The worst management company I've ever experienced. Here's a list of all the things they've done…read moreterribly since I've lived in a building managed by them for 1 1/2 years: - the glass on the door to get into the lobby of our building has been broken into (I'm not exaggerating when I say this) 14 times. Rather than coming up with a permanent safety solution, like replacing the door with one that doesn't have glass, they just keep replacing the glass that keeps getting broken. As a result peoples packages are getting stolen from the lobby constantly. They've also told us to hat they're planning on replacing the door as a permanent solution. This was 2 months ago and nothing has changed. - when I first moved in I had a gas leak coming from my stove. I had their maintenance team come to my apartment on two different occasions to fix it, both times they claimed it was fixed and ok but I could still smell gas. When I realized they were going to to do their jobs and fix it, I called DTE to come out and turns out I was right and they lied to me about fixing it and the gas leak was still active and was finally fixed by DTE. - on several occasions the management company has turned off our water and/or power for an entire 8-5 work day with absolutely no prior notice or warning. -I've been dealing with obnoxious and loud upstairs neighbors for months now and have complained to them several times about this with absolutely nothing being done about it. I come to find out the people making the obnoxious noise is the sister and kids of the tenant who live above me and have been staying with the tenant for over 3 weeks while the guest policy says a guest can only stay for 7 days. I have made several calls and complaints to the management company trying to get them to do something, anything about the issue and they have done next to nothing, essentially talking me I have to deal with it or transfer to another apartment. Mind you they also advised me over the phone to confront the tenant about this which led to the sister of the tenant threatening me and my neighbor and a hostile fight that the management company, as expected, did nothing about. It's become obvious to me they withhold information from their tenants dealing with situations like this to try to appease everyone and not evict anyone so they can keep making money off of both tenants, meanwhile I've been miserable in my apartment for a month straight. -additionally, my brother lived in a different building managed by the same company and had issues of his own. 2 weeks before he moved out, a large portion of the ceiling in his living room fell through due to water damage from the upstairs tenants and maintenance ignored his requests (shocker) and never fixed the ceiling before he moved out. I figure they probably thought he's moving out in 2 weeks anyways we'll just fix it when he leaves and u til then he can deal with it. - ive also heard another account from another tenant in his building who was dealing with a rat infestation in her apartment and maintenance, in typical fashion, ignored this issue for months as well. -the cherry on top of it all is you can almost NEVER get in contact with their leasing office. They actively ignore calls or lie to you saying they'll call you back and never do. Overall, horrible experience. I will actively be avoiding dealing with this company ever again and they should be brought to court for the level of negligence they treat their tenants with. In conclusion, horrible communication, terrible lazy maintenance service, complete lack of urgency on important matters, and complete disregard for the safety and concern of their tenants. DO NOT RENT WITH FRIEDMAN EVER!
