The storefront. It is located in between the now-closed Family Christian and the now-closed HHGregg.

For any of you who know, I am an artist specifically a portrait (and nudes) painter. Yep, I said it. Anyways, I am always looking for the best deals and variety when it comes to my work. Most artists like to go local. Me on the other hand likes to strike deals like a businessman. Ergo, Michael's will always be my go-to arts and crafts store because of what I am able to hustle there. The store I am talking about is located in Hammock Landing, the shopping center just west of I-95 on Palm Bay Rd. located in between the now-closed Family Christian and the now-closed HHGregg. Out of the Michael's I've been to, this one is big. Definitely bigger than the one in Viera. Anyways, a bigger store means more arts and crafts available for everyone. There really isn't much I can say that makes it any different from the other Michael's stores besides the wide array of products and services. I can probably say there are other shops and restaurants nearby so it can be part of a shopping day or outing. One little note before concluding. Not just for this Michael's but any Michael's, I suggest signing up for emails or the app. Though Michael's has plenty of excellent sales, especially on canvases, you can get the best deals through emailed and digital coupons.

Friendly staff and some great deals to be had. Great selection of oil painting mediums. They even stock gouache!

Today I would like to go back to get an item, as I really need it plus they have 50% coupon today, but I am seriously considering driving up to Viera.

If you're looking for a fun, beginner-friendly paint-your-own pottery studio, Get Fired Up Pottery…read moreis such a cute and creative experience. You get to pick your piece, choose your colors, and paint at your own pace, which makes it perfect whether you're planning a date, a girls' day, or a solo outing. I came by myself as a little self-care adventure and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. I got in my head at first, but I just wanted to feel like a kid again, and this place made that easy. The staff was kind, patient, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience feel extra special and stress-free. They guide you without hovering, and they're great at answering questions if you're not sure what to do next. Just a heads up: your piece needs to be fired, so it takes about a week to get it back, but it's totally worth the wait. If you want a relaxing, creative activity and a memorable keepsake at the end, Get Fired Up Pottery is absolutely worth visiting.

We made a reservation for four people and were very excited to paint some pottery. The young lady…read morewho greeted us, told us we would be sitting at table #8 as she pointed to it. She then told us to look on both sides of the long shelves and pick a ceramic piece that we wanted to paint. They had a nice variety of pottery to choose from. We each took our time selecting our pieces. They were pricier than we expected. I paid a little over $100 for two small pieces (a turtle & a sun). My sister paid about $27 for a small leaf dish to put small trinkets on. After we all had our pieces, the young woman came out from behind the counter, showed us were the brushes were, how to pick the colors we want to use, and told us that the colors will ultimately look like the colors on the wall. She then said to make sure we give it four coats of paint, then she let us begin. We had a lot of fun painting and talking amongst our group. We even were able to walk across the street to see the Artemis II blast off before going back in to finish painting. One improvement that we would like to see would be more interaction/assistance between the staff and the customers. We would have liked to be given more guidance as to how to paint some of the more intricate areas of the pottery pieces. I, for one, wasn't sure which brush was the best to use on certain areas which caused some frustration. I do hope to return sometime to see if these areas are addressed.
