Don't believe the reviews. I don't know how this company pulled 700 -4.8 reviews on Groupon but they did a terrible job on my carpets. Have in house video of the guy working here. He sprayed the pre-soak willy nilly and missed entire spots while actually buffering the carpets. Left my carpet full of stains and never once offered to clean them even for an additional charge. Told me my carpets would take 3 hours to dry they were dry in 15 minutes. Never changed the buffer pad and out my door in 30 minutes. I made my complaints to his face but told me to complain to the office maybe I could get a refund. Ok I am a home improvement contractor 40 years in the business and I could tell the guy was a con by the look on the guys face when he approached my door. Ten minutes after he left I ended up going to Giant and renting a carpet Devil shampooer. Never again! read more

Definitely 5 stars. Punctual, great customer service and good pricing. We have 3 big rooms that needed cleaning. We cleared most of the furniture for them. They were able to remove 98% of our stains. The stains they couldn't remove were from the previous store bought solutions we tried ourselves that discolored the carpet stains. They were out of our place in less than an hour. No chemical smell and the solution dried fairly quick. Our dog was sick and well bile doesn't come out so easily. They were able to remove the majority of it plus older stains we didn't realize we had. We will definitely use them again! read more

Maximilian, my cleaning technician, did a great job. He was on time, friendly and very professional. He wore a mask and shoe covers the entire time and I noticed he was switching them out when he went and and out of the house. I forgot to take before/after pictures but the carpet is in much better shape than it was prior to the cleaning. I purchased the 5-room deal plus stairs. The owner of the company, John, was very communicative and helpful. He was also flexible with the scheduling. I will definitely be using them for cleaning services again. read more

The carpet cleaning was mediocre. My carpet is one year old and we are pretty cautious so it didn't require a lot of work. We just needed it to be cleaned to maintain it. We only had 3 small stain that were caused by furniture removal but they failed to remove them. They didn't pay attention to problem areas like high traffic areas. I am sure I could have achieved better results by renting a carpet cleaning machine. They burnt by recliner. There are multiple burnt spots. I am regretting my decision to get it cleaned.If you need a quick clean then they are good but don't expect professional results. Wow, what excellent services! We are moving into a townhome where the previous owners had children, a dog, a cat and four adults living in it, so naturally the carpets were beat up. We weren't sure if we should replace the carpets or just get them cleaned. I searched on Groupon and found a few options, but the fact that Michaelangelo didn't use any chemicals and used all biodegradable and nontoxic cleaners stood out to me, as well as the fact that many customers raved that their carpets looked like new. I email the company with some questions and John responded immediately. He first tells me that they will honor the Groupon price without the actual Groupon which was $99 for 4 rooms--cool. Then he tells me how much each stair would cost ($2 per stair, and we have four levels, so this was important to know), how much the landings were between the stairs (each one counts as between 2-5 stairs), that it costs between $30-50 for area rugs depending on the size, that it's $30 to add Teflon to each room and if you want a deeper sanitation/odorizer for the room it's an extra $20 for each room. It all sounds great so I call to book and spoke to Anna who is awesome--great customer service. She explained the difference between steam cleaning and deep cleaning using non-toxic chemicals and I was really impressed. Most companies charged a lot more for the deep clean. Also, I had called around and many were completely booked during the Thanksgiving holiday week. However, Anna gave me a day and time that I wanted. A day before the actual cleaning, I realize I had a conflict and called Anna to see if she could squeeze me in in the morning instead of the afternoon. I expected her to be a bit grumpy about it, but she was still cheerful and easily switched another commitment around just for us and made it happen! I was really grateful. The tech did a great job--was very friendly, professional and thorough. When we realized that we wanted to treat one of the rooms for fleas (where the dog was the most) he had the solution in his truck and was able to do it for us the same day. The carpets were so clean, fluffed up, and gleaming. They looked brand new, dried in a few hours and didn't smell at all. Also they were really flexible and courteous when we wanted to pay with cash instead of credit card. They made it easy every step of the way with great customer service (sadly such a rarity these days). All around excellent company and we will definitely call Michaelangelo's again for future carpet cleaning. read more

