Two Item Combo with Shredded Beef Burrito & Ground Beef Burrito: I couldn't distinguish between the ground beef and shredded beef, but both burritos were delicious! The rice and refried beans were good too. Chori Pollo: The chicken was well seasoned and the chorizo on top was tasty. I enjoyed my lunch at Michoacan. Great service and good food. I started with the seafood dip, which consisted of grilled shrimp and queso. The shrimp had a great charbroiled flavor, so I assume they have a real grill in the kitchen. I also ordered the lunch poblano. There was a bit too much mole sauce, but it was tasty. We really enjoyed this place. It was a little more Tex-Mex than Mexican but either way, the food was really delicious. It's a very small hole-in-the-wall place but it was perfect for a quick low-key date night on a night when we were both too tired to cook. Our service was nice though she didn't speak English well. The strawberry margarita wasn't strong as far as alcohol but had a strong strawberry flavor. Like a strawberry slushie. I ordered the burrito del mar and it came as enchiladas. It was two small tortillas filled with just shrimp and covered in a cheese sauce that was just literally melted white cheese. Not great. Lettuce and tomatoes and avocado came on the side so I sort of had to assemble it myself to get something decent. The rice was dry and bland. My mom ordered a chimichanga and got taquitos. I normally get takeout. I recently tried for the first time the burrito Azteca and this is literally one of the best burritos I've ever ever had. I would strongly recommend getting the burrito Azteca. It is jampacked with rice, chorizo, and steak and served wet with queso and greensalsa. Very delicious. read more

We had two margaritas, supreme burrito, and chicken enchiladas. The service was quick, efficient, and servers were sweet. We were greeted by crispy tortilla chips and medium spicy salsa. The menu had some prices crossed out but not updated. The food was affordable with a margarita about 6$ and portion size huge. The small lime margarita was cutely decorated with an umbrella. It was tasty but a bit warm initially but if you gave it some time it cooled down. Maybe, they did not shake it. The food is filling but lacked chiles/spice but still good. Overall, this restaurant is a solid 4. I think if they updated their menus with the correct prices and put some Chile/jalapeños in their dishes, it would make a big difference. read more

I've been in a scavenger hunt of sorts for some new to me Mexican food places and this is a superstar! They have a nice vegetarian menu that is both filling and delicious. I have never been able to finish a burrito here-they are seriously twice the size as chipotle as about the same price. Lots of veggies, beans and rice, topped with sour cream, lettuce, sauce and cheese. The chips and salsa are very good and they give you regular, green and a sweet version to try. The guacamole was a little brown and I may have gotten the dip instead of the salad kind which I will do next time. Very classic, almost stereotypical, Tex-Mex food from a nice little establishment. For about a year I knew them only through delivery (because pandemic) and recently got the chance to dine in. The space is (somewhat uncomfortably) small, but we had no trouble finding a safely distanced table on a weekday. The staff is super attentive and kept our drinks and salsa/chips full. They've got a great selection of your standard Mexican-style foods. The value is pretty good among comparable places (I can eat a meal and have another leftover for around $15). Chips and salsa were plentiful, the entrees were all hot and delicious, and the service was top notch! I had the arroz con pollo and it was exactly as described. As a native Texan, I tend to have some strict standards for Mexican food. But, Michoacan stood up to the test and delivered. I had the Paiza tacos and they were fantastic. Full disclosure, we were driving home and the GPS placed us where I knew Rock n Roll sushi was so I immediately got excited. We called from the parking lot and the wait was far more than my hangry self could handle. It was raining and getting late so we just looked around and said why not. The restaurant itself is nothing to take note of but let's get to the food. The chips and salsa were on point and we ordered a seafood dip appetizer. There was a lot of big, yummy pieces of shrimp and it was delicious. For dinner I ordered the Mole Chicken and it was incredible. There is zero photographic evidence because I was so hungry I just chose eating over a photoshoot. I will definitely be back so I will take pics next time. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. Also something I should mention is I rarely have leftovers to take home because ya girl likes to eat. I tried their gorditas (tortilla pocket stuffed with meat and veggies and cheese) with the lengua and al pastor. The tortilla is a brighter yellow than other ones that I've had, and a little more crispy on the outside. I liked both, although the gorditas were on the small side. The person taking my order was really friendly, and gave me some extra salsa and chips even though my order was a take out! I would've given it a 3 or 3.5 stars for the food itself, but I think the service bumped it up for me. Maybe next time I'll try something else and see if I'll rate it higher. read more

I ordered online so I received several sauces and unsure of what went with which dish I would up putting a dark salsa, almost blackish looking, on arroz con pollo. WOW. IT WAS AMAZING. It reminded me of this kind of pepper flake oil I used to have at a restaurant that closed down years ago and I've never been able to figure out what the ingredients were that made it so delicious. The old La Vaquita II has been replaced by a new Mexican restaurant. The layout inside is nearly identical and they still have the La Vaquita sign outside up high. The extensive menu is fairly standard American-Mexican, looking to be much more Tex-Mex than La Vaquita, but they have a banner outside advertising Mexican Mexican food for a "limited time"! I hope they choose to extend the authentic menu! The Mex-Mex banner includes sopas ($3), gorditas ($3.50), tacos ($1.50), huaraches ($5), tortas ($6), and tortas Cubanas ($6.50). I got the torta Cubana, which was tasty and filling but nothing like I expected. It featured avocados, grilled meats, a hot dog, and a fried egg - a hot mess, but I enjoyed it!
