Michael's rates are competitive and he's very forthright about a lot things most movers are notoriously shadey for (arrival, broken stuff, breaks, paperwork). His quick consult of our move was a pretty spot on assessment. We instantly trusted him to handle this move for us. I am currently 9months pregnant and my husband needed all the help he could get. After a straight forward email on price and moving day details, his team arrived on time and ready to go. They handled our basement FULL of crap and transferred it very quickly and with great moral to a new really old, narrow basement. It was a brutal job they crushed through like champs! Second trip they breezed through all our furniture and the rest of our boxes with care and professionalism. They wrapped and padded pieces we expressed concern over and made us aware of anything that needed repair before they moved it so we understood the fragility of some of our office furniture that wasn't weathering the years as well as we thought. When they arrived at the new place, it was precise. They didn't scuff any walls, they took direction with such a polite attitude and they really just hit it out of the park. When we buy our first house in a couple of years and move out of here, there is no doubt we'll hire Michael and his team to help us again. Michael the Mover and his team were awesome! I live on the 6th floor of a condo building and had a huge (white) sectional that they picked up from my friends place and delivered to me. They were so kind to squeeze me in last minute for a what I thought would be a super quick/easy move. I had the wrong measurements for the couch (one piece of the sectional was 102" vs. 84" that I originally thought) and on top of that, my buildings freight elevator was down for the weekend. When Michael and his team arrived with the couch to my condo, they had to come up with an alternative plan to get the 102" piece into my place (the smaller part of the couch fit fine in the elevator). They went above and beyond and evaluated the 4 stairwells up to my place that each had their own obstacles (fire hose, lighting, pipes, etc) and found one stairwell that would work. Michael and Larry played Tetris up six flights of stairs all with a smile on their face! And it only took them 20 minutes for them to maneuver the piece up the stairs and into my place once they came up with a game plan. They took on this challenge with excitement and handled the piece with great care. I was so grateful that they did this vs. having to leave the couch out in the hallway until I could get in touch with my buildings management on the freight elevator. Let me say, this is one awesome dude! We were so incredibly happy and thankful to have found Michael and his team. We flew up to Grand Rapids with only 2 weeks to find a mover, get a quote, and have a room full of valuables (and car) moved across the country. Michael came out (twice) to discuss our belongings and gave us a great deal on the move. He did not inflate the price to try to haggle it later, which we were super appreciative of. We got another quote from a well known moving company that was almost double what he offered. Michael was super responsive and flexible with the planning of the move. He was careful with all of our valuables and wrapped our paintings extremely well. After dropping everything off for us in Vegas, he proceeded to help my mom by arranging furniture and hauled off junk furniture that my mom no longer wanted in the house (for no extra cost). She had been wanting to have some of this furniture hauled off for years but was unable to lift it herself. He really went above and beyond and we are so very greatful for all of his help. This company was fabulous! Michael, the owner, answered the phone right away when I called and was prompt in texting to communicate thereafter. I called for a quote, didn't have to give all my info just to get it, was warned on the difference being movers being licensed rather than insured (it's not the same thing), and even though there were changes the same day, the guys that came were professional, friendly, and slow (which might sound bad, but my walls were never scratched, dented, or damaged in any way which was HUGE for me since our new house was new construction). I had my kids with me and they were friendly towards them, even when they got in the way on occasion. Julian and JB were the best movers I could have asked for! They were so respectful with taking their shoes off when entering the home, laying pads down in the truck and garage, and constantly said, "yes, ma'am," when I requested something. I loved it! I highly recommend this company and will be giving their number to any friends or family who need movers. We recently went through a tough move -- 50% of our stuff went to storage, 50% into a tiny apartment (while we are building a new home). I reached out to Mike a couple months ago as my husband and I love to support local entrepreneurs who are looking for more business. When he came to our doorstep wearing a Miami University Redhawks hat, I knew we were going to hire him and his team on the spot. On moving day, Mike let us know