Lots of potential at this yarn store. Although in a industrial type complex. It has a very open and light fill studio space. Most of the yarns are of a major brand type not the local yarn hand dyed variety that I am more inclined to appreciate. Brands that you may find include Malabrigo, Noro and Louisa Harding. I noticed that patterns and needles are more of mainstream variety. The store is well organized and lots of space. The staff appeared friendly and willing to be helpful. If you live in the area and you have no other choice this store will be fine . But I would not drive out of my way to check this particular store if you're looking for your yarns dyed by local artisans. Cute little yarn shop on bracebridge. Wish they had more mirasol yarns to choose from though. Staff was very helpful and I am pleased with the lace scarf pattern I got. Can't wait to go there again when I visit the cottage! read more

Visited here while cottaging in Baysville. The store had a good selection of higher quality yarn but only one crochet hook! They were waiting on a shipment. It was easy to find and had good service. Will definitely be making more trips out there for my projects while on vacation. read more

Muskoka Yarn Connection relocated to a new location at 345 Ecclestone Drive, Unit 46 on June 1, 2016. The new location is big, bright and very welcoming. It is a bit hard to find though as it is on the side of an industrial building towards the back of the building but it's worth hunting for and there's tons of parking. Yarns are displayed in big cubbys with prices clearly marked. There are a few kits available a s well. Yarn selection is quite good with more yarns coming in. This is a wonderful gem located in cottage country. I'll definately be back. I bought a kit (4 skeins plus pattern) and a few skeins of sock yarn. Prices are very reasonable and staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. read more
