I've gone to this store 4 different times. To get help is like pulling teeth! NO ONE is ever around. The last time I couldn't even find a cashier! I saw a couple of other shoppers milling around but NO employees. It was a ghost town! I needed help with paint, of which I know nothing except for the color that I wanted. Each of 4 visits have been frustrating. So IF I HAVE to go to a Michael's again I'll certainly go to a different one, one further away from me unfortunately. But now, I'll probably try Amazon 1st. read more

Very large, clean, and organized. I've shopped here as well as used the same day in-store pick up after buying online feature. When I'm in a hurry, the in-store pick up is awesome (keeps me from browsing what I'm not there for)! Staff are friendly and helpful. Loss of a star is associated with register lines, sometimes the wait can be a bit much. read more

I was in the area, and decided to check out this Michael's location rather than go to the location I was planning to. They had all of the basics one expects to find at a craft store. Michael's also carries gifts, and holiday decorations. For being there not long after they opened, the store was not particularly clean. A number of products were on the floor. Not because they were intentionally put there to be restocked, but people dropped them there, or they got knocked off the shelf the day before, and they were waiting to be put back. Several products did not have prices. There were several buy one get one sales going on. I was passed by several employees. None of them greeted me or asked if I needed help finding anything. At one point I was standing next to two employees. One associate told the other "I'm going to walk around and look like I'm busy." The cashier on the other hand was friendly. She asked if I found everything I was looking for. She also inquired if I was a rewards member. She made sure to bag items with care. read more

For a long time this was my go to Michael's, being right near my old house. Can't believe I never reviewed it! I still pop in from time to time when nextdoor at Costco. I came on this Thursday looking to browse the St Patty's stuff! Mason Michaels is a decent size store. It is a little bit outdated compared to the more updated West Chester location. The plus side is it is always well stocked and organized. The employees are very nice here. There are price scanners scattered throughout to check on the usually deep discounts they are offering. Make sure to pull up coupons on your phone at checkout as something is always available. Some good clearance finds are available in this store too! I have had professional framing done at this location and was very pleased with the customer service, cost, and finished product. There is so much at Michael's even if you aren't a crafter. They have a very nice section of home decor, especially seasonal or farmhouse style. Ribbon, faux floral, wedding goodies, painting, frames, jewelry, scrapbooking, kids craft kits, and baskets are a few of the many categories. Of all the craft store choices, I prefer Michael's. read more

I went in to have something frames... which was fine. The reason I will not return is they told me that they had to have my email to let me know when the item was completed. I told them that I wanted NO ads or communications from them, the only one was to let me know when the piece was completed. Now I get 3-5 adds per week, when I called the store they said they couldn't do anything. I unsubscribed on the site, but they said it would take 3 - 4 weeks to take affect. I like Michaels a lot. As far as craft/hobby stores gors, it's pretty great. I prefer the selection of the nearby Joanne's or Hobby Lobby- but the prices at Michael's are much more reasonable than Hobby Lobby for most things. This store has most of the stuff I've come to expect for a store like this, however, I can almost never find anyone who works here. The staff is not rude, their just missing...ha ha. All in all, I like it. But I just like other stores, especially in the area, better. But, I will always make a stop just in case they have that one thing I can't live without. read more

Michaels carries a wide range of craft supplies, although they do lack a real fabric area. Additionally, they offer a nice floral area, wedding aisles, and a very nice seasonal selection leading up to many holidays throughout the year. The floral area offers a lot of centerpieces, wreaths, and the like, and you can get a great deal on such items when they go on clearance - it's well worth a look if you are in search of one. Michaels offers a lot of weekly coupons, and they are able to scan them from your phone, in addition to their regular sales. There is also often a clearance aisle that carries a variety of marked down items at any given time. Parking at this location is widely available in the shopping center lot. This is also a nice location if you have more shopping to do, since it is near Target, Costco, and other stores. read more

But upon check out, the cashier carelessly dropped it and knocked it on the floor and had no care. Just said "oh sorry, was that the last one?" and I replied with, "that was the last one. My friend and I went to Michaels to pick up some expensive resin and on the sign it clearly says, "we'll bring the order right to your trunk". The lady working was extremely rude and when she brought out our order she just flipped it on an empty table sitting outside without even saying A WORD & and one of the boxes had broken open. She gave us no instructions, she did not tell us if that was even our order, she did not tell us it was all of, absolutely no help at all. Hard to find anyone to help you - when you do find a cluster of employees, they are quick to scurry away - no one really wants to engage. Today was the worst as all of their credit card machines were down so no way to use a 25% coupon and I was told by the girl at the register that I had to come back in by 9 to use it. I asked her if I could call to get it done and she said I could. When I called back to order, they didnt like it and I asked to talk to a manager when I asked to use the coupon tomorrow, she hung up on me. I called back and was able to talk to a manager, Susan, but really got nowhere. Have decided I really didnt need any of the items that I cant find elsewhere. read more

I just made a quick stop in today for a frame, just because Michael's is the only store that sells the matching ones to my other concert poster frames. Typically, I shop at a competitor, however, for this particular frame, you gotta do what you gotta do. This store seems to be a little disorganized and messy. I think this particular store could use a makeover, just to tidy it up and freshen up the overall feel of the store. It was pretty empty and I only saw two associates working, one in framing and one at the register. I was standing in line waiting to check out, I saw the "$2.00 grab bag bin" so I peeked in and got a great bargain for a gift. Tons of arts and craft items for $2.00 buck-o-roos, so score me, Yay! This particular Michaels is really old, hard to find things in and understaffed. It has about all the things you'd expect of a Michaels but just disorganized. I came in looking for contact paper and a special etching acid, but not only was nothing where logical sense would suggest it would be, but there was no staff around to help. So, on a treasure hunt I went. Eventually I did find what I was looking for, but I found that there was only one bottle left of the etching acid and it had been opened already (seriously?!) and still being sold at full price. Not that I would have bought it anyway, but if you're going to restock clearly opened items you should at least mark them down. Either way, I decided to go elsewhere. There's a better Michaels over in the Voice of America center off Tylersville road or a Jo Ann a little closer on Mason-Montgomery, they would probably be your best bet for any craft/arts projects you've got. read more

Nice Michael's store they are friendly and have great crafting supplies. The prices are nice and very reasonable. The place could improve on the cleanliness of the windows on the outside of the store as dead bugs are on the outside which is not a very nice welcome. The restrooms are very clean and in a good location in the store. The way they have items in the checkout are very convient. read more

Michaels has been my go-to craft store since the days of school projects in middle school and now that I am a homeowner, my wife and I seem to frequent this place all the time. The selection is always really good, and it seems like everything is always on sale (which is a good and bad thing...) I would recommend getting their mobile app so that you can use the weekly coupons (full price items only), the cashiers can scan the coupon right from your device. read more

Took my daughter because she wanted to start some Christmas gifts for he r cousins. If she had printed coupons from their website we would have spent half of what she spent. But she didn't want to wait and it was her money. They have everything. Prices are okay. Better if it's on sale. Aisles are stocked so full that it's hard to find things. Feels overwhelming and uncomfortable. But, so do their competitors. Store was empty and staff avoided eye contact even when we asked for help. Weird.
