For example, the Tombow Adhesive Refills were cheaper than the ones you could find on Amazon while the masking tape seems to more expensive than other places (like Walmart Deserres, and Canadian Tire from my basic Googling).

I considered it a treat going there. Linda is not only amazingly talented she is incredibly helpful. I tell her what I want and she puts the package together without me even having to think. lol. At first I was heartbroken when I learnt she was moving her store to Orangeville but now it is even a bigger treat to go to see her at her store. I am so happy for Linda and her new digs. She still puts everything together for me,knows my taste and lets me know when a yarn she knows I will love comes in. Now my biggest fear is if she ever retires. My friend and I booked through an Instagram direct message and went during their "buy one, get one free" promotion for the fluid bear. The bears come in many sizes, and prices increase accordingly (keychain $22, 7" $58, 9" $68, 13" $108, 21" $168, 1 mini bear and canvas $38, and 2 mini bears and canvas $48). On the website, it also lists how long each project is expected to take. They also have pom-pom canvases and bags. The pom-pom canvases are: 8 x 8" $58, 12 x 12" $68, 18" x 18" $88, 18" x 23" $108, 23" x 23" $168, and 40" x 40" $328. The pom-pom bags are: A4 $88, A3 $108, and B5 $68. When we arrived and checked in for our reservation, an employee showed us the different-sized bears, and there were even some that were sitting or leaning back in addition to the standing ones. He gave us some time to decide, and then we also chose paint colours. We weren't sure what colours we wanted, so he showed us photos of previous customers' projects. We were set up at a table with aprons, our chosen paint colours, our bear on a tray, and even given a hair tie if we didn't have one with us to keep our hair out of the way. The employee showed us how to pour and mix our different paint colours and then pour them on our bears. The first pour was definitely the best one for me. The colours and patterns were astounding. Sometimes the paint doesn't completely cover the bear as it drips down, so they provide a plastic spoon to fill in those spots. The last thing before paying was deciding whether or not we wanted the bears to have a matte or gloss finish. Also, there's no tax if you pay in cash. We were informed that our bears would be ready for pickup in two to three days, and I did get a text informing me that our bears were ready within two days. I wasn't sure how to transport my finished bear home. We made our own pieces took them home to dry to 6-8 week then came back to paint our pieces. Be sure to check their website beforehand because they usually have some type of promotional going on. For the matcha bowl it was only $25 per person for 1 lb of clay and the instructor takes you through how to make it. For the painting we only paid $10 per piece and they also glaze and fire for you so you can actually use your pieces. The staff is always very kind and accommodating. Usually their classes and painting is one hour but they let us stay longer with any additional charges. Even if you are a beginner like me and mess up they will help you fix your pieces so don't worry. Definitely very worth it! Recommended coming if you're looking for an artsy activity. Art ventures has multiple location this is the Bay and Dundas location. They offer different pottery class from beginner class with instructors to advance ones. You can always paint your own pottery that you make. They also have already made pottery if you just want to paint a piece. You do have to book before going so make sure you book online or over the phone.

Items for sale were all reasonably priced and there were around 160 vendors. It took awhile to decide what I wanted/needed to buy. Finally bought 3 stained glass flowers ($5 ea) to put in my planters and a pretty necklace ($18). I wanted another necklace but it had no price and there was no answer from the artist after the cashier tried to get a hold of them which is a shame because they lost a sale). You can see the store front from the roads if you're looking towards the plaza. The sign is done in a pretty font befitting its name. There's plenty of free parking. The lot is accessible from Steeles. The store looks deceptively small from the outside. It's long, and has a second floor. This specialty shop has just about anything you may require for all your sewing and thread craft needs. Not only will you find supplies, you will be able to avail yourself of the knowledge the owner and staff can share. In fact, they teach their own classes here. When we came in looking for a new pair of scissors, we enjoyed browsing the books, patterns, and accessories as well. We did find that it's a little more expensive for some things than going to the Fabricland up Weston Road, but we enjoyed the better atmosphere and the satisfaction of supporting a local business. If you don't want the sterile shopping experience of a chain like Fabricland, this place is for you.
