Well first of all, he listens and is actively interested in trying to figure out what happened and how we can find a solution. While sitting in the examination room, Dr. Peng would absorb everything I said, then ask me detailed follow-up questions. He would think out loud about possible causes of whatever issue I was complaining about, and you could see the wheels in his head turning as he went through one possibility after another. It was like watching a detective work. Throughout the process, he encouraged my input ("Do you think it could be related to ______?"). After we discussed all the possible scenarios, Dr. Peng would make a treatment plan and then we'd set up a follow-up appointment. Every time I saw him it was the same process: He would listen to my updates, then we'd make a new plan based on what worked and what didn't. In the end, we successfully figured out a solution to my problem. Overall, I found Dr. Peng warm, friendly, and intensely caring. I no longer reside in New York, but I highly recommend him if you live there and are in need of a urologist.

Choosing Dr. David Samadi to handle my prostate surgery was one of the best medical decisions I…read morehave ever made. My surgery was in 2016, and now, 10 years later, I could not be happier with the decision or more grateful for the outcome. I was recently at a funeral and recommended Dr. Samadi to a friend who is dealing with a prostate issue. Since it had been many years since my surgery, I decided to look him up again to see what my friend might find in an online search. After reading some of the one- and two-star reviews, I felt compelled to share my own experience. Dr. Samadi has a very special gift. I thank God every day for his medical knowledge, surgical skill, and the care he provided to me. He is truly a fantastic doctor and surgeon. I did have one unpleasant experience at the hospital, but it had nothing to do with Dr. Samadi or anyone on his personal team. It involved other hospital staff. With a different attitude, I could have allowed that one incident to define my entire experience, but that would have been unfair and would have completely missed what mattered most: the exceptional medical care and surgical outcome Dr. Samadi gave me. His staff was second to none! Who cares if he does not always wear scrubs or if his waiting room sometimes feels like a newsroom? I did not choose him based on his clothing or office atmosphere. I chose him because I wanted an extraordinarily talented surgeon to treat a serious medical condition--and that is exactly what I received. Ten years later, I remain profoundly thankful that Dr. Samadi was my doctor. He deserves far more credit than some of these reviews give him. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Since I recently moved to New York from LA, I've been searching for a OBGYN, and thought I found…read morethe perfect match with the office of Dr. Goncharov. Unfortunately, due to their poor receptionists they lost a potential patient because of careless mistakes. I called on this past Monday to inquire if they were accepting new clients and accepted my new New York insurance. Wanita, who I spoke to said Dr. Goncharov did not, and I could see one of the nurses Marina instead who is in the office on Fridays in Manhattan. She scheduled me in for the same week on Friday. She needed to validate my insurance number (which I did not have at the time), and asked me to call back the next day. The following day, I called the office with the information and a different woman I spoke to had no idea who I was and had no idea about my appointment on Friday. First red flag. So I rebooked the appointment for the same time, and confirmed that they accepted the insurance. She said yes. This morning (Friday) hours before my appointment, I receive a phone call from Wanita asking for my insurance phone number because she has never seen the insurance before and was not sure if they accepted it after both of them confirmed they did. Is it that difficult to perform a Google search to contact them? Once again, I did not have the card on me and had to call her back with the telephone number, and wait for her to call me back 2 hours before the appointment to confirm if I could even go there. She said that Marina only took it (yes, we already established this and thats why the appointment was with her), but she wouldn't be in the office today. WTF? I had to cancel all of the arrangements I made to come into the office after I had already took the afternoon off of work to come in. Oh, and it gets worse. Wanita said that Marina is sometimes in the office on Fridays, but really had no idea if she would be there the following week or any future Friday in fact. It is a yes or no question after you look at the doctor's calendar. Seriously? Red flag after red flag, I finally said "I'll go somewhere else". It shouldn't take six phone calls to schedule an appointment. If they can't do that right, I'm not really sure if I'd want to trust them with my billing or body.

I went to Dr. Attoe for a checkup plus a consultancy on a series of symptoms including chronic fatigue and irregular period. She seemed such a decent well prepared lady and I would have never expected to experience what I am about to write. For the fatigue part, I thought I was simply suffering from iron deficiency (which I had in the past). Dr. Attoe suggested to get that checked, together with the thyroid and the other routine check-ups. After around 10 days, motivated by worsened symptoms, I call in to ask if there were any news. So Dr. Attoe calls me back saying that actually my analysis (including cholesterol, thyroid, and all the rest) were all good and within the norms. So, when I asked her then what was her suggestion to lessen my symptoms, she suggested that life in NY is stressful and that many patients complaint about fatigue (I think she said roughly 20%). She also added to go more out to the park and enjoy the day. I was somewhat confused because I have lived in NY for 7 years, I am used to a hardworking life (full of stresses) yet never had I felt that way. As a daughter of an MD I tend to trust doctors and their expertise though I knew something wasn't write with her suggestion. And sure enough, around one week later I receive the print out of my analysis and turns out that my analysis are NOT ok. My ranges for ALT (which are produced by the liver) are higher than the norm and so are two other values, including cholesterol levels. I think that what might have happened is that Dr. Attoe read someone's else analysis over the phone. If this weren't enough I called in twice to ask to kindly speak to the doctor and never got called back (although I explained what the issue was). Another doctor that I consulted suggested to investigate further the liver as that could explain my strong fatigue. To sum, I would suggest Dr. Attoe that perhaps she should go less to the park and concentrate more on her patients!
