While the CT Scan and surgery was taken care of right away, there was no transparency in terms of costs (from Lenox Hill, the doctor, nor Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield) and there was no follow up what so ever. I was told a stent was placed inside of me and it was going to be removed later after an evaluation. Days go by after telling the doctor I was still bleeding and not a peep from their office. Clearly they don't care. Update: Spoke to the doctor yesterday and he stated that his assistant will call me in the morning to set up an X-Ray for today. That never happened. Two stars has become one.

The procedure was preceded by the state required 30-day separation after the consultation. This review addresses the procedure itself as I will leave the consultation for a update review (yes, in reverse order). I was familiar with finding the office on the large 9th floor of this very large facility which is perhaps the most stress. I was 18m late but thankfully the coordination in their team is very good so when I checked in they were already to go. Kudos to all the people who staff such a procedure including the scheduler who keeps track of time, the intake receptionist who signals the start, the first nurse who takes one's vitals, the surgical assistant who does most of the preparatory work, the doctor himself who studies and organizes the office, maintenance staff who make sure everything is stuck cared for and ready to go; and all the administrative staff who make it a yet easier time. I often say that the happier the staff at a business, the better the customer experience. The same applies even here for this unique type of business and review. I must note how very happy, relaxed, and genuinely caring so many of the aforementioned staff were. It is no small feat that Weill Cornell Medicine and doctor bosses keep them so happy. It is literally the type of place at which one would want to work and many friends have long said for decades that a hospital such as this is their preferred employer and indeed today work as such hospitals around the city. The procedure was very professional with all of the provided attention, care, staff, support, and good attitude that one would want for such a procedure. I knew that from my research that this procedures' difference here is their using a minimally invasive technique. Such makes all the difference for the patient's less post-operative pain recovery and higher chance of success. I'm living it right now and I can say cheers to you Dr. Kashanian and staff!

Choosing Dr. David Samadi to handle my prostate surgery was one of the best medical decisions I…read morehave ever made. My surgery was in 2016, and now, 10 years later, I could not be happier with the decision or more grateful for the outcome. I was recently at a funeral and recommended Dr. Samadi to a friend who is dealing with a prostate issue. Since it had been many years since my surgery, I decided to look him up again to see what my friend might find in an online search. After reading some of the one- and two-star reviews, I felt compelled to share my own experience. Dr. Samadi has a very special gift. I thank God every day for his medical knowledge, surgical skill, and the care he provided to me. He is truly a fantastic doctor and surgeon. I did have one unpleasant experience at the hospital, but it had nothing to do with Dr. Samadi or anyone on his personal team. It involved other hospital staff. With a different attitude, I could have allowed that one incident to define my entire experience, but that would have been unfair and would have completely missed what mattered most: the exceptional medical care and surgical outcome Dr. Samadi gave me. His staff was second to none! Who cares if he does not always wear scrubs or if his waiting room sometimes feels like a newsroom? I did not choose him based on his clothing or office atmosphere. I chose him because I wanted an extraordinarily talented surgeon to treat a serious medical condition--and that is exactly what I received. Ten years later, I remain profoundly thankful that Dr. Samadi was my doctor. He deserves far more credit than some of these reviews give him. I would recommend him without hesitation.

The entire visit he was dismissive and rushed. He saw me for only 15 minutes and wasn't particularly interested in any of my questions. Old-school medicine mentality: "I'm the doctor, so I'm right". He conclusively decided I had a bacterial condition and prescribed me the "strongest antibiotic known to man", Levofloxacin. When I wrinkled my nose at the risk, he was dismissive, telling me "sometimes, you just need to trust your doctor" and that many of his patients took it and he never hears from them again, so it must work. When I got home and researched what he had prescribed, I found that Levofloxacin had a chance of serious nerve issues, had a black box warning from the FDA, and was not recommended unless a bacterial test had come back positive (which it didn't). I never took the antibiotics, and my pain ended up being a pelvic floor issue and resolved after seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist. The only saving grace is that the practice is inexpensive (With my United Healthcare rate, the visit was $135 including all lab tests).

My partner went in because of a bladder issue. She was on the table, in stirrups, while this doctor kept going on and out of the room YELLING at his nurse to "hurry up and get her out of here". The nurse kept having to apologize for his behavior. He showed zero compassion, patience, or care. This guy is lucky that I didn't find out about my partner's horrid experience when we still lived in NYC because I would have paid him a visit.
