Terrible experience with HELEN. She was rude, rushed, and did a clumpy, uneven fill. She refused to do my pedicure even though I had an appointment and only changed my polish, and she used tools that weren't sterilized, which is unacceptable. I would never recommend HELEN to anyone. read more

I went here once last summer when I needed a last-minute appointment and my regular place wasn't able to squeeze me in. Back then the pedicure I received was lovely, but the very few times I went for a gel manicure or gel removal I haven't been pleased. Now I am not one who gets my nails done all the time. I had a gel manicure done in December and it was really growing out (like half my nail was new growth). I wanted a professional to remove the remaining gel rather than take it off myself. But even I know they messed up. They took a dremel to my nails, wrapped them in nail polish remover for maybe a minute (if that), then dremeled off the rest AND was using the drill on my new growth too! I expected the bottom half where there was gel to be a little worn but now my entire nails are rough and beat up - including the new growth which shouldn't have been touched with power tools. She did knick me in 2 spots as well. (Small ones, one faded already, but I thought I should mention) Pedicure over the summer was fine. I do not recommend for a gel manicure or gel manicure removal. I gave it a shot but I don't think I'll be back. read more

I want to start off by saying that there salon is beautifully decorated and looks extremely clean, but the dip powder manicure that I received was subpar. When I asked her for a gel topcoat, which by the way I have been getting dip manicures for over a year with gel topcoats, she looked at me like I had just asked her to cut her hand off. When she did the gel topcoat there were VISIBLE grove lines left on my right hand so now it looks AWFUL and there's nothing I can do besides pay to get them done again. I was looking for a new nail place since I recently moved. Michelle's had good reviews but I was still skeptical since it only had 2. I still decided to come and wow they're great! I just got got back from my second visit and had Mai do a full acrylic set and she did a great job. She took her time and made sure the shape was perfect and my nails were even on both sides. Unfortunately, she only works Sundays but she's going to be a new go-to! They're also always very friendly in person and over the phone. The salon is a little bit out of the way for me but it's worth the drive. The interior is very clean (it's a new building) and they always have HGTV or the Cooking channel on so I like to watch :). I'd suggest calling in and making an appointment first. They can get busy pretty fast it seems. read more

New place! I've been waiting for them to open since I moved here this past October! Decor is so cute inside... everything is nice and clean. Looks bigger on the inside than it does from the outside. I first came during the first week of their Grand Opening.. so the owner Michelle had drinks and food for everyone coming in. So nice! Prices are reasonable and they do an awesome job! I only got a pedicure, with a little extra to make it more like a spa experience (like scrubs, hot towels, lotions and a great massage hehe). The chairs for the pedicures are HUGE! And of course have the massager to use while you sit. I'm a little short so I felt like I was slouched the whole time to be able to get my feet into the tub haha.. but that's only because I'm fun size. I forgot the name of my nail technician but she was great and did an awesome job. I don't get my nails done all that much, so I always get nervous when they are trying to sell me extra service, but with her I didn't feel any pressure or anything. During their grand opening, they had a ton of discounts.. but they have discounts for students, military and groups of 4 or more! Check this place out, you won't be disappointed! Had an amazing experience at Michelle's Nail & Spa. I decided to treat myself to a full set after not getting my nails done for over a year due to covid. Michelle's was the perfect place! The decor around the shop was so cute and the chairs were so comfortable. I appreciate the owner's effort to choose furniture that would make their customers comfortable. The stations are separated by plastic windows so I felt like I had my own little bubble and didn't have to worry about anyone getting too close. Parking was a breeze & we got seated very quickly. My nail artist was Annie (white nails) and my BFF's Sophia (orange). Annie was super quick but she was also a perfectionist. She always asked if everything looked ok to me & even when I said it looked good, she would always go back and double check to make sure my nails were even and symmetrical. My BFF loved Sophia and her creativity! She also knew how to keep up a good conversation & even had another customer ask her to do her nails when she was done. Sophia didn't rush like I expected anyone to do after receiving another request from another customer which we appreciated. From my experience, all the employees were super nice and took the extra effort to make sure we were comfortable. It's been over two weeks since my visit & my nails look great even after picking my nails, typing all day long for work, and even working out. I'm from CA, but I'll definitely be coming back during my annual visits to NJ! read more

You know what they say - everyone has a bad day. Seeing all the good reviews here, I guess yesterday was the bad day for this nail salon. I was disappointed with one technician who gave me an attitude the whole time I was getting my mani. Other staff and technician, however, were nice and friendly and nails turned out good. I went to this nail salon to get gel mani and pedi with designs. When I checked in, I learned that they booked me on the day the design-specialized nail technician is off but thought I should just give it a try regardless. It was also a plus that the greeting staff had an excellent customer service skill. Loved every conversation I had with her. I had two different nail technicians for Pedi and Mani. For the technician who did my pedi, I have no complaints. She took her time and was very accommodating. It seemed like the gel pedi was not her forte but she tried really hard, which I appreciated. I think I would've given four/five stars had it been only her. However, the technician who worked on my mani was the complete opposite. She seemed like she did not want to be there and gave me attitude as I was getting my nails done. I felt like she did not listen to my request and she kept cutting me off. I guess you can say it was due to the language barrier but when I looked around, no other nail technician (including the one who did my Pedi) was giving the same attitude to the customers. Don't get me wrong, her work was fine but I wished her attitude was not as hostile. If she really did not want to work on me, I could've just rescheduled my mani appointment some other day since I was already discussing the possibility of rebooking Mani with another technician. At one point, I felt so stressed out that I just wanted to leave the nail salon regardless of how my nails turned out. When my nails were done, I was so relieved that I could leave. The staff at the cash register asked me if I loved my nail design but all I could think about was just getting out of there. Truth to be told, the nails turned out fine if not great - the design wasn't what I expected but it turned out to be cute on its own way. I think I would've loved it had the nail salon experience been much better. One downside was that she was overly aggressive with the cuticles so I kept bleeding. Of course, there was no apology for that. I feel bad leaving a bad review here because I really really wanted to love this nail salon. Both the cash register staff and the Pedi technician were so nice and accommodating. The nails came out fine, if not great. But I kept thinking about how uncomfortable I was as I was sitting there and that was the deciding factor for the rating. Since I liked everything else about the nail salon, I'll probably go back and see if I feel any different about the customer service. read more

