UPDATE: leaving my original review in because I mistakenly called Dr. Hameed great. This doctor…read moretold us my husband only had one blockage after doing a heart cath, but when we went to the surgeon for the consult yesterday, he zoomed in on THAT test result, and saw a few more and showed us. Dr. Hameed MISSED very important things. DO NOT RECOMMEND. This whole practice is a mess and needs to be shut down. I have another family member who's had issues with this practice as well. --------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: WOW. Um, no thank you. My husband is changing cardiologists because of Dr. Hameed's staff, but the doctor is great. On several occasions, they've gotten my husband mixed up with his dad. My husband has had to correct them on why he was there a few times, what tests he needed done, and they also didn't even know what meds he was on when they were the ones who changed his dosages. The nurse who checked his blood pressure stressed him out so much that she did it wrong, and he had to correct her on where to put the cuff. Every visit has been such a mess, and as his wife, it's scary. It's a good thing my husband knew what he needed and all the medical stuff going on because the staff sure did not. You're playing with lives, and it's not okay. (This is for the Alliance location, but the same doctor and staff...I cannot find the Alliance one on here)

Dr Hameed is a great doctor and is very thorough. His staff,…read moreon the other hand, is very non-responsive in the follow up department. They are extremely slow to respond to request for file transfers requested by the doctor and are just the worst.

Dr. Schwartz has been caring for my 70 year old mother this past year. She has some ongoing cardiac…read moreproblems; she had seen more than 3 other cardiac specialists and none was able to assist her with her heart palpitations and general cardiac pain. I was SO impressed that this Doctor actually took the time to 1) do some extensive testing, and 2) suggested my mother take some homeopathic vitamins to assist her. I'm extremely impressed that first of, the homepathic vitamins worked when NOTHING else did. Second, that a DOCTOR would recommend them. I abhor most of the institutionalized medical profession, as many simply prescribe painkillers and ignore preventative/alternative remedies. This was extraordinary to me both that he was thoughtful enough to evaluate all traditional routes and then offer her some non traditional solutions. And one that WORKED. She is so much better. I haven't even met this doctor but knowing how much pain my mother has been in the past few years, and what she had to say about him, I needed everyone to know that this guy is the real deal. Go Dr. Schwartz, you rock. She also said he has a great bedside manner, etc. All that good stuff. Yay!

My experience at this office today was unacceptable. My appointment was at 1:00 PM. When I first…read morearrived, the door was locked. I noticed a plaque stating the doors may be locked from 12:30 to 1:00, so I waited until 1:00 before returning. When it was still locked at 1:00, the time of my appointment, I knocked to alert staff that I was there. The staff member who opened the door was visibly irritated, pointed to the plaque, and asked if I "had a question" instead of welcoming me or simply saying hello. Her tone and attitude were rude and unprofessional from the start. Once I was inside, another staff member came around the corner and, instead of showing professionalism or trying to diffuse the situation, made a sarcastic comment about the plaque and their lunch hours as she walked away, clearly meant to be rude. If the office is closed until 1:00, then maybe appointments should not be scheduled at that time. It is customary for patients to arrive a few minutes early to check in. Had the first staff member simply opened the door, greeted me, and said "let's get you checked in," the entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, she acted as though I had inconvenienced her by knocking. The echocardiogram technician was not rude, but she was indifferent and impersonal. She seemed rushed and less thorough than other technicians I have experienced. What truly concerned me was that after telling me I would need to undress and put on a gown, she did not leave the room. When she realized I wasn't changing, she asked if I wanted her to leave, but in a way that made it seem unnecessary or inconvenient for her to do so. That should never even be a question. Patient privacy should always be assumed and respected. In my 50 years, I have never had a nurse, doctor, or technician ask that in any medical setting. They always leave the room to provide privacy. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. The room itself also appeared unclean, with a trash can overflowing with used gowns, dirt on the floor, and dirty chairs, which made the environment feel unsanitary. It's a shame when poor staff behavior reflects so poorly on a practice. There are too many options out there to tolerate this level of unprofessionalism.

April 16, 2026 Wise County Medical and SurgicalReview: 1…read moreStar Worst experience I've had with a medical practice. I scheduled appointments for both my wife and myself, but the office created multiple errors that ruined our visit. We received a notification on my wife's phone confirming a 10:15 a.m. appointment for her and an 11:00 a.m. appointment. When we arrived at 10:15, the staff could not find my appointment and eventually realized they had mistakenly scheduled both slots under my wife's name only. Compounding the problem, we were never notified about an earlier 9:30 a.m. appointment that had apparently also been scheduled. By the time we finished discussing the confusion with the staff, it was already 10:30 a.m. They informed us they were running behind and could see my wife immediately, but I would have to wait until 4:30 p.m. -- an extremely inconvenient option since we live 35 miles away. The staff was rude and unable to explain the scheduling errors. They offered no apology and simply suggested we come back later in the day for both of us. We ultimately had to cancel the morning appointments. In the several visits we've had with this practice, I have never once been seen by an actual physician -- only nurse practitioners. The combination of poor communication, scheduling incompetence, and unprofessional staff makes this one of the most frustrating medical experiences we've ever had. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. April 16, 2026
