Had worst in store experience ever no thanks to actions and poor attitude of current manager Richard. Because during past visits the self checkout has malfunctioned I chose to go to checkout which is normally attended. Didn't realize Richard who was chatting up customer at self checkout was only staff member in sight. Waited patiently he strolls over to me doesn't go behind register to wait on me starts lecturing me on self checkout. So I explained prior negative experiences and he comes across as condescending and arrogant and starts " trash talking" a woman who had previously " yelled at him". Now I am wondering if anyone who disagrees with him is described that way? Proceeds to try to impress me as he is manager. When I replied I had previously worked in corporate environment member of executive management for financial institution he said " I didn't mean to compare resumes" to which I replied " it seemed as if you did". Rude arrogant condescending lacks any customer service skills. Regional supervisor needs to get involved asap as he is running off loyal customers! read more

Store was low on inventory the day I shopped there, and line to checkout was long. The store needed more than three cashiers working during the Christmas holidays. I went through the line at 1:45 pm and produced a coupon for an additional 20 percent off my entire purchase. The coupon did not go into effect until 3 pm. REALLY???? So glad a Hobby Lobby is opening in Boone in January 2019! Their coupons are good all day long, so I will shop there in the future. read more

As an artist and photographer it's one of the places I go to for needed supplies for paintings and to create props for photo shoots. Was looking around the flowers section and there was a working making arrangements to have the store sell. Well I was in one spot for quite some time not once asked if I needed help (plus the side that has the feathers and other things for larger arrangements) was a mess. I had to move things to find what I was looking for. Plus all the other times I have gone here the shelves are never properly stocked. And when you go online to get an idea of what your going to buy and how much you'll spend and see that it's in the store and when you get there within the hour of checking the store has non. I may not have worked retail but I was raised by one who had worked retail for 20+ years and know how to stock a shelf. Also on that note I have tried to get a job at this location for two years since I know a lot about arts and crafts. Saw a customer as a worker there about what they should get for a project they where doing and the worker had no idea what they should do, and left the customer there lost on what to do. I was asked by said customer and gave my thoughts on what kind of paint they should use and was told I was helpful then the worker. read more

Framing: don't do it here. Stay away. Literally the most absurd series of screw ups and it's all because the staff doesn't communicate and quite frankly have no what they're doing. I can't even begin to detail what happened....But let's say I finally walked away defeated after visiting the store six times to pick it up, only be turned away EACH TIME because it wasn't ready (yes I also called to confirm); i was over charged and they couldn't figure out how to refund me so I had to cancel one of the charges with my credit card company; finally picked it up a week after it was supposed to be ready, and they had put the wrong frame on it. Helpful staff, and they've always had the products I've needed. Standard Michael's quality in a convenient location in Walmart plaza.

Imagine as a shopper entering a store and not only finding everything that you are looking for (all on sale!) and fully stocked shelves....pinch me....no wait. I need some assistance so hubby rustles up the sweetest young lady to help me. I was looking for canvas that was right in front of me... :) Sarah (the young sales lady) not only found me the proper size canvas but asked me if she could help in any other way. She didn't run off and hide, or act like we were in her way. She took the time to actually make sure we were satisfied. This might sound corny, but it is missing in so many businesses. Not 3 minutes after Sarah walked off I realized that the ittie-bitty watercolor paint that I needed was in a locked case.....yeah, at $16.00 for a teenie tube, I can see why!) Once again hubby fetched Sarah and she still had the sweet smile on her face. She wasn't fazed at all and continued to satisfy the customers (that would be us :) ) Thanks again, Sarah! You rock!
