I can't say enough good things about Michel B Events. In the beginning of the planning process I was not convinced that I needed a coordinator but now, I realize that EVERY bride should have a planner no matter what size or budget you have so you can enjoy your Big Day. I hired Michel to be my day of coordinator and from the moment I spoke with her on the phone for the first time, we immediately clicked and I knew we would be a great team to put my wedding vision to life. Michel went well above and beyond what I hired her for and exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely organized and thought I had everything covered but she thought of things that I never would have due to her extensive experience in the events industry and meticulous attention to detail. We were in constant contact with phone calls and emails for months leading up to the event. She had everything so well planned that I did not need to worry about a thing leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding I was completely stress-free thanks to her and her assistant, which is truly priceless. There's a good chance Michel actually knows magic. I believe this to be true because it's unbelievable that just she took care of our wedding plans/design all by herself. I've never had to plan such an important event and I'm glad we gave that opportunity to Michel for these reasons: - GREAT communication. She always stayed on top of details and managed our vendors very well. There were no issues during our wedding (December 2013) - Her confident and practical attitude. Giving up freedom is really a challenge and we trusted her with many tasks we weren't around to review. She showed up to our first meeting and drew out ideas in her mind immediately as if she had already worked with the venue (she hadn't!). The wedding location was remote for both of us, but she still managed to scope out all the events like it was next door. - All her input was constructive. It never felt like we were compromising our vision of a perfect wedding for US and everything she suggested only embellished/refined our ideas. - She recognized it was OUR day. It's easy to get caught up in the mentality of every effort for the sake of entertaining guests. Michel was an amazing wedding coordinator. My MOL hired Michel after reviewing a ton of places on Yelp, and after meeting with her we KNEW she was the right person for the job! She was attentive, and on top of everything at all times. Her attention to detail is off the charts. She is great to work with. For the three months leading up to our wedding, Michel was the point person for all of the vendors. She gave me specific homework as we hadn't hired her for the full planning service. I can't stress enough how much less overwhelming it is to hire vendors for a wedding when you are working off a list that has been vetted by one of the best in the business. She regularly checked in with me as the three month point of her 'taking over' approached - never pushy, just extremely helpful! In the end, our wedding went perfectly. My family was able to fully enjoy themselves and not stress out over any logistics. I was able to be fully in the moment and enjoy the best day of my life! I am so grateful for Michel's expertise and services. I cannot imagine how I would have pulled off my wedding without her. As a planner, she went well beyond my expectations, guiding me in prioritizing what to do, when to do it, as well as advising me on details as small as wine brand selection. She met w/us in-person at both our venues to do a walk-through very early on and we've had a number of phone calls throughout the planning process (as well as tons of emails and texts). She is an expert at gently cracking the whip - definitely a trait needed in a wedding planner! When I had to change my wedding to Santa Barbara, I was introduced to Michel and I am so glad I met her. Her and her team were amazing! She really helped me focus my vision on what the wedding should look like and she was there helping me through the entire process. We live in LA and we were having a beach Bar Mitzvah, part at Padaro Grill and the party at our beach house. There was soooooo much to be done and taken care of. Michel just took it all in stride. She drove to LA to talk to us, took notes, emailed constantly, phoned, and constantly stayed in touch. She never once got impatient with us, which was in itself a miracle, and had great ideas to add to our "picture". The day of the Bar Mitzvah went like a dream. There was NOTHING that was not taken care of. The service was at the grille. When we got there the tables were not arranged the way we wanted them. Immediately they corrected the problem without a word. I could not get over how lovely everyone was. There was just no NO in her vocabulary. If anyone is ever in need of a party planer I would not hesitate a moment. I only wish Michel was in LA so we could use her more often. She was amazing, adorable, sweet beyond imaginable. I have not one negative to say about the whole process, and it was a detailed process to say the least! It was totally a fun process due to Michel's calm and sweet manner. Michel and her team are hands down the absolute best! Throughout the planning process Michel was great! She was on the ball, attentive and always made herself available to us. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Michel was on top of every detail. Michel is the absolute BEST. She made my wedding day perfect. You can't put a price on your wedding day running completely smoothly (but lucky for us the price was awesome too!) and everything went off without a hitch. She was so thorough and met with me multiple times before the wedding, both in person and over the phone/skype. Having only 6 months to plan an out-of-town wedding could have been an extremely stressful situation, but Michel kept everything on track all throughout planning and through the big day. We wish we could give Michel 10 stars because she is a super hero! Seriously... she could wear a cape and go by "Wedding Woman" and we wouldn't question it for a second. From the initial call to the final toasts of the night, Michel insured that our wedding became more than we could ever imagined! We originally thought that we could do it all on our own - including the day of! HA! We can only imagine the disaster that would have been... instead we walked into our reception hall and our mouths dropped - was this really the same DIY decor that had been piled in our second bedroom for months? It was breathtaking and our guests are still talking about how amazing everything was! We hired Michel as a day of coordinator, but she was SOOOO much more. We both have been in/to many-a-wedding and have had first hand experience with day-of's who were less than stellar. They often seemed disconnected and unfamiliar with the vision that my friends had built up so big in their minds only to be somewhat disappointed when (a lot) of things didn't go as hoped. With Michel, this would never be a problem as she makes sure that she knows every detail of the wedding before the big day so there are no surprises. We did not hand Michel an easy task - a 3 day camping wedding in the Santa Barbara Mountains at Live Oak Campground... a beautiful venue but it is pretty much a blank canvas. In the months preparing for the wedding, Michel's calls were a lifesaver... no matter how much you think you know about weddings you do not know everything... Michel literally knows EVERYTHING! There would have been so many forgotten elements, missed opportunities and less amazing memories had it not been for her incredible insight and vision. She is also the most organized person we have ever met. She also provided references to vendors that saved us a ton on our budget and every single vendor we hired, including those from out of the area, loved working with her. We had the most magical day because we did not worry about one thing from the moment we woke up on the day of our wedding to very end of the night... and instead we got to fully enjoy the day and soak in all of the fun, beauty and love that surrounded us. If you are getting married in Central or Southern California - or heck - ANYWHERE -you need to hire this woman! Michel is incredible and I couldn't have imagined anyone better. She has a true talent when it comes to coordinating weddings and is there for you every step of the way. I thought I didn't need a coordinator but my fiancé insisted on it and WOW I don't know how I would've been able to do it without her. Our event had a high degree of difficulty - multiple venues, multiple vendors, etc., including a party on a beach with ice cream cart, tacos, surf camp, tons of rentals, and much more She pulled it off effortlessly. Not only that, she helped to create a day that many have told us is the single best party they've ever attended. Her ideas were inspired. Her vendors were wonderful.