they would be a little late due to traffic (it was rush hour on a week day morning), but when they arrived, they went straight to work. His team was kind, professional, extremely careful with all of our belongings, and just good, solid men. They were able to fit a lot of stuff into some tiny spaces and in record time! Efficient service at an affordable rate. Michael was professional from the moment I reached out for a quote - quick response and solid communication leading up to the day of the move. Michael and Theo were hustling all day moving us out of a 2/2 apartment and into a home 20 mins across town. All furniture and household items were handled with care to avoid damage. We also had additional items in a storage unit that were loaded before heading to the apartment. Few larger items required some additional time/effort to get into the house, but as Michael put it "that's why people hire us, because it's never as easy as you think it will be". Only knock is that the truck was a little too small to fit everything in one trip, so there was some excess drive time for a second trip. Really, no big deal. And, again, we likely had the equivalent of a 3 bed / 2 bath home in terms of furniture and "stuff". Just something worth noting for others with a little more to haul. At the end of the day, I would call Michael first thing for a future move without looking elsewhere. read more

I engaged Michael and his crew to unload the U-Pack trailer to my townhome on 22nd August. Service provided was top-notch, with trailer arrival timings being uncertain Michael was able to deliver despite of last minute ask, his crew arrived on time, was very professional and courteous and came across as good cohesive team. I would like to highlight few things which stood-out especially: - Although Michael couldn't come himself due to an injury he made sure he monitored entire move and was in touch with me all the time. - Crew did not waste any time and delivered in 2 hours flat as estimated. They were courteous to respect my ask for no shoes in home due to an infant in home. - Since trailer had to be parked bit far from home, they had to load it to their truck and then unload in a 3-level home, all done with absolute perfection. I've used Michael the Mover twice, and had great experiences both times. The first time, they moved me from Cleveland, OH to Grand Rapids. They were quick, efficient, and very friendly. Additionally, they drove all the way to Cleveland, and back to Grand Rapids in one day. They drove through one of the worst (if not THE worst) snow storms in Michigan in 2016 to finish my move, which made a 4.5 hour drive into a 6.5 hour drive. They worked the whole day, and didn't complain at all! The second time was just recently when I moved. Again, they were quick, efficient, and friendly. Michael the Mover responded to phone calls and texts, and promptly sent an invoice after completing the job. Our move was from GR to Detroit. Not usual for Michael the mover to take on a long distance move. Michael came to see our house (contents) before making a decision to take our move and quote the price. We had to wait several months for the move to happen since we were waiting for an apartment to become available. Michael and we stayed in touch and were ready when the day came. It was a tough move, but Micael and Theo were upbeat and energetic the entire time. Nothing was broken and furniture was correctly placed. one "snafus" occurred. My inversion table became a problem to correctly reassemble and some screws seem lost. We needed to come to a conclusion how to handle this situation. Michael the Mover and his team helped me move out of a 3 level home in Eastown and into a 1 bedroom apartment in an old Heritage Hill building during quarantine and it was GREAT. Seriously, they are awesome. I've never used movers before and my memories of moving are like this sweaty, exhausting nightmare. Let me tell you, I will never move myself again. Michael and his team were extremely communicative, friendly and efficient. They practiced safe distancing and measures due to Covid and they were very accommodating of my schedule. Very Friendly and Personable! Fair pricing. No Hidden Fees! A lot of other companies may be turned off from moving items from historic homes due to their awkward layouts, stairs upon stairs etc. But I was impressed with Michaels fascination with historic homes and he even seemed eager to take on the challenge. There was a little hiccup with scheduling and being overbooked but honestly Michael did whatever he could to rectify the problem and made great efforts to make sure we were happy in the end. Highly satisfied with the work Michael the Mover and his crew provided! Michael came out to see the space and to provide me with a more accurate quote than other moving companies. His team showed up on time, were so wonderful to work with and extremely efficient! So efficient they finished thirty minutes before the quoted time! (yeah!) He worked us into his schedule, communicated very well and clearly about time so we knew exactly when to expect him, and did a great job on a hot day with a narrow set of stairs.
