She was responsive and replying to me. She had a limited amount of time to show the property. It was all last minute so I wasn't able to go that same day (I live about 30-35 min away). I called her later that same afternoon to get more information on the unit. She was SO rude! She first asked my desired move in date, which was about a month out, and she said that wouldn't work. I asked her if somebody could show us the property because maybe we'd move in sooner if we fell in love with it, and she said "she'd try" in a real snarky tone. She lives in La Jolla so it was too far for her to drive to during the week. I asked her if we could come the following weekend and she said, "if it's still available." Then she asked where my boyfriend and I live, and made a rude noise after I told her. I told her I worked in Escondido and she said "well carlsbad is too far then." Uhm thanks for your input Eileen, but 1. I didn't ask you, and 2. It adds 10 min to my commute. Lost of interest right away. Not because we were picky, but because it seemed like most Realtor's saw us more as a "number" rather than a client/partner. After a couple months of casual searching for homes, we ran into David, who was doing an open house on one of the homes we were interested in. The entire time, he was responsive, honest, friendly, and just an all around genuine person. After talking to David for about 30 minutes, I knew I wanted him to represent us. After discussing the houses he was showing, he told us he would reach out to our realtor to discuss anything if we wanted to. He didn't even ask if we had a realtor, which honestly I felt was way better than immediately asking someone if they have a realtor they are working with. I told him we were looking for someone to work with, and wanted to know if he was interested. After that, David never changed in personality or professionalism. He spent HOURS searching for homes, as well as scheduling many different visits with potential prospects. No matter what day, or time, David was there. He would call me, text me, or anything, to let me know statuses, updates, and answer any questions or concerns. He also had a lot of experience in "fixer uppers" as well as other potential costs, etc. for things. He also had great experience in codes and regulations. Eventually, we landed on the house we wanted. It wasn't on the market yet, but David reached out to the landlord ahead of time, to explain our situation. We made an offer, and jumped out of escrow on our current offer, which we realized we did not want after finding our home. David was patient, attentive, and helpful in giving us critical advice, and his opinion whenever it was needed. I never felt like David was forcing us to buy anything. He was willing to put way more than enough to time to get us the place we wanted. Every other Real Estate agent seemed like we were a burden when looking for places to visit, etc. Also, we told many Real Estate agents our budget, and David was the ONLY one (out of 5+) agents that actually stayed within our budget. Others kept trying to sell us higher amounts that we were approved for, even though we told them we want to only go to a certain amount.
