I have had a fear of…read moredentists since I was a small child but since seeing Dr. Flannery I no longer feel anxious prior to an appointment. He has a great chair side personality and I always feel like I have a thorough checkup and professional treatment for any tooth issues.

Dr. Flannery has been my Dentist for 16 years now. Prior to his current office, he was with a…read moregroup and I followed him here, like many of his patients. His office is fantastic. Clean, current and friendly. Unfortunately "going to the Dentist" is never followed up with, "and I can't wait" or "is so much fun". But the staff at Dr. Flannery's office really makes the difference. His Dental Practice has expanded and he is now one of two Dentists within his office. I've been fortunate to have a few different Hygienists and can't say enough good things about Jenny. She's so nice and always so thorough. I've had a number of things done over the years. Cleanings, fillings, root canals and extractions. Always a good experience, considering the situation that is. Dr. Flannery also has a number of recommendations for other services such as Oral Surgeons and/or Orthodontists for additional services that he may not perform. I've fortunately/unfortunately used some of his recommendations as well and was pleased with the outcome. Look - it's hard to write a review on a visit to the Dentist. But if you think about it, it's what you put into it, really. Your visits to the Dentist are going to be a result of how well you take care of your teeth or how poorly you take care of them. Aside from that, yes, things will happen. I've been very happy seeing Pat and his Team for all of my Dental needs. Whether a planned visit or a last minute urgent visit, they've always been able to help and get me in quickly. Would I go back? Twice a year, at a minimum, absolutely. And you should too!!! Take care of your teeth and Dr. Flannery will take care of the rest! I'd add pictures of my teeth and mouth but that would just be weird. I also don't want to take pictures of the office, since it is a medial office with other patients, privacy, potential witness protection program participants and other teeth kinds of things.

During a recent routine cleaning, my regular dentist noticed a potential issue with the implant and recommended that I start by returning to the original provider--so I did. From the start, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I was initially told they never received my X-rays, so I personally brought them in. Once I did, the story changed: I was told the X-rays were "too grainy" to use and that they would need to take their own. When I asked how much that would cost, they said they didn't know and refused to look it up for me. I had two separate appointments, and at no point did anyone actually examine the problem or ask questions about my pain or symptoms. The focus was entirely on finances, and the tone made it very clear that they were not interested in helping me. The staff was rude, dismissive, and not honest about the situation. I am still dealing with tooth pain and genuinely hope to find a provider who will help me--but it will not be Advance Dentistry.

Instead, I was handed a staggering $3,565 treatment estimate that raised serious concerns about mandatory root planing being pushed, insurance and pricing transparency, and additional treatment recommendations that did not align with my recent dental exam. 1 Root planing pushed as "mandatory." Dr. Paola Castillo Ordonez insisted on $522 root planing and refused to perform a basic cleaning when I declined. After pushback, the doctor briefly said cleaning was possible, but the front desk later refused again unless I agreed. 2 Insurance and professionalism concerns. I was told my insurance cost for crowns would be about $1,600 per tooth and that their in-office rate of $1,200 was "cheaper." However, when I reviewed my insurance plan, the crown codes listed were closer to $500. When I asked which specific code was used for my estimate, as the code shown did not even appear on my insurance schedule and where did the $1,600 figure came from? She told to contact my insurance company myself to find out why the code they used was not showing on my plan. Once I began asking detailed questions, the responses became noticeably uneasy, vague, and deflective. During this exchange, the desk staff member walked away and left me sitting in the dental chair waiting; after receiving no assistance, I had to get up and walk out on my own. 3 Questionable additional treatment recommendations. Recommending significant additional work beyond what was recently evaluated raised serious concerns and felt more like an attempt to upsell services rather than patient-centered care. Due to this experience, I canceled appointments for my entire family of six. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and carefully reviewing any proposed treatment plans here.
