Waited for over one hour for him to do a quick exam, no answers only refer for more testing. Stay out of this mill.

A family friend suggested Dr. Gentile as a potentially "Lyme literate" doctor. I first went to him…read morein 2023 when he had an office with a full staff. It was $300+ for the initial consultation and $250 for any subsequent 15 minute follow up appointment. They did not/do not take insurance. After meeting Gentile for the first time he asked me to leave him a review. I found that a little unprofessional and weird but I let it slide. Went in with symptoms stemming from what I suspected to be related to autoimmune and tick borne illness. I live in a high tick area of LI- had found multiple ticks on me and had been previously diagnosed with Lyme disease. Told Dr. Gentile all of this so it wasn't like he had to play Dr. House and do any real doctor detective work. Ordered tick labs as well as, to his credit in terms of thinking "outside the box", heavy metal tests. The labs confirmed 3 tick borne illness'. He prescribed 4 weeks of doxy, ivermectin and one other course of medication I can't remember. Labs also showed elevated aluminum levels which he recommended a supplement for. He never made any dietary recommendations or offered any other health advice. Gentile also seemed surprised by my anecdotal experience with a gluten free diet being beneficial for autoimmune conditions. He didn't seem to know much about Lyme and literally googled things in front of me. It's tricky to test for Lyme after treatment to see if it worked or not. All I know is that none of my symptoms were alleviated. After spending around $1,000 out of pocket over a few months and not feeling any better I decided to pause spending $250 on 15 minute appointments. Really more like 11 minutes because I feel rushed by Gentile after 10 minutes as he's already standing up ready to walk out the exam room. I didn't leave any negative review. I just decided to let some time pass, see how I feel, and then maybe return in the future to get new lab work. Now summer 2025. Still having all the same symptoms. Schedule another appointment with Oasis Integrative Care. My first time back in a few years. He's in a new location now. No longer operating from an actual doctors office with an actual staff- his office is now integrated into a day spa/massage parlor off RT 112. Only one staff member who I believe is Gentile's wife. Similar vibe as 2023 though- felt rushed in and out of my $250 appointment. Got a new panel of tick lab work and, what I assumed, would be the heavy metal tests. Thought it would be prudent to retest for the heavy metals he first suggested testing for 2 years ago- Dr. Gentile, for whatever reason, leaves the heavy metal panel off the the lab script. So now I have to contact Oasis Integrative Medicine and ask if there should be heavy metal tests on the script and if it would make sense to test for that like last time in order to see if the treatment worked? They agreed it would make sense- I'm basically being my own doctor now. They resend the updated lab script- but this updated lab script only contained the heavy metal tests- not the tick borne tests. Long story short there must have been confusion with the 2 seperate lab scripts at Labcorp and the tick panels never reached Gentile's office. But here's the thing- his wife/secretary called me a week earlier and literally said, "Your lab results are in, would you like to schedule an appointment to discuss them". So I did. I took time off work to come in and discuss the results. I'm sitting in Gentile's exam room for 8 minutes as he opens the lab results FOR THE FIRST TIME and is puzzled as to why the lab work is incomplete. Had he thought to look at his patients lab work at any time before the actual appointment- he could have realized the lab work was incomplete and told me to get it redone and not come in. So he says I need to redo the labwork. Charges me $250 for the lab result appointment that he didn't have the lab results for. I figure the next appointment will be comped as a courtesy- I even mentioned it to his secretary/wife before the second follow up. Redo the labs, come back, rushed again. Didn't give my CC or pay this time though- at least he didn't charge me- but on my way out he asks me to leave him a review once again. Very odd. A month later I am looking at my credit card statement and Oasis Integrative Health SNEAKILY charged my credit card for that appointment. No receipt sent to me like they did every other charge. No permission to charge my credit card they apparently kept on file. I try calling the office to discuss this but his secretary refuses to call me back- she only texts me. I write, "can you please call me we need to actually discuss this over the phone". She literally refuses to call me and just argues with me via text. Eventually "Dr" Dave himself actually calls me and asks "why I am being rude to his wife". I ask why they committed credit card fraud and he tells me to "find a new physician." Here's the review you begged for.

I have a few autoimmune diseases that are wreaking havoc on my body and I had no idea that I could potentially reverse the issues. I have complete faith in Dr. Dave and can't wait to see how I progress under his care. He gave me a variety of supplements and a couple of new scripts. Within just ten days, I'm already starting to feel better. He's kind of a genius, but also super kind, warm and nice to engage with with. He truly looks at your health from a macro level and gives a personalized approach to heal you!!

I never feel like I'm imposing when I call the office. Many doctor's offices have extremely rude stuff but not this one. There is one point I'd like to bring to light - the office is stuck in the late 90s/early 2000s as far as technology and service. They don't have the capability to submit prescriptions to a pharmacy electronically which is a GIANT pain. I have to budget an extra hour to any visit in case something is prescribed in order to drive to the pharmacy, stand in line, and hand them a paper prescription. THEN I have to drive back later to pick it up because I don't have time to hang out in the pharmacy for an hour while it is filled. It feels like the 1970s to me. Every doctor I've been seeing since 2005 submits electronically and many times the order is filled within the hour for easy pick up later at my convenience. As far as I know, New York state law mandates all prescriptions must be submitted electronically (to prevent drug abuse) so I'd be interested in what exemption this office is using to get out of the mandate. Secondly, they don't seem to have the ability to accept bill payments via the internet. In 2022! They want you to mail in a piece of paper with your credit card information or call them over the phone to give them your credit card information - not very secure, convenient, or modern at all.
