I found my new dermatologist!! I could not be happier. Dr…read more Chaudhari and her team are incredible!! From Edna, the woman who schedules and answers the calls, to Sarah, one of the in-office personnel, everyone here is a dream!! I've seen a lot of derms - in the city, Aesthetic Dermatology before their office closed in SF, and Icecreamwalla and Golden State Derm on this side of the bay. North Peak blows them all out of the water!! Dr. Chaudhari is such a wonderful listener. I never feel rushed. She explains the treatment options and explains why she thinks whatever course she recommends is best. She's always open to hearing what I think and what my concerns are. I srsly have not met a dermatologist I trust more. Last week, after finishing a month long course of antibiotics to clear some dermatitis around my eyes, eczema started coming back on my eyelids. I freaked out thinking that it was mites and not wanting to go backward on the progress we'd made with the long course of antibiotics. I called and there were no appts until Feb. I expressed my concern and Edna messaged the doc who said she could see me at the end of the day that same day. I mean, who does that nowadays?! To top it off, the new topical that the doc recommended was a bit hard/long to get approved, so the team found me a coupon for it. I feel so grateful to have found a doc (and team) that is as conscientious as they are great at what they do!! Five stars +++++++ Thank you, North Peak!

I have been a patient of Dr. Chaudari since she opened the office several years ago. I called in…read moreJuly to have an appointment for a skin issue that did not look normal on my face and an annual skin check up due my family's history. I was told there are no appointments until October. I then called again and got an appointment in late September for a total skin check up. Dr. Chaudari was very quick and asked me if it was ok to biopsy the skin issue that I had identified as she was not sure what if it was malignant or not. The Dr. is the expert, not me the patient. The biopsy came back as malignant. I had noticed another tumor on my scalp that she totally missed during the check up. I called again and requested an appointment right away, and was scheduled the following day. The biopsy for this tumor on my scalp that I found by myself, ended up being malignant as well. She had totally missed it. She is very rushed and did not do a good job with the annual skin check up. I will not be returning to this office.

I had a very frustrating experience with Golden State Dermatology this morning, and my biggest…read moreconcern is less about one individual employee and more about how the practice appears to be staffing and managing its front desk. I had a confirmed 8:00 a.m. appointment and took the day off work specifically to attend it. When I arrived, the front desk was clearly overwhelmed with multiple patients checking in at once. I gave the employee my name several times and my date of birth, but she initially told me there was no record of me in the system at all. She then told me I did not have an appointment that day and instead had an appointment on a Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. I explained that this could not be correct because, due to my work schedule, I only make medical appointments on Fridays. Unfortunately, I felt dismissed rather than having anyone pause to investigate what might have happened. After going outside, I checked my appointment history and confirmed that my appointment was, in fact, scheduled for that morning. There had clearly been some kind of scheduling or technical issue. I called the appointment desk to explain what I had found and happened to reach the same employee. Despite explaining that I had a confirmed appointment and had already taken the day off work, there was no attempt to investigate the discrepancy or accommodate me. I was simply offered the next available Friday appointment, September 11 at 8:00 a.m. I want to be fair to the front-desk employee: she appeared experienced and professional, but also visibly rushed and overloaded. That is why I believe this is ultimately a management and staffing issue. Golden State Dermatology's physician partnership and management team should take a hard look at how the front desk is staffed, particularly during the morning rush, and at the reliability of its scheduling system. When a patient has a confirmed appointment, rearranges their workday, shows up on time, and is turned away because of an apparent system error, there should be a process for investigating the problem and making a reasonable effort to accommodate them. Instead, I lost a day of work, made an unnecessary trip to the office, and left feeling dismissed. I hope Golden State Dermatology takes this feedback seriously. A medical practice can have excellent clinicians, but the patient experience begins at the front desk, and today that experience fell well short.

Aside from confusing directions from Waze and an elevator requiring keycards to access the building…read moremy first experience was great. True my visit was just a few minutes but in those few minutes I believe I received the information and treatment I needed for two warts on my feet. I avoided getting any kind of spa treatments on my feet because of a wart on top of one of my toes and another near my hell on the opposite foot. I was told they are contagious and should not be touched. I could put a band aid on them and still get a pedicure. Also I was informed that warts are historically difficult to treat and could require multiple treatments- up to nine! I had gone to a local podiatrist whose treatment was a very mild freeze with a canister that was very small. At Berman they had a canister that was roughly 5 times as large and delivered quite a punch to the warts. I was told it might sting a little and sting it did! I'm hoping I won't have to go 8 more times but I think I went to the right place. I know my feet will be beach ready before summer.

She goes above and beyond just treating your skin, she helped me identify areas of my lifestyle that could be affecting my skin, helped me analyze my skincare routine by checking all the ingredients of the products I use and recommending me substitutions and additions where necessary. She is so kind and understanding, and within just a couple visits with her my skin made tremendous progress. Highly recommend seeing her if you struggle with acne, it really helped me see accelerated results in combination with my new prescription regimen.
