I was minding my own business, with my free hand in my pocket the entire visit, and looking for a certain colour before looking at the needles and trying to figure out what kind I wanted. No one came to help me or ask me questions. I decided to leave after five minutes so I could go and catch the bus home. Upon leaving, I was confronted in front of the place that sells pictures and the woman demanded loudly that I open my bag. I told her that I hadn't taken anything and that my hand was in my pocket the whole time, but she wasn't listening. I have a sling on my arm from an injury I received two weeks ago and couldn't get the bag opened straight away. The bag had been closed the entire time I was in the store and there was no way I could have put anything in it without looking highly suspicious. Once I opened the bag she proceeded to rip it open and looked inside before just walking away without an apology. I feel that this was completely unprofessional to be treated like a criminal in a public place where I frequent every day, and because of the way she treated me I will no longer step foot in your store because of how emotionally traumatizing it was. I have never stolen any thing in my life and to be treated like it, it isn't right.

There is so much to find and the store owner is very knowledgeable and will help find the best yarn for your project that works best for your budget. Price is a bit higher than the other local yarn stores, so, I didn't buy much from them, unless I couldn't find such yarn in other stores. They do have a special discount section at the back of the store, it's worth to go and check them out. It's really a good deal! I bought some JOY yarn over there with very good deal! They have lots of magazine back issues, it's great to check them out. However, they don't have many pattern books, and not very updated too. You can see the store front from the roads if you're looking towards the plaza. The sign is done in a pretty font befitting its name. There's plenty of free parking. The lot is accessible from Steeles. The store looks deceptively small from the outside. It's long, and has a second floor. This specialty shop has just about anything you may require for all your sewing and thread craft needs. Not only will you find supplies, you will be able to avail yourself of the knowledge the owner and staff can share. In fact, they teach their own classes here. When we came in looking for a new pair of scissors, we enjoyed browsing the books, patterns, and accessories as well. We did find that it's a little more expensive for some things than going to the Fabricland up Weston Road, but we enjoyed the better atmosphere and the satisfaction of supporting a local business. If you don't want the sterile shopping experience of a chain like Fabricland, this place is for you. The inspiration and knowledge you will come away with from here instead make it worth repeat returns.

I noticed that patterns and needles are more of mainstream variety. The store is well organized and lots of space. The staff appeared friendly and willing to be helpful. If you live in the area and you have no other choice this store will be fine . But I would not drive out of my way to check this particular store if you're looking for your yarns dyed by local artisans. They do appear to have a good selection of buttons and all accessories you require for knitting.
