have to stop by their shop sometime!
