Zero stars. My experience here yesterday with my 91 year old mother was very disappointing. The owner of this store was slick and deceitful. She has been a customer of his for years, and his antics yesterday sicken me. My mother tried on a shoe which was size 10B. She asked if there was a wider size, and he said "yes, we have a D width". So he comes back with a different size and places it on her foot. She says, "it doesn't look any wider." He says nothing. With her cane, she stands up and walks around, and ends up buying the $152 pair of New Balance shoes, which he claims he discounted to $139. When we got home to put the shoes on, she discovers that the shoes are actually a size 11B. See the photo where he rewrote the size on the box. An extra 1/2 inch on the front of a shoe causes everyone to trip...and would be a bone-breaker for her. Regarding the price, he wanted to look like a hero with his "discount" from $152 to $139. But this exact shoe is available everywhere else for $139. Trying to support the local businesses during COVID, but he just ruined it. read more
