I read these negative reviews and can only think that something is amiss with these people that have written these reviews. I have been shopping at this No Frills location for over 4 years now and I have had no such issues. I have had (albeit rarely) produce that seems to be getting older and they have never denied me a replacement. Additionally, anyone that suggests that they are racist is full of it! The staff is very diversified with many Philippino staff, African, Caucasian, Indian, Asian and they are all extremely helpful!! The prices are great, the quality is very good for the price and I no longer go anywhere else. I have also shopped at the other No Frills in Langley as well as the No Frills on Hastings in Vancouver (near my work) and they are all equally good. read more

I went into this store Yesterday August 31. This is the second time I have been here and I have to say not a good visit again. The totally Black Bananas, Black Green Beans and then we here a kid in the next isle say Mommy look they have mice running around. Sure enough they do then we have 3 employees running around to catch them with brooms a litter pickup bucket. read more

As usual Michael's No Frills loses! I went to purchase some ice cream today. The price on the shelf said $5. The item scanned at $8. I called the attendant over to inform her that this item has scanned incorrectly and, as per the Scanner Code of Practice which "ensures that consumers are charged the correct price at checkout, with retailers offering a free item (up to $10) or a $10 discount if the scanned price is higher than the displayed price", I should get this item for no charge. She goes to check the price, then she calls a man to come and check the price, then he removes the price from the shelf as it apparently was to be changed, however was not. I reiterate that this item should be given at no charge. She calls yet another woman over who argues with me and tells me that if items are past a particular date, the customer does not get it for free. WT actual F? I told her to take it back. She continues to argue, I tell her to TAKE IT BACK. Not all of us have money to burn and these THREE people have taken up so much time that the damn ice cream is half melted as it is. This No Frills never fails to disappoint. Walmart has honored this more than once. Michael's No Frills clearly has no ethics whatsoever. This store isn't worth the convenience of them being so close to where I live, however, it comforts me to know they will be torn down due to the up-coming redevelopment. read more

Great store great prices friendly Staff and a good cheap place to shop for my mum and myself

My sister and I came into this no frills location on February 5th and we will never be back again. We were targeted by one of the female employees simply because me and my sister are not white. When we came into the store a middle aged female employee with medium length black curly hair began stalking and following my sister and I, we tried to ignore it but we began feeling very unsafe and threatened. Please do not go to this location If you're a person of colour, I wouldn't want anyone to endure what me and my sister had too. read more

A meat and potatoe store, good prices especially when sales are on. I have found the staff friendly, eye contact, and smiling. You can find items like figs. Where else can you find tinned soup at 21 cents a can? Yes they do sell out quickly on the sale items. This store is located in a heavy senior area. I will keep going back, who doesn't want to save money? read more

A couple weeks ago, when I went to get some apples and I was ready to check out, I overheard one of the employees talking. She was an older Caucasian skinny lady with short hair. She was talking in an awfully bad manner. This isn't an appropriate environment Where I would want to take my kids to.Doesn't seem like she was being a good example and it made the store look bad. I don't know if I'm going back, this lady isn't a good image for the company. read more

The cashiers are friendly and it's a convenient store. Walking distances to bus stops and an outdoor parking lot. Easy to find and the area is clean and safe. It's not the biggest store so some of the products would be limited but it's good for everyday or basic food and its quality is decent too read more

I am very unhappy with the service of the store in Langley today. We spent $252 in there yesterday. I had a package of field greens, that have not expired, but when I got home yesterday found that it was rotten on the inside. I took it back today, was told there was no returns. The gentleman on the door was very helpful, as was the first cashier. I spoke to a lady in glasses at the front (referred to her by the cashier), who reiterated that they are not accepting any returns. I said I get that however this is rotten on the inside, and I just want to exchange this one for that one (I had picked up a new package). She said no. So what does that mean? Am I supposed to go in there and open up all of the plastic packages of field greens & poke through them to make sure they aren't rotten inside before I buy them? That appears to be not a good thing to do, and especially not at this time. While I understand the no return policy, I believe that she could see my receipt in my hand, and the replacement that I wanted & could have just asked me to throw the old one out (wherever she told me) and let me take the new one, all without touching anything.. VERY POOR SERVICE! And I will not shop there again. read more

Michael's No Frills - Total I spent in the store yesterday. - Grocery Near Me - Langley, British Columbia

If they actually had what is advertised in stock this store would be great. They never order enough, so it's frustrating going in and finding out everything you want from the too-good to be true flyer is sold out. I recently had a horrible experience with a cashier. I was disgusted at her lack of customer service. I went through her till the other day and she didn't say hello, please or thank you or make ANY eye contact. Sweet Jesus. Totally unprofessional. She obviously hates her job, and clearly needs a new one. Another downside to this store is they often have incorrect pricing on the shelves. Would be nice if they had a price scanner. If they can't display the correct prices at least let the customers find out before they get to the till. read more

This store is very convenient for the neighbourhood, has great deals on many items each week (not talking like ten cents off but usually between 40-60% off the sticker price), very well lit and friendly staff, and fully stocked shelves all the time. Highly recommend this place for your grocery shopping. read more

I go there when I run out of something, but not for my regular shopping. This store is good for the elderly in the area. There are many things they don't have if you need specialty items. There cashiers are very slow and inefficient. They seem t have a high turnover of staff. They used to have a security guard. Since they got rid of him, there seems to be lots of riffraff hanging around at night. read more

I like the pricing and diversity of products. It is convenient when you are in the area. It's cheap and I can collect PC points now which is good. Last time I went, they had security which is very important. The area seems to require security. If they did not have security, I would not go there as often. cashiers are nice; I Wish more people would be respectful and kinder to those who work in the service industry, it isn't always easy pleasing every customer, especially if they are unreasonable. I appreciate the selection, the pricing, and the location of this store. read more

Only thing i dont like is the line ups at the tills but this is just getting picky cause the selection and pricing is unbeatable and when you do get to the tills the staff are fast friendly and helpful ..its our families go to store always read more

Just moved to the area and was thrilled to find a No Frills store. Prices are great, good selection. The staff are friendly and helpful and always greet me with a smile. Would like to see more PC Blue Menu items but this is still my grocery store of choice, due to the lower prices, friendly staff, and cleanliness of the store. Give it a try - your wallet will thank you! read more

Miserable staff. Rude to customers. went through checkout tonight and checker didn't ask and I forgot to ask for bags. When I went to started bagging realized I needed bags and asked and she just mumbled some rude and then turned her back and started checking out next person. Now I don't mind paying for the bags but she didn't ask- which the checkers always do and there is no reason to be rude. there were no boxes so I just threw everything back in my cart and walked out. Had to bag when I got home. store 2 minutes from my house but won't be back. Usually visit there at least twice a week. They seem to forget there's plenty of other store to choose. Back to Wally world for me. read more

On a tight budget? This is the place to get the biggest bang for your buck. True, some items may be lower priced elsewhere but overall on a full shopping trip this store will save you the most. If you are a picky brand selector this may or may not be the place to shop but then if you can afford that style of shopping you likely don't consider the bottom line to be the most important part of shopping, no insult intended here. I have product price comparison lists for the local stores on products I regularly purchase so this review is not without scrutiny. read more
