I was greeted by Doug, who makes you feel at home with a very calm and positive vibe. He then introduced me to Pablo, the star of the show. Did I say star? Rockstar is more like it. When Pablo says deep tissue, he means it. At times it felt like I had two guys working on me. He uses his thighs, knees and shin at the same time as his hands, forearms and upper arm. I don't know how he does it so flawlessly - he's like an octopus! He treated the problem areas I mentioned while connecting the work with the rest of my body. You can visualize how he makes the muscle progression. He is incredibly effective. When I called to make the appointment, I was informed that the cost is $75 for the 60-minute foot reflexology and cash for tip (all of which I had no problem). Prior to the massage, I was charged the $75 which was fine. At the conclusion of my massage I paid the employee a 20% tip. As I was walking away, the employee stopped me and pointed to the sign on the wall which identifies their tipping rates. She was making a point that I under tipped her based on the sign and she was insinuating I pay her more. The sign listed a 60-minute massage as a tip rate of $20 (which is more than 20%). Mind you, the sign did not contain language such as suggested or recommended. Furthermore, their website says nothing about a mandatory tip requirement. Per MA state law, businesses cannot require a tip on services nor can employers demand/request a tip (unless it is a service charge or for large parties). Tips are considered discretionary and are up to the customer. While it was my goal to leave this experience relaxed and rejuvenated, I ended up leaving offended and annoyed.

I was able to get in the following Saturday since my boyfriend spoke to Kathleen and told her it was my birthday. Body brushing is a method of exfoliating and the massage followed. The place smelled wonderful and add calming music and a peaceful setting, I don't know how I was able to stay awake! The massage was perfect and I picked lavender as my scent for aromatherapy. She placed hot towels on my neck, back, and knees as part of the massage, I was in heaven. We got a deal through cape cod daily for 50% off which is encouraging when trying a new place, and she offers great package deals which gives you a discount for your next sessions. I am definitely purchasing 4 more sessions for $260 which saves me about $35 per session. She also makes her own soaps and other products all natural and she gave me a free soup bar that smelled delicious and so pretty.
