had a Consultation with Ashley. She guaranteed me that she could give me a spiral perm. I told her about a previous experience with a perm that traumatized me. She said that won't happen she does perms all the time. She booked my appointment for Wednesday. Wednesday come and she cancelled on me because she did not feel well. The receptionist scheduled me for Thursday at 245 pm. I went inscared yet excited red for my new look. She again guaranteed that I had nothing to worry about. Long story short she burned my hair it looks like a birds nest. I cried and should have known something was wrong when she walked away and had her manager find my hair. Trying to tell me that it was normal for my hair to look like it did I left she upset. They did nothing to fix it. They charged me and sent me on my way. I don't recommend going there ever. I saw Jess (level 2) in January 2026 and had a horrible experience. She didnt listen to my request and took over with what she wanted to do instead. She didnt blend my greys which is what i requested over everything and gave me one of the worst cuts ive ever had. No layers in the back of my head which with my amount of thick wave is horrible the way it lays and I was asking nunerous times for it and she declined to do so saying I would be left with thin hair. I would not. I know my hair. I am in my late 30s. And gave me horrible uneven and unleaded layers around my face and in the front. And the salon wouldn't credit me with a redo or fix. I will not recommend or go back. It is too expensive for this level to get this type of service. read more

This is my new obsession! From the services to the products, this salon is a gem! Products: Kevin Murphy to R & Co are the BEST hair products on the market (in my personal opinion). My hair has never felt healthier.... in addition to looking better, now onto to services! Haircut: Kim is phenomenal!!! My hair looks fabulous with every cut. I've been to a few stylists in the area and after a haircut with Kim, I refuse to allow anyone else touch my hair. She is the only person who know how to texturize and cut my hair. Brazilian Blowout: Again, Kim is the BEST! I've been to a few stylists in the area (5 total) and I can honestly say, they are doing the service incorrectly. With the majority of my experiences, the blowout would fade away after 1 month... however my blowout has lasted with Kim, in addition, she conducted the procedure differently than anyone else. Her process, technique, and even the brushes she used were entirely different. This service is on the higher price scale in the area, however it lasts, and you walk out with $100 worth of products that are included. 100% worth it Dermaplane: Tess is flawless. I've had some dermaplanes that were very abrasive, however hers was thorough, non abrasive, and rejuvenating. My skin looked flawless and dewy. read more

I have been searching for the right stylist for almost 20 years, i have very long, extremely thick, coarse, naturally curly, naturally auburn/red hair. I can't tell you how many stylist I've gone thru that have cut off all my hair, over processed and damaged it to the point of frying or just did a crappy job, good stylists are hard to find, great stylist are almost non existent, almost. This is a botiqueky, clean and bright salon with modern equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. The receptionist will always great you warmly and you'll never feel like you're in a stuffy, snobby salon. The wait is almost non existent but during your short wait you can peruse the eclectic and unique assortment of handmade jewelry and other products neatly displayed throughout the salon, this place oozes charm. My stylist, Lori is always cheerful, friendly and very down to earth, you'll know the minute you meet her she's genuine, you can't help but like her and knows her stuff about hair. This isn't what your used to, she and the stylist here know hair on a much more in depth scientific level then I've ever seen before, they understand exactly what you want and exactly how to achieve it. The pampering will be felt during your wash and hot towel treatment (if you've never had hot towel on your head, your missing out!) Then it's off to start your pruning and color process. Lori asks me exactly what I want and WILL NEVER CUT OFF my HAIR, if you have long hair, you always have this fear, she gets it totally. The first visit I brought a picture of the color of my hair in the sunlight, she MATCHED it EXACTLY, spot on, highlights and all, exact match. I don't know how many stylist you know that can do this but I only know one. She speaks to me in terms I understand and makes certain she understands my wish. I love Lori not only because of her immense talent but her warm, friendly conversation that always makes me feel so comfortable, nobody likes stuffy salons were your ignored. My hair has always looked incredible and exactly how I want, from the first visit, every time. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is when your a redhead knowing your color will be the exact shade you desire. My color lasts and never fades as I've experienced other places. This is not the $12.99 haircut chain, you get what you pay for. I don't find the prices excessive whatsoever and Lori earns every penny of the extraordinary service she provides... Please reconsider choosing this Salon. I went to one stylist who made my hair extremely choppy and shorter than the pics I showed her. I went back for a stylist to fix and this is what I got! I spent with tip $180 dollars and the owner refunded $52. Very unsatisfied. The first stylist has 10 years experience and the second has over 5. Very disappointed in how this was handled. i adore my super-talented stylist sara she is the perfect combination of sweet and laid-back but with the edge you want in a stylist, unless you want to look like a soccer mom she is also able to carry on an intelligent conversation while cutting your hair - a really refreshing change from some of the stylists i have gone to in the past (nb: when a stylist tells you she 'loooooooves the kardashians' - r.u.n.) she gets me and gets my hair (crazy thick and naturally curly) she listens to my concerns and makes great recommendations (all about keeping it healthy and low maintenance) she doesn't push unneccesary products or services (if i like it i will buy it) i always come out of there feeling better than when i came in, and really, isn't that what it is all about? read more

