We even exchanged text messages with a gal named Mary CONFIRMING they can see her with her insurance. Never once did we mention she had state insurance as her SECONDARY insurance. They called the day of her appt and left a message saying they were cancelling her appt because they didn't take state insurance. I called right away and the first thing I askedbthe receptionist was, "do you take regence blue shield through Boeing?" The gall on the phone said "yes we do." I said "ok, well my daughter who has regence blue shield had an appt today that you cancelled this morning and you reason was 'you don't take her insurance'." She looked up her appt and proceeded to tell me it was cancelled because they don't take state insurance. Um ok, that's fine, because that is her SECONDARY insurance, that insurance was never mentioned when booking the appt. So how did her secondary insurance even factor in? And you aren't even billing that insurance, you are billing her PRIMARY insurance! The gal was incompetent in understanding the difference between primary and secondary insurance and just kept saying over and over, we can't see her because we don't take state insurance. They went out of their way to look it up and cancelled her appt for having a secondary insurance they don't take! Her primary insurance is regence blue shield and that's the insurance that was given to them. Clearly this place is NOT a good place to go! They deliberately look for state insurance so they can turn them away.

Dr. Kim explained everything very clearly and had wonderful bedside manner. Stacy and Krystelle (I'm not sure how to spell her name) were both fantastic and the front desk was incredibly helpful. When you get MOHS here, you stay in the same room the entire time rather than shuttling in and out of the exam room. They take good care of you (which is good, as the wait is long) while you are going through this process. The surgery was smooth, and the follow up care was wonderful. The office called the next day to see if I had any questions or issues, and the directions given when you leave are very clear. Getting my stitches out a week later also went very smoothly, and my incision site looks much better than I had hoped. I have had several different MOHS surgeries with different doctors in different locations. All of them were fine, but this experience was far above any of my previous experiences. I really hope I never have to have MOHS again, but if I do I am really glad to have Dr. Kim and her staff to return to!
