I am so happy that I came to Keyes for Toes. I had a terrible, painfull callus between baby toe and fourth toe. It was too painful to wear shoes. I had gone to a podiatrist before coming to Keyes for Toes that wanted to perform full on surgery, with general anesthesia! My initial experience with Dr. Keyes was good, the procedures are easy and the healing time minimal. Fast forward a couple years later though and the results of the procedure are devastating. Cosmetic foot surgery is not cheap and my goal was to feel confident wearing open toed shoes. My second toe was quite a bit longer than my first toe and I had developed corns from my long toes rubbing on shoes over the years. I had my second and third toes on both of my feet shortened as well as corns removed. The second toes where cut at the main knuckle to be shortened and the third toes were cut on the knuckle closer to the toenail. The length is now great and all 4 toes are shorter, however, My second toe has a definite bend where it was cut, is turning away from the big toe and curls completely under to the point where I step on my toenail. I have sought second and third opinions and each doctor has told me that this is the direct result of the doctor cutting at the main knuckle of the long toe instead of the smaller knuckle that is closer to the toe nail. When I reached out to doctor Keyes he said it had nothing to do with the surgery and must have been due to the way I was taping my toes after the surgery. Which he, himself showed me to do when I started to see early signs of the toes not being straight. He did not even offer me a free consultation in the office as he wanted another charged office visit to consult on the results I had. He was happy to do an email consult and offered me to set up another series of chargeable visits to discuss how I could pay for him to correct the issues I as having as a result of the toe shortening surgery he performed. I have since had two "free" consultations from other Podiatrists that perform toe shortening procedures and both advised me that the results I have are indeed a direct result of where Dr. Keyes cut the toe to shorten it. Because of his total lack of accountability and willingness to help fix the botched results I will be forced to file a malpractice suit. Please go elsewhere if you are considering toe shortening procedures. read more

I traveled from out of state to have my procedure done. Dr. Keyes and his staff are top notch. Extremely helpful and courteous. He answered all my questions and talked to us ( my husband attended as well) the entire time. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable about this procedure and podiatry in general. The office was clean and inviting. So far so good. I am only 3.5 weeks post procedure but I can see a difference already. Prayerfully everything heals up nicely. I will post an update. read more

I am incredibly pleased with the procedures and the nurturing staff. In July 2019, I had corns removed on four toes over a four-day period. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to walk and drive immediately afterwards. I am so happy with the results, and I now love wearing open toe shoes. read more

I left a great review previously for fixing both my 2nd toes which had hammertoe. I was so happy with those results that I went back 6 months later and had one more hammertoe fixed (the 3rd toe on my left foot only). This review is for that 3rd toe. Very good result with a straight toe that recovered unusually fast. My body weight is now equally spread across my entire feet and toes, which feels incredible. So glad I went to a toe specialist. Great service, helpful with insurance. (FYI- I originally debated about fixing the 3rd toe on the first trip partly because it was not as bad as the others. Later on I decided i wanted all 10 toes to be straight. So they fixed a total of 3 toes.) read more

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Keyes at Keyes for Toes... so much so that I actually made a Wordpress blog about my experience from start to finish. If you have any toe issue that is bothering you, I highly recommend Dr. Keyes. My 2nd toe was curved and longer than the rest, and the shortening has been great! No longer do I have to worry about incorrect shoe sizes, shoes not fitting right and causing pain, or shoes looking weird because of the affected toe on each foot (it looked especially bad with peep toe shoes... That was really the straw that broke the camel's back.). Now I would be lying if I said the aftermath was 100% painless... It's surgery, so you have to be realistic. However, I can say I was working a retail job directly afterward and I was consistently on my feet, and it really wasn't bad! Just don't stub your pretty new toes!!! This review is for the appointment making process. I found the appointment making process to be uncomfortable. I wanted to know whether my current insurance or future insurance would be better to use. I was told that I could not be given an answer over the phone. I then asked if the finance person would contact me directly for exact pricing (pre-insurance) of the procedure. I was told that was not possible. So I then decided to book an appointment to be seen by the doctor and discuss the costs. The consultation fee is $35 which is later applied towards the procedure. Payment has to be done over the phone when scheduling your appointment. I explained that I was uncomfortable with giving payment information to an office that I've never been to and that I preferred paying when I go in for my appointment. The receptionist wouldn't allow this so I decided not to see this doctor. read more

I found Dr. Keyes to be exceptional. He was my 5th podiatrist and quickly diagnosed the problem, corrected it voila. When another foot issue arose, I was disappointed to find he only deals with surgeries, not maintenance, so I had to hit the road to find another capable podiatrist. read more

