I decided to go through with the operation having 100% confidence in her. The operation went as good as could be expected. Went home with very clear instructions on what to expect and what to do if problems occurred. Which none did. She had prescribed the medications at the pre-op visit, so I had them when I got home. The plan of care that had been followed for about a decade had prevented me from unnecessary suffering and grown me some healthy nails, was a thing of the past. Well. "new provider", that's what she called herself, declared she would no longer be following that plan and if I came back I would have to pay out of pocket for care unless there was a problem. There is no more preventative care unless you are a diabetic. Then I was able to read her post visit notes that included things not addressed but documented as discussed. Minimal care was provided. I find that reprehensible. I was in shock at the manner in which I had been treated. Call me old school, but, I would never speak to any patient in such a manner. Unfortunately, moving on.
