This is my new obsession! From the services to the products, this salon is a gem!…read more Products: Kevin Murphy to R & Co are the BEST hair products on the market (in my personal opinion). My hair has never felt healthier.... in addition to looking better, now onto to services! Haircut: Kim is phenomenal!!! My hair looks fabulous with every cut. I've been to a few stylists in the area and after a haircut with Kim, I refuse to allow anyone else touch my hair. She is the only person who know how to texturize and cut my hair. Brazilian Blowout: Again, Kim is the BEST! I've been to a few stylists in the area (5 total) and I can honestly say, they are doing the service incorrectly. With the majority of my experiences, the blowout would fade away after 1 month... however my blowout has lasted with Kim, in addition, she conducted the procedure differently than anyone else. Her process, technique, and even the brushes she used were entirely different. This service is on the higher price scale in the area, however it lasts, and you walk out with $100 worth of products that are included. 100% worth it Dermaplane: Tess is flawless. I've had some dermaplanes that were very abrasive, however hers was thorough, non abrasive, and rejuvenating. My skin looked flawless and dewy.

She said that won't happen she does perms all the time. She booked my appointment for Wednesday. Wednesday come and she cancelled on me because she did not feel well. The receptionist scheduled me for Thursday at 245 pm. I went inscared yet excited red for my new look. She again guaranteed that I had nothing to worry about. Long story short she burned my hair it looks like a birds nest. I cried and should have known something was wrong when she walked away and had her manager find my hair. Trying to tell me that it was normal for my hair to look like it did I left she upset. They did nothing to fix it. They charged me and sent me on my way. I don't recommend going there ever. I went back in for a cut with Chuck and had a great experience and I absolutely adore the cut I got. Everyone was very friendly, there's a welcoming vibe (not pretentious at all like some other salons I've been to), and you can tell they love what they do. They carry Pureology and Redken products which I love. I don't know if I just had bad luck before or if they've since changed something with their operations, but it's now evident to me that customer satisfaction is a priority for them. I already scheduled my next appointment and hope I've found my "regular salon."

I had my hair cut three times here, all by the same person. Given the fact that a service is…read morepriced according to the skill level of the stylist, I intentionally didn't choose someone with the highest skill level since I wanted to be budget-conscious. My first and second visits went fine although little things bothered me like no designated person working the reception area to greet me and the stylist reeking of smoke. My third visit - which was my final visit - I noticed when I got into my car and looked in the mirror that the stylist left one of my sideburns far shorter than the other. What happened to showing the client the finished style in the mirror before they add product and you leave? I went back in and politely showed the stylist her error. This was clearly an inconvenience for her. She muttered something then begrudgingly evened me out WITH NO APOLOGY. I don't think for a second this particular stylist is representative of the salon as a whole; rather, I just made a bad choice. Still, because of this experience, I won't give the salon another chance. PM me if you want additional details.

That nonsense ends today. After reading tons of reviews and doing a crazy amount of research, I had my first appointment at Mint this morning. And I am here to tell you that I am not just happy, but THRILLED. Before scheduling my appointment, the folks at Mint asked loads of questions about my likes and dislikes, my hair type, and all sorts of other things. Based on my answers, they paired me with Danielle. And they hit the nail right on the head. After I'd scheduled, she texted me so she could see pictures of my hair now, get a sense of who I was, and more. And when I got there this morning, she took such care to ensure I would walk out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. And that's exactly what happened. Thank you, Danielle (and thank you, Mint)!!

I requested a full highlight and brought in inspiration pictures which showed caramel and auburn…read morehighlights against brunette hair (I am a brunette). I ended up getting my roots bleached and darkened to a dark brunette color (only at the scalp, not all over head, more like a partial highlight) and then a glaze put over my hair to complete the look. My girl had to glaze my hair 3x because it was not getting dark enough. I walked out with no caramel, no auburn and no definition. I spent nearly $183.00 for this service. I called and told them how unsatisfied I was. The next day when I washed my hair - nearly all the glaze washed out and I looked like Ronald McDonald - a nice orange. In all fairness, they offered to correct the color and stated they would put more glaze on it. I told them glaze was not going to get the results I wanted and had consulted 3 other hairstylists who stated glaze was not the answer. I needed a FULL HIGHLIGHT with low lights added as well. There was no other discussion or consultation with a stylist other than who was at the front desk - I was just relayed messages through the Front Desk. I asked about refund since they were not going to offer me anything than a glaze that had already not worked. They said they would only refund me $40 which is the cost of the glaze they thought would correct my hair. So I spent nearly $200 and got $40 back. I did not get what I asked for in the first place. Then I had to go spend another $200 to get my hair color fixed. Due to this poor experience, I had to cancel an appointment for a cut and go somewhere else to get my hair cut as well. I felt I paid high end prices for beginner color services. The Front Desk ladies were very courteous and polite. They apologized for my poor experience. Overall, I do not recommend, although my friend goes to Paige and gets a really sharp cut and color which looks awesome. Not putting my stylist on blast. If you decide to go to Mint and want a color that is complicated - ask for the most experienced colorist.
