Fixed some watches for me that I bought from an estate sale. Friendly, fast and very affordable.

This is my second review for Ken. My brother purchased a clock while serving in Germany in 1958 for…read moreour mother. The clock stopped running several years ago and now my brother wanted it working again and could not find anyone that could repair it. I called Ken and describe the clock over the phone. When I described to Ken the manufacture and clock movement, he immediately described the rest of the clock, amazing, this clock is 58 years old. Bottom line is, I took it to Ken, he had a manufactures repair book on this clock! On a follow up call, Ken had it running within day's. We mutually agreed to leave it with Ken for an additional week to make sure it was good. I'm happy to say, the clock has been running to be passed on in my brothers family. Thanks Ken!

I feel like I hit the jackpot when I decided to have Ken Wallace of Antique Clock Repair service my clock! Mr. Wallace has been in the antique clock repair business for twenty years and his knowledge and enthusiasm for timepieces is extraordinary. When Mr. Wallace came to my home to service the clock he found that my clock had some issues which made it difficult to remove the mechanism. I was very impressed with how meticulous and patient Ken was as he worked out a solution and lubricated the works. In addition to servicing my grandfather's clock Ken also helped me to get a very old mantle clock running that I had inherited from my grandfather. After all of the excellent work that Mr. Wallace performed I found his price for service was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this business!

Nick arrived on time, explained a little bit about how he approaches the repair, what the cost might be and what worst case scenarios would be, and I let him go to work. Of the 35 years we've owned it, it only was running, intentionally, for maybe 15 years, so there was not a lot of wear and tear. Nick went through the entire clockworks, reattached weights, went through all the chime and moon sequences, then synced the pendulum to keep time within a tight specification with the use of some sort of electronic device (I did not get the name). He cleaned and lubricated the clock workings, and was probably done within an hour. His fee was extremely reasonable, 1/5 the amount of the highest bid that I had received to date. Finally, Nick is personable and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Just be careful, he seems nice enough, just be careful, get everything in WRITTING. I have to keep learning these lessons.
