Been with Michael Westra's office for years now. I usually look for options every 2yrs or switch even after a year if the increases are substantial and have to find a more competitive rate but haven't had to do that ever since I switched to them. My claims in the past have been handled efficiently to my satisfaction and my increase for filing claims haven't been so much for me to switch either. This agent's customer service is horrible. On several occasions I have called this office but only to get a voice mail message. Every time I left a message, I would never receive a call back. On my most recent attempt to contact this office. I actually got someone on the phone. I was quoted a price after I purchased a new car and when I received my bill it was off by $ 60.00 per month. As I tried to call this agent again, I got a young lady on the phone and she said she will have someone look into this and she will have someone call me back. NEVER HAPPENED. I called and left messages several times during the day and still no call back. After 2 days of waiting for a call back I cancelled my policy and went with another insurance company which was over $ 100 less per month with more options. read more

what a horrible experience! I was a solid customer for over 2 years. After canceling my insurance policy, making certain my account would not have funds been withdrawn I was dismayed to find that they were taken anyway. I called Allstate to let them know this, they promised they would be back in 48 hours. It's been a week and still NOTHING! (the lady on the other line was very nice I might add) But it gets worse, because it wasn't returned when they said, I got an NSF fee of $36 by my bank. Oh joy. I call back a week later, was on hold for exactly 31:26 and then was told in order to get my $36 I'd have to fax them my info from my bank. Fax??? WTF, who has a fax machine in their house nowadays??? After all this hassle and headache you'd think the service rep would be nicer. Instead she kept telling me that it was company policy. I kept reminding her that her company policy had already caused me massive inconvenience and I could simply email her the info...that's what companies do in the 21st century lol. You'd think she'd be a little more accommodating...but she was worse! I had to hang up the phone. So I call my local agent, explain the situation, and he blames AllState. I reminded him that I bought the insurance from him, so he bears responsibility to get this resolved. He has been a little more helpful but so far no results. It's been a week...where's my money Allstate???? read more

This agent is horrible, and a liar at best. To start off, he gave me an auto-home discount, among a list of other discounts upon sign up for only auto insurance on my car. He told me my rate would stay the same and I could keep all my discounts regardless and they would not fall off no matter what. At renewal, my auto-home discount fell off, and my rate nearly increased by half!!!! Michael said that unless I brought my home insurance over (which was nearly twice as much with Allstate for the same coverage I currently had with another company) and that I could not keep that discount. So why does he and his staff sign up customers with all these discounts when he shouldn't, just so he can be the "best rate in town". He could care less about his customers, although he likes to act like he does. Go to any other Allstate in town and you'll be better off than doing business here. read more

Michael truly offers concierge like service for his clients. I use him for auto, boat, motorcycle, home, and business and he gets me what i need fast whether is=ts an account change or adding additional insured to jobs I am working on for my business as required for compliance. All this and he has great rates! On my business policy he saves me more than I pay for the current policy than my old one. I would not ever give any business to this office. If I could give zero stars I would. We changed our homeowners insurance prior to renewal date and the mortgagee as well as the new insurance company stated they had notified this office. This office claim they never received anything. I received a renewal notice from this office which prompted me to call to confirm cancellation had taken place. They stated it was still in effective and never received any type of correspondence canceling. They requested I go back to both companies and get the email dated back to when they sent them something. They refused to cancel the policy from the the date the new coverage started so they are keeping money from the mortgagee even though the mortgagee has paid the new insurance company. They will refund going back 30 days yet I have proof we have proof of a dec sheet when the new coverage began and they won't accept it. I'll make sure all of my family members take their business elsewhere! read more