Salon Nova is awesome. All of the employees are super stylish which made me confident that I wouldn't leave with an outdated mom-cut (my biggest fear!). My stylist, Casey, made sure she understood exactly what I wanted before she even washed my hair. After she was finished, I confided that I had imagined it a little bit shorter, so she got her scissors back out without any problems and made sure I was totally satisfied before I left. She kept the conversation light, which I always appreciate when I'm trying to relax at a salon. They also offer beverages right when you walk in which I thought was great. The place has an awesome vibe - looks like a page torn out from Nylon magazine. I also got a really cool bracelet from their small jewelry section before leaving. I didn't feel obligated to purchase any products, but if I wanted to, they were very knowledgeable about everything they had in stock. Really tried to love this place but bottom line... they are overpriced & I was ripped off. Went to Brittany FOUR times for balayage & she did what seems to be a few highlighted pieces in my hair. I thought she was doing ok since my hair was so dark & thick (which she did mention would be a process) but after the fourth time I realized she was just trying to get my money. Sadly it took 4 visits & lots of money wasted to realize that she was playing with my hair just for the hell of it. Hoping this won't happen to anyone else! Stay away from here!!!! read more

I came her for my wedding hair and makeup and it was my first time here. I came with my mom and my bridal party. They did an excellent job and everyone was pleased with the results. The owner did both my hair and makeup and spent a lot of time with me to make sure everything was just right. I loved the place and it was super hip. The best part was that they had mimosas and breakfast pastries waiting for us! I would highly recommend this place for a special occasion or just a regular haircut. read more

This hip hair salon is worth the drive to Limerick. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to say both the salon as a whole, and my stylist Casey in particular, went above and beyond when my hair *didn't* come out in a way I was happy with the week before my elopement. They spent 5 hours on a second day, correcting the problem. Even though I'd thrown more color over it, there was no guilt trip, only a desire I leave feeling good about my hair. We ended up going in a completely different direction, and I was ultimately thrilled with my purple highlights, which both looked great on the big day and are fading beautifully, as promised. I found the pricing very reasonable and the esprit de corps uplifiting, as opposed to the many catty stylists out there. This place is great-- warm and funky without the snark. read more

I am exceptionally finicky regarding my hair and who I allow to cut it--after MANY bad hair cuts AND bad customer service so when I was referred to check out Kim and her staff I figured I had nothing to lose. This salon is INCREDIBLE. Kim is an absolute pro--and she is about as down to earth as they come--which makes her even better! Her staff is always so friendly and welcoming to me. Decent local salon with nice staff. My hair is thick and coarse, so difficult to cut and color. My experience here has largely been hit or miss - some good cuts and colors, some not so good. They are expensive and recently discontinued the optional cleanse massage, which I loved - kind of disappointed on that account. My last cut was also a disappointment - not enough hair cut off, even though I had suggested that more needed to come off. My last color experience was also sub-optimal - the color was not light enough and did not last. Everything at this salon seems to take a very long time. I have to allot at least 90 minutes out of my day for a hair cut. There is often some running back and forth as my stylist attends to other matters while I am in the chair. I always have to wait for her. Granted she is the owner and needs to supervise the staff and attend to things that come up. I don't want to criticize this salon too much because they are really nice, but I am about to schedule with another salon in the area. read more

Today I had my first appointment at Salon Nova and I was so impressed! It's nerve wracking when you change salons and try somebody new. I moved to the area last summer and finally got tired of driving to my old salon (plus I needed something fresh). When I called they made me feel so comfortable about trying them out. I was paired with Amanda, (same day thanks to a cancellation!) and she was awesome! She took the time to listen to me and demonstrated right away that she had a great plan for my cut and color. I drove 40 min to get to this salon and the trip was totally worth it. The staff were warm and Brittany was amazing. I was very nervous as I was taking off 8 inches for Locks of Love and was trying out a short hairstyle after ten years. I love what she did with my hair. I came to this salon as my last one was not working out for me. I had appointment for haircut and highlight. The stylist gave me a consultation on my hair. I told her the last time I got my hair done at my previous salon I asked for high and low lights as fall was approaching and I didn't want to be really blonde. She asked me if I ever had a glaze in my hair and I said no. She explains that there is an additive that she can add to the bleach that will make the color last longer but will cost $10. I agreed to gave it. I told her that I wanted. My hair a little lighter than it was. She starts the process of applying the highlights and walks away for about 5 minutes. Come back and completes the job. She lets me process and removes the color and tells me that she wants to add a glaze to my hair. She never told me the cost of this service before she did it. I told her previously that I never have had that. I should have opened my mouth and said it again. Anyway I get my haircut and she leaves again because her next client was there and she needed to give her a consultation. I find that bad customer service. The haircut was okay but had to trim it again when I got home. I will not be returning here. Most money I have ever spent on my hair including the extra $35 for the glaze and I don't think she did any better that my old stylist. read more
