FIVE STARS I had a…read moredeep tissue massage with Pablo today, focusing on my traps and lower back as primary spots. Holy **** ! First of all, the place is lovely. I was greeted by Doug, who makes you feel at home with a very calm and positive vibe. He then introduced me to Pablo, the star of the show. Did I say star? Rockstar is more like it. When Pablo says deep tissue, he means it. At times it felt like I had two guys working on me. He uses his thighs, knees and shin at the same time as his hands, forearms and upper arm. I don't know how he does it so flawlessly - he's like an octopus! He treated the problem areas I mentioned while connecting the work with the rest of my body. You can visualize how he makes the muscle progression. He is incredibly effective. I STRONGLY recommend Blu Day Spa and Pablo in particular if you are serious about recovery - whether it's a "formal" injury or you are just sore from everyday soreness. I book a massage with Michael each time we visit Provincetown. If I had to use one word to describe him as a massage therapist, it would be "amazing." He truly has magic hands. During my first visit with him several years ago, I had a massive headache and shoulder pain, and was about to cancel our plans for the day. By the time my massage was finished, however, not only were the aches in my shoulder gone...my headache was, too, and we were able to enjoy our activities that day. On our most recent visit this past week, I had somehow injured my shoulder a few days before our trip. The night before my scheduled massage, I could not even lift or use my left arm...that is how excruciating the pain was at the time. I explained the issue to Michael (he truly listens) and he concentrated his work around that area, and by the end of the massage, there was some relief. Before the end of the day, I could lift and use my arm again. I have gone to several different massage therapists over the years, but not one has the expertise, in my opinion, that Michael does. Others talk the same language, use similar terms, but it is what Michael does with this knowledge that separates him from the other therapists. If I could afford to fly to Provincetown more often, I would book a massage on a regular basis with him. read more

A Michael Perry massage is a wonderful experience ! I have been going to Michael Perry for years and I am one happy client. Michael knows the human body and uses his knowledge to get the best results. This is not your typical "vanilla" massage - Michael listens to you about your problem areas and employs a customized approach to each massage. The results he produces speak for themselves. Michael has a welcoming and calming personality and he never tires of sharing information with you about your individual situation. Highly recommend and give his gift certificates as presents to all my friends !! read more

I have been going to Michael for close to 20 years now, his skills as a therapist go beyond a relaxing massage, he has helped me with some therapeutic issues throughout the years. He has a kind gentle soul, and truly wants you to get the best results no matter if it's just to relax or to help correct a injury or pain. There's a few things my partner and I do before leaving for our annual trip to P-town... One is to make reservations in our favorite restaurants, and two, to make sure Michael can fit me in at least twice during my stay...so call ahead, and enjoy! He is truly the best... read more

Michael Perry is the most exquisitely talented massage therapist I've ever met and I've met more than a few. I have made pilgrimages to Ptown from DC just to have him put me back in whack. He is also a uniquely gentle soul with great taste in music (if you don't like the usual massage tracks) and hands that always seem to find the places in backs, hips, shoulders that require TLC. Okay, so as I was coming up on 3 weeks of steadily increasing cervical pain, with no sign of…read morebacking off, I thought it might behoove me to actually take some action instead of not-so-patiently waiting for it to go away by itself. I like acupuncture as a first course of treatment for a number of things that ail me, but I'd moved so far away from my former healer that it wasn't practical for me to return, so the search was on! Finding an acupuncturist that you like isn't always easy - their personality, their treatment style, their success with you- let's face it, success rate is why you're there right? Pain definitely does NOT equal gain! I've found that even though each acupuncturist has his/her own way of treating the patient, I have to walk out of there feeling 100% sure that I was helped to some large degree with my complaint. After seeing Liz, I knew I was helped, hurting significantly less and feeling significantly healed. If you've been to an acupuncturist before, you'll know that like most holistic or homoeopathic healers, a personal referral is your best bet of finding someone you'll want to see, someone who's a good match for your personality and preferences. I was referred to Liz by a coworker who described her a " a true healer". Sure, that's awesome but more to the point, will she get my pain to go away? Completely away??? Well, as it turns out, yes,she will thank you very much! Her studio is easy to get to, tucked away down the street behind the Wellfleet Market (yes, my boycott still continues, read my prior review for details!) with (for Wellfleet) plenty of parking outside. Inside is bright, light and open. Liz is welcoming and simply down to earth with instructions on where to go, what to do and wait until she gets there. Her touch is sure and certain, her treatment blends a little muscle manipulation with a lot of energy manipulation and it worked. Liz more than met my personal criteria in terms of pain reduction and healing from her treatment, making me feel comfortable (you can't start to heal if you're cringing away from the healer, right?) and a day later I still feel a lot better and I'm looking forward to my next visit. Go - yes, you will feel better!

I would highly recommend against getting work done with Joseph. I wanted a very small and simple…read moretattoo, which had A LOT of meaning to it. Joseph was arrogant, dismissive and annoyed within seconds of our introduction. I asked for a simple tattoo and tried to draw a picture of what I wanted, but he grabbed the pen out of my hand, said "give me a second I will do it" and walked away annoyed for the first time. I agreed to his next plan, he was fine while he did my small piece, but as soon as I said I wanted the halo bolder to be the statement of the piece... he started with all the excuses as to why not change it. After him getting annoyed with me inquiring about it all, I asked if he would bolden the halo if I didn't end up liking how it came out after healing. He told me to just ask whoever did my next tattoo to "hit it again, it's not a big deal." He finally heard my concern after I talked to my friend about it- so he did end up going over the halo again for me. After this very short interaction, I was asking about maintenance and again.... Annoyed angry man reared his head. He kept saying, it's small, it's not a big deal. I asked about aquaphor and he again said I'm overthinking it. I explained that with my previous 5 tattoos I had issues with cracking/healing etc. Again I could tell he was dismissing me so I reminded him that just because this was small and meaningless to him.... It was very important for me and my Mom who I lost too soon. I was charged $120 for a quarter sized tattoo which was done within 5-10 min. I was ok with paying that because it was a very special addition that I wanted don't on a very special day while I was on vacation. The way he refused to listen from the moment we met to the moment I gave them the $120 for my 15ish minutes in the studio... disgusting. I would highly recommend not using him as an "artist" because he acted more like an angry, hungover, teenage boy who was getting paid too much for his half a** work. On the flip side- the studio was very centrally located in Ptown and they accepted walk ins so that's a plus. I just wouldn't recommend accepting Joseph as an offered person to get inked by, but I'm sure there are other artists there who are wonderful.
