I sent a Mother's Day ups gift to this Michaels. I showed up a few minutes late but the door was unlocked so I walked in. I immediately started hearing it from the manager I wish I remembered her name. She immediately threatened me that she should call the cops on me and was generally unpleasant. I explained that this was the only day I could pick it up before Sunday and traveled a long way to get there. She eventually gave me the package after giving me a mouthful which took her not even a minute to get from the cabinet. I appreciate that she finally gave it to me but definitely don't appreciate the grief I received to get it. Even though they were aware of the problem (because i did call in) they still reported me to the credit bureau!! You can not pay anywhere in person or in store and they still penalized me! I have found that the Michael's chain of craft type stores to be just meh. They have sales but their quality is very average to subpar IMO compared to their competitors. I haven't found anything that is really worth buying even though I did buy some holiday decorations once but I never used them. They eventually ended up in the closet. They just looked too cheap of quality. I guess I should just give them to the Salvation Army. They carry items for every holiday. Make your own jewelry items are not very exciting. Somethings look like they should be in a dollar store. Overall not a very exciting store IMO for crafts. They are in the Portofino shopping center. Today I saw a Buy 1 & get 1 for 50% off sign. So I put 8 items in my basket. After checking out I realized that I paid too much for those. So, I returned to the counter. The nice young lady said yes they were on sale but had to call a manager. He walked over to the Home Location for the items but I showed him where the rack was that I pulled the items from. Yes, the sale was good but Apparently they stock Clearance and Sale together on the same cart. Like Bait & Switch tactics, this is deceiving to customers! They expect people to get down on the floor to read the fine print on the sign that's on the bottom shelf... that says except clearance items. This half ass manager was Very condescending in his explanation of that's why the sign was on the bottom shelf. This is a piss poor way to do business and Michaels should be ashamed and so should this so called Manager. I now know how they can compete with hobby lobby because they charge 20% Fee on returns even with receipt and tags. Disgusting. I will never shop at michaels again. That's insane. Restocking?? I like the selection at Michaels and their prices are fair. They have a little bit of everything craft related. I love their Halloween selection and that they carry Spooky Town. You can always find a coupon to save 40% off of regular price items. Even though Hobby Lobby is much bigger, I feel like Michaels has a better variety of Halloween merchandise, children's books and scrapbooking materials. Another plus is that the line doesn't get as bad as it does at Hobby Lobby. Also, Michaels is open on Sunday. read more

Good location; friendly staff. I bought a picture frame that was marked $41 and it rang up $60. The cashier didn't catch it until I mentioned it. She said I had to use an internet coupon to get the price that was listed on the shelf! So I did, but it seems a bit dicey situation to have one price on the shelf and the computer has a much higher price. The cashier was very nice and helpful though. Michael's has an adequate selection of arts and craft items as well as floral supplies. I have used the framing department in this store and I was very pleased with the quality of the service and the work that was done. Aside from the framing department, I generally have found the service at Michael's to be mediocre. I find Michael's to be a bit more pricey than Hobby Lobby. read more

This location in particular has long lines with few checkers on a continual basis and the checkout process is a lengthy one. The one employee I encountered today at the store was talking with another employee about a personal event coming up all the while 9 customers were herded into one line. After 3 of those got checked out, the talking employee motioned for the next guest which was me. She continued the personal conversation for most of the time while checking me out. The Michael's coupon on my app was not loading on my phone and basically she said if it wouldn't load then there would be no discount. After talking to someone else, I was able to get the 40% off one reg price item. If this employee cared as much about the customer as her conversation, I know this could have been resolved without an intervention. My business will now be taken to Joann's, Hobby Lobby or Amazon for future craft purchases. read more
