The reception was welcoming, dental assistants and hygienist were very pleasant and patient through my sons X-ray procedure and teeth cleaning. And Dr. Webb is simply a natural with kids and more importantly, not pushy. He was very thorough on his explanation with preventive care and future treatment plans on my sons 5 cavities (eek). It's hard to find a Dentist practice that will take your insurance as well as providing a…read morecomfortable place for dental work. After searching for a dentist in the Mason, OH-Mainville, OH area, I found that this practice has a lot of great dentist. The front desk staff are always very friendly, they explain all of your benefits from your insurance plan, and they always ask if you need detailed receipts for your HSA plan. Also, after initial consultation, they print you a summary of work needing performed and costs of each service before and after insurance has been applied, so you can plan out the dental work that you can afford. I didn't have the most knowledge on each dentist, so I didn't have a preference when I scheduled my first appointment. I was given Dr. Gene Schlank. He is a very skilled dentist that used to teach Dental Medicine at the University of Maryland. I explained my issues and the suggestion from another dentist in the area trying to push gum grafting on me. Dr Schlank explained that it's easy to suggest this procedure if you don't really look into why the gums are receding. Instead of gum grafting, he suggested a bite guard after letting him know that I do grind my teeth, which is a primary cause of gum recession. This was a lot cheaper than having gum grafting. I value his opinions because he's not just trying to push unnecessary procedures just to get money. He explains everything he's doing in my mouth before it happens so I'm not surprised. I highly recommend this place and especially Dr. Schlank!

very bad management and system in this place. was there with one doctor in Feb 2025, got teeth…read morefilled under sedation. When it is time for regular cleaning, was told need to postpone the appointment until July 2025. Ok then we waited until July 2025 and they said another doctor will need a medical clearance form before he/she can do any cleaning and regular dental check. I said it doesn't make sense, how come you didn't ask this type of form last time with extensive dental work under sedation but need it for a regular checkup? But they just instist I need to find someone, a PCP or any specialist whoever can give a paperwork to ensure they are not liable for this July exam. OK, then I said I cannot, I am too busy and don't think my PCP would agree with providing a not standard additional form. And then they said then they need to reschedule us with another doctor who will not require such a form. but we need to wait one more month until August to do the cleaning and regular dental check. You really can see the system is not transparent and different requirement were implemented depending on who you will see. Good luck!!

My daughter had some tooth decay on her front teeth from her bottle. My original dentist…read morerecommended veneers, anesthesia, and hospital performance to fix at over $5,000. The tooth decay was minimal, and she made me feel horrible. Aside from that the treatment seemed extreme and risky for a 3 year old. I decided to get a second opinion. Dr Creath proposed we try and see if she would allow him to do a paint like filling on the teeth. 3 year olds are hard to keep still was the biggest risk but he assured us he would try, take as much time needed, and if it didn't work we could look into other options. Well my 3 year old sat perfectly still, it took maybe 20 minutes, and was $75 vs. $5,000. We have maintained those teeth well, no cavities since, and she's now lost them to the tooth fairy. I highly recommend Dr. Creath he was kind, patient, not doing it for the money, and looks for non aggressive treatments as a first resort. We drive 40 minutes just for him!

The staff has been getting more and more arrogant and difficult to deal with. The doctor herself seems to hurry through explanations, if any, and pushes frequent x-rays a little too eagerly. The specialists she recommends also seem to be similar, too eager to do invasive (=expensive) procedures and not too keen on explaining what they are doing. She lost my trust. Taking my kids elsewhere. Pet peeve: why does the staff keep calling the parents "Mom" and "Dad"? They are only Moms and Dads to their children, not to these nurses who apparently can't be bothered to read the name off a chart in front of them and address the people as Mr. or Mrs. so-and-so. Small thing, but shows laziness and lack of care, IMO.