Michelle, the owner, took the time get me started with the removal of my dip manicure as it was very busy when I arrived. Mai was my nail tech and she did an excellent job. Definitely the best dip manicure I've ever got. Not only is she a master at her skill but she is quick and very nice. She took the time to learn my name and tell me about herself and her family. What a waste of time and money -$80!!! I waited longer than it took for them to do my nails (gel pedicure and gel manicure.) I felt rushed throughout my appointment, my toenails are cut uneven, the edges of my fingernails aren't painted and the manicure itself is uneven. When I pointed this out to the manicurist, she told me not to worry about it and that it will "settle" in when done. I asked her to cut my toenails and fingernails short, she cut them albeit aggressively. I was looking forward to finding a place close to home, but this won't be it. In addition, I don't think they use fresh instruments for every client. Now I'm going to have to go somewhere and pay to get the gel removed on my fingernails and toenails and get everything redone. I cannot say enough great things about this nail salon, and even more so about Honey who is the only one that I trust with my nails!  First and foremost, their space is beautiful, clean and super convenient with extra parking   I have been getting my nails done by Honey for the last six months and she never disappoints - she is absolutely wonderful!  After going there a few times I have become faithful to getting the dip manicures which I swear have changed the health of my nails.  The dip and process they use is non-harsh and even protects my nails that they are growing strong and longer than ever.   I wish I had more pictures to show however I have received some of the most beautiful designs I have ever had by Honey.  She is truly an artist when it comes to her designs, which she hand-crafts and caters to any of your feedback/needs and always adding special touches like beautiful swarovski crystals or super pretty foils and techniques.  She takes the time to bring her own supplies and tools to make sure ever set is always perfect.  I swear pictures do not do her work justice - they are so great! read more

I don't do Yelp reviews or try to purposefully hurt a business, but I just wanted to share my experience to help someone else out. I got a beautiful gel manicure from Michelle's and all went well until my finger swelled up tripling in size two days later. I soon learned that I had a cuticle infection that was really painful and ended up going to urgent care to squeeze the puss out as well as receiving antibiotics. It's a shame I have to go through this pain because they neglected to use clean, sterile tools on me. As I have discussed my situation to others I learned that this wasn't their first time hearing about an infection at this place. Lesson learned, Michelle's please do better and customers be vigilant about what your nail tech is using/ doing!! read more

Made a same day appointment. Got a gel french manicure and a regular French pedicure. I'm very particular about my nails. They need to look perfect Especially if I'm going to spend 2 hours of my life and 70.00. Plus tip Annie did my nails She did a perfect job. The leg massage was just okay. It's hard to find a place that gets that right. A massage should use slow meaningful strokes with a little bit of pressure. Most nail places simply do light quick movements as though they are in a contest to get the most strokes in in a certain amount of time. Same here. I was visiting from out of town and my regular place really nails the massage part. I guess I'm spoiled Aside from the massage, Annie checked off all the boxes to meet my expectations. My nails look and feel amazing. Actually got a compliment on the plane home. POSITIVE: Same day appointment No wait time upon arrival for me . overall looked and smelled clean Liners are used for the pedicure Customers give their name at the front desk to check in for their appointment Customers must wash hands after that Customers then go to an iPad type screen and complete checkin. I washed my hands again following touching the iPad screen Hand sanitizer is available Plastic acrylic barriers between technician and customer for manicure Separate room for pedicures. No plastic acrylic barriers but customers were spaced appropriately Technicians wore masks. Mostly the correct way minus one or two who had their nose exposed. Some staff didn't wear masks however At the checkin desk but had a plastic barrier. Fine until they left the desk Front desk staff was professional and friendly Priced appropriately for services My nails looked beautiful NEGATIVE When I put my hand in the light box for my gel manicure, I got a glob of unknown gooey sticky stuff on my finger pad. It was pretty gross. I told my technician and she removed it from my finger and apologized You could feel a build up of something on the bottom of the UV box. Probably old nail polish. Not the best feeling. Very crowded with some customers waiting and standing by sinks and not wearing masks Customers were closer than six feet with no barriers between customers at manicure station. Customers are not required to wear a mask The woman next to me was mask less and coughing. Had I not double masked just in case, I would not have felt safe and would have left. Despite being vaccinated, I have concerns about the new variants. Most people want to just feel safe as they try to live as normal as possible during this never ending covid experience and don't mind wearing a mask especially if their mani/pedi is worth it. I'd say 80% of customers wore masks anyway. I'd give it 5 stars if a mask was a requirement, there was more distancing or just barriers in place between customers at the manicure station and if the UV light boxes were clean Annie , my tech however is very talented and my nails look great. So all that said, I would recommend this place for a beautiful manicure and pedicure done with care and attention to detail Just be prepared be very close to other customers who may or may not be wearing a mask and if you're getting gel , expect some residue on the inside of the box read more
