I landed in London today and desperately needed an intervention on my plane hair…read more After reading reviews of other Blow lads, I specifically asked if they could do weaves before I made my appointment. Someone named Natasha replied yes, but I would need 40 minutes. No problem. Appointment made. I arrived at 6 minutes past the hour because they neglected to tell me they were inside Debenham's, and it took a couple minutes to find them once finally inside. After the person who answered spent another four minutes helping another customer, she finally returned and told me I had been 10 minutes late and they would have to curl my hair dry, as they no longer had time to shampoo and blow dry it first, else her and her colleague would both be late for their next appointments. I've never heard of shampoo and blow dry taking 10 minutes, and the reasoning for insisting they could only provide a different service from the one I had requested was dubious at best. But I was already there, so I said okay, which is probably what they were counting on. Ended up paying 30 pounds just to get my hair badly curled, with no effort made to blend the weave in with my natural hair. Total waste of money - the shampoo and blow dry steps are the value add. I can curl my hair myself, and much better at that. And by the time I was leaving, there was one more customer but two hair dressers, one of whom was now idle. They could totally have honored my initial appointment. Never coming back here again.

Dora was so nice and kind and worked magic on my hair. I let Dora cut my ends so that my hair can look good . I never just let anyone cut my hair because it is very difficult hair to work with and have had supposedly really good stylists in the New York City area mess it up, but I felt very comfortable with Dora. My hair looked fantastic after Dora styled it (she even used a color spray to cover my roots and I didn't even ask for it but she thought of everything to make sure my hair looked great for my event!) . I've had the opportunity to wash my hair since and just with her little cutting, my hair looks a lot better, imagine what my hair would look like if I had an actual haircut with her. I wish I lived in London so that Dora can be my hairdresser on a regular basis. I guess I'm just going to have to take more trips to London :) The rest of the staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. So glad I stumbled on this salon as a recommendation from the concierge at my hotel. I would definitely go back again if I'm ever in the area. Go see Dora, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Dora!

I have done with Sara a permanent straightening, a cycle of reconstruction treatments and today my first air extension! She is amazing, everything she does is really professional and well thought. She really cares about her clients hair and their looks and she gives good advices. With my extensions, I wanted something natural and not fake and she coloured all of them (one by one) to make them look as natural as possible with also some lighting effect: true dedication for an amazing result! they are also really nice people so it is a pleasure to spend time in the saloon.

It's a beautiful salon set away in a hiden oasis behind Piccadilly . Darren spends a long time discussing what I need to do to keep the health and vitality in my hair. I have thin hair but a lot of it, I always come out with it looking like a thick glossy mane... Phillippa is one of the best colourist on the planet !! I have three colours and a toner added. The colour is brilliant, natural and lifts my face. She works miracles with dry and split ends and ensures the colour is alive and chic. Super Cool and very chic. Expensive but lasts for over 3 months..

Do NOT and I repeat do NOT get extensions done here !…read more I went in a couple times to get a blowout done by Darren, which was great he did an amazing job each time. But when I finally decided to get extensions put in I quickly regretted it. The extensions were laying on the tray and they looked dull and frayed at the ends, even after asking her to make sure this was the highest quality hair. She said yes and continued to start putting the hair in. After sitting there for about FOUR hours they were finally in, and still looking frayed at the ends as if someone has already curled and straightened the hair multiple times. The woman putting in the hair clearly didn't say anything and Darren who cut and styled it said nothing either. So I said nothing also thinking it was normal, since I didn't know much about hair extensions to begin with. ONE WEEK later my hair starts to fall out. THREE weeks later about 8 pieces of hair have fallen out and I go back to get them put back in. She puts them in no problem. A couple weeks pass with the same problem (my hair falling out), I call to complain AGAIN and they said I could come in free one more time to get the hair put back in. This is where I started to REALLY get mad at John Frieda. I called them asking to book an appointment and each time they have said they would call me back with a date and time to do so. It's been nearly TWO months ! They have ignored my phone calls for two months ! I called about 14 times. This whole experience has been a NIGHTMARE and extremely unprofessional. I'm extremely disappointed with this salon, especially since I paid 1400£ I still haven't heard anything from them and decided to get my hair fixed by someone that knows what they're doing.
