Quick update on my previous review...the Michi tacos are . They are so flavorful, the homemade tortillas are insanely good and they're so cheesy! I prefer the carne asada, the carnitas is good, but they can be a little salty at times. The queso biria tacos are absolutely what they're famous for, and with good reason! They are sheer perfection, especially with a little dunk in their rich flavorful consumé...yum. They do stay pretty busy, but even when they're not, be prepared for a wait (the reason for 4 s) The orders take a while, but it's absolutely worth the wait. The cabeza was good, the shrimp was really good, flavorful. I'll update you again if I ever try anything else. read more

Monday, Sept 15th I have been a regular customer and the food has always been excellent, in taste and portion. It appears that their policy may not be to offer chips and salsa to dine in guests anymore, unless you ask for them, which usually is never a deal breaker. However, moving forward to this day's experience, the female cashier was very courteous to the previous guests so much that she had offered chips and salsa in Spanish. On the contrary, she does not offer me the same service. Since she did not offer me any chips and salsa immediately as well, I took the initiative this time and asked for some and with a smirky remark she tells me she will bring it out to me. I took the time to wait to allow her to help a guest behind me before I went back to the counter to see her now taking care of the previous guests' beer as well. When she notices me, she asks what do I need. I again ask for the chips and salsa. This girl clearly had no sense at all to serve me and was not apologetic either. The rating is mainly for the customer service. They already don't provide a full service as it is, but you would think there would be decent minimal service even more so after being left any tip at all. There was absolutely no reason for the discrimination. On a side note, my shrimp taco that is usually packed only had three pieces on it. Not sure if that was related in any way to the animosity of the cashier that influenced the portion of my food. But hey... after an experience such as this, your average customer is going to link the two. I was already afraid something was going to happen to my food. I will stay away from this business awhile and perhaps try another time. Based on the other reviews, it seems this establishment should start taking pride in the people that they hire. I used to like this place. Had good food until I ordered fish tacos and my fish was really burnt. I'm not sure if the oil was just old or if they over cooked the fish but either way it was terrible. And the fact that whoever cooked my food thought it was ok to serve my plate like that is ridiculous. I could smell the burnt fish before opening my plate. read more

I really didn't want to put this review because I've been here quite a few times and the food is usually delicious but my husband and I had ordered the michi bowls and something in the bowl was spoiled and it tasted and smelled horrible. I left a voicemail on their phone wanting to fix the issue but no call back and I called their phone multiple times but no one answers. We've been eyeing this location since it first opened months ago. We've been to their other location that also serves pupusas :) We ventured out on a super rainy day because tacos would hit the spot. The menu is not entirely the same as the other location so we had to check it out first. We ordered 1 order of potato flautas (came with 3) and 2 shrimp tacos. The food came out in good time after ordering that evening. The decor is lively, bright and welcoming. There was a good amount of seating for the space available. We had a few questions and the lady at the cash register explained what the items consisted of with patience and a smile on her face. We told her it was our first time and she made sure our order would be made how we wanted it. The potato flautas were amazing! So simple yet delicious! I love me some potato flautas!! The salsas were yummy as well. I loved the avocado salsa. The shrimp taco was a bit messy to eat, but it went down the hatch one way or another! We'll definitely return to try other menu items! They need help here! The whole front of house including service needs to be fired. They lack integrity. Although the food it's pretty decent, the service is terrible. The ladies in front are always unorganized and confused. Also the food takes extremely long to come out. The music is vibey but who cares if you have to wait 45 mins for 4 tacos you ordered online. Took 45 minutes to get 6 tacos to go. They said 25 minute wait. Asked for everything on the tacos and they came completely bare with just the piece of fish. The sides were in these tiny half filled containers on the side. Not enough to cover the amount of tacos we got and they forgot the salsas we asked for. I went back in to ask for another container of sides and the missing salsas, and they gave me containers that were even smaller than the first ones and still barely filled up... Still missing the salsas. So I had to ask for those a 3rd time. In the 45 minutes of waiting there were countless orders being sent back for being wrong. The cashier told me it would take 15-20 minutes to complete the order. About 40 minutes later, I see four employees standing at the counter talking to each other, so I ask how much longer it will take to complete my order. Tacos are filled up-I needed a fork. I got the Carne Asada and lengua. A pineapple and lemon margarita with the chili around the brim. Which is actually really nice it's a raspberry sauce with the seasoning. Were good but I would say the drinks here or what's going to bring you back along with the music and vibe. Did you get the chips and salsa the red salsa pretty good chips are OK. The green salsa is more spicy less flavor- probably something to put onto the taco not so much on the chips. He told me one of his favorite places so my wife and I called and see if they had certain tacos on the taco Tuesday so I spoke to Orlando, which is the manager we got there. We said hi to Orlando and server's name for Jackie very kind very friendly. She helped us to place an order. The more of the story is I ordered the fish taco and the shrimp taco my wife had El Pastor and Carnitas just want you guys to know. We're very happy with the service extremely happy with the food my favorite was a Carnitas. Hopefully I've never had in any taco place I have ever went to. The main salsa they provide, tastes like a raw onion and the others are beyond hot that you can't even enjoy the flavors they're supposed to add. Please, for the love of God provide a regular green and red salsa. No need for gourmet salsas or reduce the heat. Goods & Bads: absolutely one of the best taco shops in socal, but my only issue ever is their inability to get ordered correct. The young ladies they have working the cashiers are nice and kind, but rarely get orders correct when we go. I never write yelp reviews but after 3 trips to Michi's and them getting my order incorrect all 3 times only for me to find out once I got all the way home, has become a big turn off.
