I dropped a few pay checks here on merch, like tshirts, jewelry, signs, magnets, stickers, Christmas ornaments, postcards, etc... They got it all! Highly worth your time and a quick tripod , while you're at the Gorge There's also an icecream / cafe thing connected, and you don't want to miss that! Unless you can't have dairy, then maybe you do! Anyways, I can't rave about this place enough. Buyer beware: there's too many good options. If you fall victim to being indecisive, on a budget, impulsive, or anything in between, I highly encourage you to go with a pal, find a bear, consult a mountain lion, have a park ranger escort your shopping - just DO NOT go in here alone. I was living for their selection of shirts. My whole personality and wardrobe is a new style trend I'm coining "New River" fashion.

Glad spring is a town of not much, and I've never really had a desire to visit it. A few months…read moreago, I was searching the area for clothing stores and found Fiddlehead on Facebook. Recently, they expanded services by adding on to the store with a full spa. So when it was posted that openings were available on a Saturday for a massage-- I booked. I'm the kind of girl who doesn't treat myself too often to self care- although I know I would benefit from it. So when I do take the time, I want the experience to be top notch. The location of Fiddlehead is in a town square that doesn't look like it gets very busy. The shop lays on the corner next to a hardware store that also sells fishing supplies. Walking in, the spa is warm and inviting. Soft music leaks from the hidden treatment rooms and gives the ambiance that is needed to feel at home. Clothing racks line in between the rooms, which give the waiting customer a nice browsing opportunity while you wait. The back has a salon area that's waiting to be filled with stylists.. the owner told me she hopes to hire soon since the demand is very high. (Contact her if you know someone looking!) Now the treatment... I got a 60 min unclothed massage.. and they offer clothes for those who are shy to be undressed. However the massage man (I missed his name..) is very professional and makes sure the drape is properly adjusted. I prefer skin to skin contact for maximum warmth, but it's nice to offer it both ways. The massage man is GOOD. He gives enough pressure to alleviate any knots but not so much that it's painful. He is an expert at locating every possible source of pent up stress and relieving it. I had a knot in my wrist (which I didn't know about..) and he managed it with oscillations and depth. After the massage, I was given a chance to try the red light therapy bed for free. It reminds me of a tanning bed, without the harmful UVA lights. Waves crashing are played while you relax and I fell asleep several times. It was ultimately very refreshing and rejuvenating. Red light promotes cell production, collagen restoration, inflammation in the body and to help cure the seasonal depression. Beautiful place, with skilled hands and great treatment options. I will definitely be back for more!

They recently started offering massage services, and the massage therapist, David, is a magician! He gives the right an mount of pressure (therapeutic but not to hard) and knows how to find every little hidden knot to work them out. I have myofascial pain syndrome, with resultant trigger points, and he is amazing at working out those knots.
