7/7/2024 My sister had a very rude encounter with this male employee, my sister went in to purchase a frame and a few other things she had a 30% off coupon for frames. The employee ROLLED HIS EYES because my sister asked to do a separate transaction so she could apply her coupon. I went ahead and paid for others things in the self checkout. For whatever reason the coupon was not working, which the coupon had a barcode and was not expired, the employee ROLLED HIS EYES and said the best I can do is 10%! My sister politely ask to speak to his manager, the young lady came and said oh yeah this not sale item we can apply the 30% perfect that's all sister needed. The lady walked away, the employee then CRINKLED my sister receipt and handed it to her. I don't know if the person was having a bad day or just hates there job, regardless there was no reason to be disrespectful. He shouldn't be working in customer service. read more

My watch was still on San Diego time, LOL, so I forgot how late it was and got there about 15 minutes before they closed. Fortunately I'm familiar enough with their merchandise that I was able to run for the section I wanted, found at least some of what I went after, threw it in my basket, lucked out on some sales and finding a 50% off coupon from Joann's on my phone, plus 40% to 50% off a couple of rubber stamping items, ink pads , peacock stamp, paper. I hurried back up to the counter and paid for my items so the girls could go home. I was surprised this location had no pictures and no reviews on Yelp. I was afraid maybe it was an old location that hadn't ever been reported as closed. After going inside it I wondered if instead it was a newer location because it had the look of a new store and had a great selection. Because I was running so late I didn't have a chance to ask any Clerks. The store is not very visible from the street and I passed right by the shopping area it was in the first time. After stopping in Braums Ice Cream for a small sundae I doubled back to this location expecting there to be no Michaels here. Fortunately for me I found it. I think this will be a fairly close location to the area I stay in while in town so I will probably be back when I have a better idea what yarn I need to go with the fleece I just bought at Hobby Lobby. read more

Services is quite unbelievable. Went to the store one time and the employees would give you looks. They don't even have what they say they have and when you ask them something they say it in a not very nice way like a way where you think they're being mean. read more

My boyfriend & i went in to get some mod pudge while we were there we got followed by 2 employees the WHOLE time. mind you we didn't know where to look for the things we came in for so instead of them asking if we needed help to find what we were looking for no they just followed us around. i don't like to be accused of anything or followed like that.& while we were looking for the mod pudge there were 2 other lady's by us & they were not followed like us. bad bad service! read more

My first time walking in to this store, and I will say it was filthy. The staff is nice and friendly but I don't think they care about the actual appearance of the store. And the restroom toilets & sinks were filthy. Not too gross people out but the floor had blood, toilet bowel was in serious need of scrubbing and the sinks well I've been in mechanic shops that are cleaner. Very disappointed as a paying customer with THIS store in Amarillo, TX. read more

Michael's always has great deals and online coupons. I just wish this Michael's carried a few more items in store like the Michael's in bigger cities do. I have ordered a few things online and selected in store pick up and it was an absolute nightmare. The in store pick up is in framing and no one is ever zoned there. The last time I did a store pick up, like usual, no one was there so I asked a cashier to send help for my order. Her only response was, "no one is working in frames today." She didn't even listen to what I needed. This is a good place as long as you don't need help from employees. read more

I love Michael's and usually have a good experience, but not today. It's Thursday and they get their truck in on Thursday. I asked when they would stock the shirts because it was very bare and the lady told me they stock shirts on Friday. What??? Any other time the shelves are empty an employee has gone through the boxes to find what I'm looking for. Usually great customer service, but unfortunately not today. read more

I usually love going to Michaels, but not today. Upon checking out, I presented the cashier with a coupon I had received on my email from Michaels. I showed her the coupon, and she snapped and was extremely rude. "This is not a coupon. You have to click this button", in a presumptuous tone that conveyed her negative thoughts about me. She continued to snatch my iPhone from my grip and without consent, clicked into the coupon. Then, under her breath she grunted about how she could only scan a barcode and not type in the 5 digit code that I originally presented her (as if I was supposed to read her mind). Shortly after, she hesitated in bagging a fragile mug that I had purchased, when I said yes please, she then threw the mug into the plastic bag without paper wrapping. I hope it isn't chipped.