I had a very negative experience with Michelangelo enterprises, especially with their very rude owner. It started pretty standard. My wife and I wanted our carpets cleaned, and they offered a good deal. When the employee arrived for the appointment, he asked to fill his water tank from my kitchen faucet. Of course. From the other room I could hear him tugging on the gooseneck very hard. Bang bang bang. I didn't think anything of it. He finished the carpet cleaning, I paid, it was a good job. That is until the next morning when I walked into my basement and found it flooded. The source of the water was my kitchen faucet. I had to call an emergency plumber. I tried calling Michelangelo's right away, to let them know what had happened, but couldn't get a hold of anyone. I left a message, but no one called me back for days. I ended up having to replace the kitchen faucet (very expensive). Okay, accidents happen. Michelanglo's claim they have $2 million in liability insurance, this is exactly what this is for. When their business accidentally damage their customer's home. Eventually after calling again and again(they never called me back with my messages about this problem), I got a hold of the owner. He was immediately hostile, never even offering so much as an apology that this had happened. "No, the insurance wouldn't cover that. We have to go to arbitration. They won't side with you. No, I won't offer you any free service to make-good on the damages. What proof do you have that it was my employee." What proof do I have? I have a busted faucet the day after I heard your employee tugging on it. Sorry I wasn't video recording him as he broke my sink? I told him I'd have to call him back. A day or so passed, and that's when he just started screening my calls completely. He never answered, or responded to the multiple messages I left them. I never take the time to write negative reviews on Yelp, but this and reporting them to the BBB are the last recourse I have. Please be wary if you decide to use Michelangelo Enterprises. Edit - The owner has responded to this review. Here's my message back. This is the fastest you've responded to any of my messages. And even here you don't offer an apology. I know you have $2 million in liability insurance because you post it on the front page of your website. Many of the comments here are false, most notably the timeline between your service and the broken faucet being two days. It was the next morning. 12hrs. I couldn't get a hold of you for two days, because no one on your staff would answer my calls or messages. Had you gotten back to me in that time, I would have been more than happy to have you inspect the faucet. But the plumber I had to call to immediately to fix it had taken it away by then. We have used Michelangelo for 2 years now and they are the best. We have an elderly pug who has started to go potty where he shouldn't and had several urine marks on our beige carpet. This review took me so long to write but I just have to say this carpet cleaning service was the best I've ever had! The owner taught me the difference between steam cleaning and carpet cleaning and I could certainly see a difference compared to Stanley steamer who I used last time. They fit me in last minute and even gave me a bottle of his signature stain remover. Which btw is the bomb! ((My cat threw up on carpet promptly after having it cleaned. Much to my amazement the magic carpet cleaner they gave me worked wonders and no stains)) I will definitely be using them again! Oh and ps.... he didn't use too much soap. These guys were fairly priced and the work was good but communication was a bit lacking. I was told it dries very quickly because of the way they clean but my carpets are still soaked after the allotted time. Also I wasn't told I needed to vacuum in advance - isn't that the whole point of carpet cleaning - that they clean your carpets? The guy who did the work said some companies vacuum as part of their cleaning but they don't - pretty darn important detail to leave out. So now, my carpets are "clean" but they don't look clean and I have to vacuum everything but have to wait until it's completely dry, including 25 stairs. We were told our carpet was beyond cleaning by others. It looks like we now have a new carpet! Takes a little while longer than stated to dry, and can smell faint cleaning solution downstairs, but small price to pay for the work they did. I always clean my own carpets but my boyfriend and I just moved into a condo that wasn't well kept up. There were black dust stains and spots all over the carpet. I called about an appointment with Michelangelo on Sunday; received a call back on Monday morning and had an appointment set for Tuesday afternoon! I was able to schedule Michangelo within a week to clean my upstairs carpets. Max was punctual, professional, and efficient. I had removed most of the light furnishings, and he willingly moved around some heavier items (not beds and dressers). Always ask questions first! I saw this service on Groupon, and it got great reviews. The Groupon is $70 for 3 rooms up to 1000 sq. ft. and the fine print says stairs are extra. Sounds very reasonable (and if you actually have 1000 sq. ft it's awesome). I have a small one bedroom condo, total of 770 sq. ft., with my bedroom (less than 300 sq. ft.) being the only carpeted room. I also have an 8x10 carpet in my dining room that I asked if they would clean in lieu of the other 700 sq.ft. (or 2 rooms) that come with the Groupon. I was told it's an additional $30-? depending on size. I asked for the price for just my bedroom and was told that is still $79. I don't know, maybe it's standard in this business but seems crazy to me to pay the same price for one room or three. Is cleaning the rug that much more work? I would have been sad if I bought the Groupon, scheduled the cleaning, and then found out it was more money. This review isn't meant to deter anyone, like I said this company has wonderful reviews and I am sorry that I don't have more carpet so that I could use them. It's too bad for them too because I live in a garden style condo community and once one unit has a good experience with a company many others are sure to book services! I found them on Groupon. I called to see what it consist of and was told a deep cleaning and stain treatment for three rooms for $79. I also asked if the person would be trying to sell me on any upgrades and the customer service lady laughed and said no. The morning of the cleaning I received a call from Juan who was on his way. When entering my condo, he put on booties over his shoes and walked me through my place explaining how their cleaning is different from steam cleaning and what areas I had may be a problem. Juan was great and professional and did not once try to sell me anything. It took him a total of 2hrs to complete and my carpet looked brand new, with maybe 10% showing the wear on the high traffic areas. I was surprised at how my carpets looked and it only took 2hrs to dry. It didnt dry hard either. They used a buffer which was very quiet. Im shocked at how they look for the price I paid. This is the 2nd carpet cleaning that I have scheduled with this company, & have been very happy with the results. Both times the cleaning was done on 3 bedrooms, and a high traffic hallway & stairs. The scheduling was easily done and I was able to get an appointment in less than a week. I was not home either time, but they arrived within the arranged time frame, and when I returned home, the carpets were clean & fresh. The stairs in particular had been very dirty, including pet stains, so the results were very impressive. So I got the Groupon for this place, great deal for our townhome, but the only thing they did not say in the Groupon is that you get charged per stair. Which means that for a townhome, it's a lot more money. But they were reasonable and after seeing their work I was certainly impressed. I couldn't ask for better service. I used the company to clean my carpets after a very messy puppy destroyed 3 rooms (so I thought) in my home. After they came, my carpets looked brand new. I was so impressed, I hired them again to get my furniture cleaned. And it came out flawless. Shortly after, I made the mistake of using laundry soap on one of my sofas after it was cleaned (my son spilled something on it). But that was a terrible mistake on my part, it left a huge ring on my off white love seat.
