As someone who is getting up in age had four or five dentists throughout my life, I have developed…read morea strong ability to recognize the difference between a genuinely ethical practitioner and one who is motivated by financial gain. Just as I went through several eye doctors before settling on one I truly trusted, I have learned that over time, a doctor's true intentions become clear. Dr. Rayburg is undoubtedly knowledgeable and confident in his work. I also genuinely believe that he cares about his patients and wants to provide good care. However, it seems as though he has an almost compulsive need to maximize profit--to the point where it feels like a sickness. His focus on making money at every possible opportunity overshadows his medical expertise, creating an environment where patients are seen more as revenue streams than individuals in need of honest treatment. One of the most concerning aspects of this practice is the frequency of unjustified treatments and misleading diagnoses. I have personally seen fillings being replaced unnecessarily, with no real medical justification. I know of multiple cases where patients were told they had cavities, only to later find out--after getting a second opinion--that they had none at all. This is not just a difference in dental opinions--this is a pattern of overdiagnosis that calls into question the integrity of the recommendations being given to patients. There are times when a tooth simply cannot be saved, and the best course of action is extraction. However, Dr. Rayburg frequently pushes root canals, even in cases where the long-term success rate is low. I have personally experienced this, and I know of others who have also undergone root canals that ultimately failed within just a few years. This results in additional procedures, additional costs, and additional frustration for the patient--but more money for the practice. The biggest issue here is not just the unnecessary procedures--it's the mindset behind them. Instead of offering the simplest, most effective solution, Dr. Rayburg seems to opt for the longest, most expensive route possible. If you were standing in front of a brick wall with a door, any reasonable dentist would open the door and walk through. Dr. Rayburg, however, would have you climb over, dig under, or take an unnecessarily long and complicated path to the other side--all while billing you and your insurance at every step. Final Assessment Dr. Rayburg is not a bad dentist in terms of skill, and I do believe he genuinely cares about his patients. However, his obsession with maximizing profits makes him difficult to trust. If you want a dentist who is completely transparent and focused on what's truly best for you, I strongly suggest seeking a second opinion before committing to any procedure in this office. It may save you from unnecessary treatments, unnecessary costs and unnecessary frustration.

My husband and I were looking for a dentist that would take our insurance, but was also taking new…read morepatients. With the Covid-19 problems it was difficult. So when this office said yes, we went. I was there once, my husband went twice. We were both told we had gum disease. My previous dentist, never mentioned that. #1 Problem. While I was there, Dr Rayburg said one of my teeth needed a cap, because he didn't like the filling that was in it. I had no pain, the tooth is fine, so why cap it. He said it was necessary. #2 Problem. Husband went back 2nd time to have an Ultra sonic cleaning done. Had never heard of that before. But he went. They billed our insurance for "Periodontal maintenance", which is a procedure that is to be done after Periodontal surgery, which my husband has never had. Needless to say, insurance would not pay it. So this was #3 Problem. The day after we recieved the notice from insurance about no payment, we got the doctor's bill in the mail, with yellow stickers demanding immediate payment. That's #4. Why demand, we had no idea. But the final thing that made me write this review was the x-rays. When I went to pay them what we owed and asked for the x-rays, they claimed it was "Illegal for them to give me the x-rays, that they could only release them to another dentist. But if I would pay for copies, I could have them. $4.00 for copies." I said, "I will gladly pay you to be done with you." So why does $4.00 suddenly make something that was "Illegal" not illegal anymore. This doctor looks for ways to take money from his patients. I have since spoken to a woman who worked for him years ago who tells me it was common practice to inflate bills and file claims that were misleading. PLEASE, STAY AWAY from DR. RAYBURG.

Dr Chapman is fantastic and has an wonderful staff that all truly care and want to help. They have worked on my wife multiple times and worked out plans with her to make things affordable. We now have coverage through my work and they are making sure they know what coverages we have and what all can be done and doing everything possible to make sure we get all we need done, done with what we have. Planning out an entire care/treatment plan to get us to our best dental health. I loved the text messages I got with confirmation and follow up reminders from the very start. I found that extremely helpful. On my appointment they were running a bit behind but had a few emergencies that were squeezed in before me which I really didn't mind and it actually gave me peace of mind if I were to be having a dental emergency they would squeeze me in. I got a aweosme follow up email and well as a survey which I will be sharing as well in screen shot form. They also sent me an email for using the online patient tools and a reminder of my next appointment. Very nice Such a fantastic experience. Dr Chapman is pleasant and easy going. He takes time to make sure you understand everything. I felt like I was in good hands with him and his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Chapman!