He recommended that because of the size of my bunions that I operate on those 1st and then return to him to straighten my toes. He said he knew s.o who used a minimally invasive technique, however, his billing lady said she could not give me the info until I became his patient, that is signing up for my procedure. I did not understand how disclosing this info would affect his bottomline, since Dr. Keyes said he stopped opertaing on bunions in 2007. Quite frankly, with some research it should not be difficult finding s.o who does not use screws/ pins. Personally I just wanted to remove a corn and get some skin lightning cream for my discoloration. Unfortunately he charges a fixed price of $2,500 per toe. For me, $2,500 for bleaching and corn removal was expensive. In fairness however, his technique and quoted price of $2,500 is really toe shortening/ straightening plus corn removal and skin bleaching, and whatever else that needs to be done to the toe to make it more pleasing to the eye. The cost also includes post-op shoes. I did not like that the billing lady said that I would be charged $2,500 for the toe, but they would bill the insurance company $5,000 and any amount greater than $2,500 that I received from the insurance company, then I would sign over to their office. Is this standard protocol in insurance and medical billing? Conclusion: I get the feeling that Dr. Keyes is good at what he does, however I'm very squeamish about cutting my bones and so his technique is not for me! I did not like that he kept calling my toes knotty as if to cause shame so that I would be agreeable to shortening them. The fact that I approached him as a cosmetic podiatrist, means that I'm dissatisfied with my toes appearance. However, I felt that I was subtly being shamed so that I would sign up for his procedure. Wanted to visit as I'm not from America so called to find out their price range. The dumbo on reception refused to give me a price range and said I must pay $95 to find out n have a consultation. Given that I'm not local, as I explained, is asked to a broad range and I understand that it won't be accurate but give me the worst so I know.... still can't give me a straight answer!! Surely "under 20k" or whatever wouldn't hurt!!! Stupid practice which is loosing you money as I sure as hell won't bother with them now. read more

Please make sure that you get an second opinion before going to Keyes for Toes. I went in for Hammer Toes, corns ,and some Excruciating pain on my foot. For the life of me, I don't know what Dr Keyes did, because I had to have the same thing done, and a surgery for the pain. I'm very unhappy with Dr Keyes service. DO NOT GO HERE!!! One of my toes healed up out of shape with extra skin and a lipoma and he refused to correct it without me paying for the entire surgery all over again!!!! The woman in the office is very rude and money hungry once a problem arrives she will try to place blame on the patient for the unsatisfactory results!!!! RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!!! It feels horrible to have gone through all that pain and still end up with a deformed toe!!!! There is nothing I could have done to cause extra skin and a lipoma to form!!! He did not remove enough of the extra skin when he removed the bone portion and I will be going to a REAL professional to help me correct this hack job!!!! Horrible experience! I would give zeros stars if allowed. They do a bait and switch when it comes to insurance and payments. I'm assuming the work is good but the front off e staff and that manager is terrible. Additionally, Then they keep calling when you decline their services. I never felt like a patient seeking care I felt as if I was in in a car dealership trying to get persuaded into treatment. At one point, the manager stated attempting to make it very clear that they have people flying from all over the country to seek their services I felt as if I should have been privileged to have them take me on as a patient. read more

This place is mostly concerned about cosmetics than pain. This is fine, but not sufficient for my needs. I went in the facility for a consultation and it left a feeling of distaste in my mouth. The doctor was okay, but it's his practice so every aspect of the visit reflects on him. I saw his financial person 1st and their questionnaire was a little odd. I was asked to rate my confidence in the doctor, which I stated initially it was high, due to reviews but that I needed to see him to know for sure. She asked how I liked the look of my feet and to rate them. This was fine as I know their primary business are from people who are mostly concerned with the aesthetics of their feet. But the doctor is a podiatrist, so one would think that persons with pain would be important too. Overall, I was thoroughly turned off by their insurance policy. For out of network providers the patient's insurance pays the patient. This means the patient pays everything out of pocket and then they get reimbursed by their insurance. But they state that if the insurance pays above the quoted amount, the "extra" money belongs to the clinic. Lastly, I also didn't like being pitched to use care credit. Overall it may be good for some, but not me. I found someone to my liking who did a thorough exam with xrays and learned I needed a different type of surgery than the one being pitched and they don't use screws either. read more

I have been to dozens of dr offices but none as well run as this one-yes the billing lady is a bit intense but that is her job-The dr is an artist who loves what he does- my daughter moved out of tow after surgery so the after care consists of her emailing pix and Dr Keyes reviewing them and responding immediately.There is a little pain but for my daughter, who would not go barefoot or wear sandals, it was an easy decision-and she is thrilled! read more
